Are you "the talker" or "the quiet one"?

My sister just called a few minutes ago. They had company for four days from California and her brother in law talks all the time....to the point where she said she just went in the bathroom sometimes for peace and quiet! LOL....I spent two days in close range of him too and I know what she means! I have a friend that talks all the time....but since I am more a quiet person it works out just fine. I will admit sometimes I don't hear all she is saying! LOL.....so are you quiet or a talker?

Hi jillhill I have to say i am a silent listener type, i don't much talk when in a group of friends i rather like to listen to what others have to say, i like to occasionally drop in some humour in between and this is how they like me, sometimes they anticipate for something interesting i have to say and i love doing that, i have to admit i am shy to new people and takes me time to open up to them, but one thing, i can be really talkative when i am excited, i sometimes find that quiet weird about me, but i guess God made me that way and that is how i will be . . . and also i am not the quiet type here atleast at mylot, i find written form of communication more comfortable for myself to express with, anyways have a good day jillhill

I'm the quiet one. I think it is because of how I grew up with my sister. Mindy, my sister, is 2 years older than me. And that girl cannot stop talking (although she is more considerate now). In school, church, whatever avenue, the girl talked so much that at one point I started raising my hand at dinner so she and my parents would know I had something to say. I'm completely serious. It took that kind of action to get a word in.

I do not consideryself as a talker or a quite person. It really depends on the situation. If there are some people that I feel comfortable with, I definitely a talker. If not, I am a quite person. I tend to listen more than talking with domeone that I do not know.

I'm the quiet one normally... I am the one that just chills and take life easy as it comes. I know a few people who never stop talking... all the time... everyone actually get annoyed at these people a little bit (but never will tell that person). Although if you are too quiet people can also get annoyed! Gotta love the way people think and complain about each other! Peace!

I am the talker but not to the point I rule the entire conversation. Have to stop once in awhile to take a breath..lol My husband is more on the quiet side and I do know he tunes me out at times. It's pretty obvious. Am not a phone person so don't spend time talking to others on the phone. I do like quiet time also and go in the computer room to work on the computer or a craft and watch television sometimes during the day and most evenings.

You know what, I absolutely adore this type. We should have databases of shy people who can talk a lot, and make it commercial. Most shy people are usually hard to open up, but when they do, you'll never believe the things they have in store. I guess since most people are bent on having others hear what they have to say, shy people don't often get a chance to shine. So when they do get such a chance, they make the most of it, and its amazing. Talk about a diamond in the rock.

compared to my friend you could say I am mute :) compared to my mother in law and my sister in law I am a broken record :) compared to my family I am normal. My friend talks so much that I can train a parrot to say yes every 5 min or so (on the phone) and she will never notice you are not there. When she meets a new person she will know everything about that person (even total stranger in the park that she will never see again) my husband just asked me what does our neighbour do for living and I said "I dont know" he said we better get our friend here so she can find out. On the other hand my mother and sister in law are both very quiet untill you get them talking so I have to do the talking at the begining. In my family we all like to talk (but not as bad as your sisters brother in law)

I guess it depends on what kind of mood i am in. I have been known to be moody, lol. It also depends on who i'm around. I can be a jabberbox sometime.

When I was growing up, I spend a lot of time with my grandmother, who was a talker. Maybe that's why I'm quiet. I never had an the chance to be a talker. I prefer being quiet. I also have a couple of cousins on the other side of the family who are talkers, and most of the family tries to avoid them whenever possible. They drive us all crazy with their constant jabbering, usually about doctors, medicine, their latest illness, or people we don't even know. Knowing how the family and friends are about them, I wouldn't want others to feel that way about me.

I'm an interesting combination of both. I like to communicate but not all the time. I'm kinda funny in person around people I really don't know. Sometimes I can be a chatterbox, other times i'm so quiet you can hear a pin drop. I'm like that around people I know too. It also depends on if I like them or not.

It depends on the day i am in. Sometimes i am in a sober mood and i prefer not to say anything irrespective of what happens around me, but when i am in happy mood then there is no topic under the sun that i am not able to talk about. I hope, now you know!!:) :(

Depends. If I don't know anyone, pretty quiet. If they are talking about typical things I don't care about, food, sports, girls, then I am quite. If they are people I know, or talking about a subject that is remotely interested, then generally I talk. However I don't talk non-stop like that. They say someone that talks constantly is a sign of insecurity.

I am more the quiet person most of the time. Sometimes if it is just my husband or son I will talk a lot. It will depend on what they are talking about though I want them to know my opinion on the subject too.

I am definately naturally quiet in real life! Over the years, I have found myself attracted to talkers though, I guess it is all to to with opposites attracting and being in balance! My wife and daughter can talk all day long, but my son and myself are a lot quieter. We can hold down a conversation easily enough once it has started, but we just find less things to start talking about!
