Ugh! I just HAD to stuff my face with.......

DORITOS! It was one of those insane cravings where I just popped right up from my desk, RAN down the hall and dug into the pantry and opened up a bag. It has even taken me about 10 minutes while I sat here and scarfed down chips and added other interests to my lists because I need both hands to type and only ONE to click a mouse! I wonder if there's something wrong with me or it's just Thursday. What do you think? Do you crave something like this once in awhile, all the time, never? I hardly EVER get a craving like this! It was crazy, it was spectacular. I guess I will put on my gym clothes and bring my daughter a snack so I can go undo this damage when I pick her up soon LOL! Share with me your cravings! What do you you long to stuff your face with? Keep it clean, there are minors here lol.

PANCAKES Oh man I went through a manic pancake phase last week where nearly every meal became about pancakes, and sometimes maybe even two sets because after I finished the first I wanted some more. There was just something amazingly relaxing about the mixing of the batter; the cooking of the pancakes themselves, and then the ritual of eating them...shame the eggs ran out or I would be doing that again right now lol In the past, prior to the pancakes, it was biscuits - especially shortbread fingers - muffins, or doughnuts. I used to have a collection of them in my room just in case that craving appeared so I wouldn't get frustrated or too distracted by it lol! It is just a shame that the cravings never seem to be for healthy things, I wouldn't feel so bad about a rabid banana eating phase lol All the best and don't let yourself feel too guilty lol :) Dranz PS: The worst ever was a craving to go to an all-you-can-eat buffet, but that was always cancelled out by a lack of money so I didn't have to worry about it too much lol

Cravings are so strange, aren't they? I've craved somewhat healthy things before but yes, for the most part the cravings are for junk food, desserts, snacks, etc. COFFEE. That's another big one. I love lattes. Speaking of pancakes, the last time I craved something like that I tried making stuffed french toast. I like stuffed french toast... it's just regular french toast but you layer some cream cheese inbetween two slices and cover the top with a few plops of orange marmalade. It is SO good.... another idea is layered with cream cheese and topped with cinnamon apples and drizzled with caramel. More like a dessert than a breakfast.

I know the feeling! My weakness is potato chips and dip - I just LOVE it! I actually try not to even keep it in the house because if it is here, I eat it!

I'm usually that way with chips and salsa... guacamole too. I love salt though, bottom line. I'll take nuts or cheese or popcorn, doesn't matter really.

I think it is partly the weather, it is almost back to school season, combined that stuff with stress and hormones and temptation and it is a binge just waiting to happen. Just move on....and hope it does happen again... today!

I crave chocolate. Dark chocolate. I am on weight watchers though, so when I eat it, I do only 1 piece maybe twice a week.

I had to chuckle when I saw this because I did exactly the same thing about half an hour ago! I only had a small bowl of Doritos, but there was no way round it - I just had to have them. I justified it by thinking that maybe I was lacking salt in my diet!

I always think that's what it could be. I like salt. I am probably a salt-o-holic. Quickest way to get me to eat something unhealthy and lots of it? Salt. I ate some fries today. I ate a lot of junk today actually. Oh well.... I'm not like that all the time.

My cravings aren't usually that strong. I'll get in the mood for something specific or for a type of food and then if I don't actually get to eat it I'll continue to be in the mood for it, if that makes sense.

That's what's so funny. Usually I can keep a dang lid on it. All I did was THINK about the fact that there were Doritos somewhere in my pantry and I couldn't help myself. I do know that if I'm craving something, it is much better for me to just have some, because if I let myself have it, I can portion control. Now obviously I did not portion control the doritos on Thursday but that's why I wrote this discussion lol. Anyway, as long as I know I will get some of whatever it is, I can usually have a little and stop and then I'm fine. If I tried to deprive myself, I'd likely eat the whole bag, a whole package, 50 of whatever it was... get what I'm saying? I just don't deprive myself. It backfires severely.

The other day I was so depressed. I was doing some shopping then. I decided to eat and what I had was KFC. I know its bad, the cholesterol, the fat. But its was sooo satisfying afterwards. =) I've given up on junkfood because my mother who has cancer is also dipping in when I open a bag of potato chips. So in order for me not to tempt her, I just don't buy any.

You sound like me but I go for the chocolate! I swear if it is the house I have to have it. Not just a piece thou, nope cant stop there. I end up eating way more then I need or that anyone needs for that point! I dont know what it is but I just love the taste and I cant seem to stop myself.

Doritos used to be my dirty little secret...I could live off those things. Over the years I guess I got enough that I finally satisfied the craving for the most part. About once or twice a year I pick up one of those little snack bags, polish it off and I'm all good again. [b]**AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~[/b]

I did the same thing this week, i had two different kinds of bags of doritos and i stuffed myself, i love potatoe chips yummy! But my main craving is for chocolate for some reason, i guess because it fills me up, but i don't even like sweets, things like candy i don't like and the only reason i chew gum is to freshen my breath. I love to induldge in chicken, pizza and french fries especially? I don't know especially, my favorite food use to be chicken, but now i just love to eat, i have a severe craving for food, i love it. But when it comes to snacks, chocolate is my passion, ooooooh yeah! Especially dark chocolate like hersheys candy bars, oh my goodness, i love hersheys candy bars.

I crave chips . The saltier , the better . Since I quit smoking 5 months ago, I'm an non stop eating machine , but I have a real craving for salty chips . I could eat a bag a day all by myself ! hmmm no wonder my jeans don't fit anymore

I don't normally get really bad cravings that make me want to run to the kitchen, but I do get cravings. I normally crave salty things or meat. I know strange that I crave meat, but some days nothing but meat will do for me.

Hi, mommyboo. I have cravings of sliced cold lemons with lite salt on it. And sometimes, I crave lite vienna sausages. This can be in the late nights. I will wake up out of my sleep and I will go to the fridge to get me something to eat. I love craving this especially if it is not an unhealthy food.

Hey mommyboo! I get those types of cravings too often! When I was visiting "mommie dearest" she had bought a bag of garlic onion sun chips! Well, I started eating them and couldn't stop and made here buy more! I love chips and these were baked too! Damn they were good! I even took 2 small bags home with me and they are actually still here uneaten so far! I now have decided that I am in love with those chex mixes! I was eating a bag of them on the plane! Those are the kinds of things I get cravings for! At least I have stayed away from my chocolate and replaced that craving with my Dannon Light and Fit Yogurts!

You are not alone, so don't be too hard on yourself. A few weeks ago I managed to finish one of those massive crisp bags that are designed for sharing on my own in just one sitting. I felt really guilty afterwards, and a little sick, but I couldn't help it, I had a craving that had to be satisfied!!

i am like you. when i have a craving it's always for chips. i am not really into sweets. but i have gotten dressed at 9pm and walked two blocks to the stores to get a bag of chips and dip before. ok a few times... ok just last night and it was 9pm but more like midnight!!!!! i know i know i need help.....
