Dont you hate it when your sitting down doing something and your so involved you dont realize your say.. drinking your coffee(or another drink) and then you go to pick it up and WHOOPSIE DAISY!! its all gone.. and for a fraction of a second, before you realize it MUST have been you.. You think about looking around for a culprit only to figure out.. the suspect is actually yourself!! I apparently didn't make my coffee strong enough this morning!? any volunteers to make me a new cup ?

Who drank the coffee, not only in the cup, but also who poured the second one out? I was sure it was there for when the first one was over. Now seeing as there is only me here... The cheese in the fridge that I left there yesterday (or was i the day before?) and intended using in the risotto... Anyone believe in ghosts? But then they don't drink coffee do they?

I would make you a cup but all I have is swill--they don't carry my coffee in this town anymore!! I'm drinking a Mexican espresso that is better than the crap most stores carry but not as good as my Italian espresso that I can no longer find. GGGGRRRRR!!! Yes, I have found my cup empty when I'm involved in something I need to concentrate on. That's why I do light stuff in the mornings, like myLot, and leave the serious stuff for later on.

I had a bf when i was in my teens, and i stayed at his parents house on the weekends sometimes, well, his parents where gone out one weekend, and we found (what we thought where) coffee beans in the freezer! YAy!! so we drank a POT of coffee together while working on his barn (laying flooring) boy.. it was espresso.. we had the floor laid by the end of the day lol record time! but whoaaaaaaaaw. talk about hyper! We did think it tasted a little funny!

Did someone say Italian espresso? I can't get started without it but then I have no difficulty finding it as I am over here where they are bred on it Is it missing entirely there now or just a temporary thing?

I hate when that happens. I think my cup has a leak. It was full just a moment ago. Then Poof!! It is empty. I don't know how it happens. I find myself looking around for leprechauns or gremlins. Oh well. I am off to make more coffee.

lol. the rough part here at my house is, i only have a one cup coffee maker! that's all i used to be able to drink without getting the jitters!! but now my tolerance must have gone up or something, cause it takes me more and more coffee to get going now a day!

Hi ya Sissygrl It is so gutting when that happens. You look forward to what you think is the last couple of gulps of coffee and the lightweighing cup should immediately tell you it is all gone but the information seems to take too long to get from your hand to your brain, it is then too late and you have put the cup to your mouth and your eyes look down to confirm what your lips have told you. Nooooooooo!! Then the realization sets in that you have to drag your lazy a** back to the kitchen to make yourself another cuppa. Yeah it sure has happened to me and it sucks!! LOL

It happen to me quite often too. It was full before. The next thing I know the cup was empty. It's like I've drank it unconsciously and didn't really enjoy the taste and aroma from the coffee. That's not enjoyable at all~~~~ I have to refill it everytime. I lost count how much did I drank in the end. That's how I become a coffee junkie~~~

Well,it happens to me when I am absorbed in something else and pay no attention to the drink. For example,I like doing homework and reading magazines with beverage.I will hold it and drink it without conscience. When I finish reading ,an empty bottle is left there. It seems ridiculous. But it happens. We concentrate on one thing and ignore the other. In these occasions,we have to get another bottle to enjoy its velvet taste.

I basically have quit drinking coffee so I would volunteer but mine is no good! I think I make it way to weak for anyone....oh....and I think the same thing sometimes when something is missing....I might have forgotten what I did with it but think I put it one place and then when it's not there I think someone has taken or moved it on me! LOL

YES!! and your like BUT I ALWAYS PUT IT IN THE SAME PLACE EVERYTIME.. but this one time.. you can't find it.. you've absentmindedly put it in a totally different spot, you would normally never ever put it..... omg i did that one time with my keys when my friend was visiting from ontario. my kids where screaming in the car cause they wanted out of the carseats and it was stressing me out a little. i placed my keys INSIDE of my wallet, instead of in the zipper part of my purse where i always put them.. and it took me TWO DAYS to find them! WHY ON EARTH DID I PUT THEM IN MY WALLET?! THEY ARE ON A LAYETTE!

Yes I have done that before, and I find it to be funny. I'll be mad at whoever I think it must have been, and then realize that either A. They have their own cup, or B. I've been aware enough to know they haven't grabbed the cup! So I know it HAS TO BE ME... and then I just laugh, groan and get more if I want it! lol! It's as if, you hardly know your drinking it and then your suddenly thirsty. It makes me wonder, if your not aware your drinking (so absorbed in what have you) whatever it is your drinking that the drink doesn't actually quench your thirst? hmm... THIRST for thought! *giggle*

When I was a kid in grade school, my milk would disappear. I later figured out that kids were stealing it.... most of the time I can keep track of how much I am drinking or eating.. but there are still times when I wonder if I've been on autopilot because it seems I've consumed more of something than I thought. One wonders, did I blank out or 'lose time.' :) At this point, odds are that I am not yet suffering dementia. Maybe one day this will not be the sort of story I relate and imagine that it is some kind of joke. :(

I had that happen a time or two. You get some coffee then drink it and get distracted and it is gone before you get to enjoy it.

This happens to me more times than I care to imagine, and is rather depressing when you're enjoying a beverage or snack, only to realise you've finished it. My worst offender are the small packs of Oreo cookies. Breaks my heart every time ;) ~Mr. Kennedy~

LOL I do that all the time. I'll be sitting at Second Cup, reading a book, and I'll reach for my latte, and all that'll be left will be some chocolate syrup at the bottom of the cup. LOL Same with the glass of water I'll have right next to it. That'll be gone too. LOL
