why do some mylotters start beating on those of us who get behind in our comment

this is I guess a bit of a rant but I have read a dozen or more comments to a discussion bawling out us my lotters who have not commented on our responses.okay I am behind but I am trying to catch up.but the comments were so unkind, like we should not be here if we'just start discussions blah blah.they dont even know me or why I'am behind, I am judged by people who arent even on my friends list and why: I am trying as hard as I know how, but even here I do have some other responsibilities besides mylot.I hope everyone reads this, I am sorry if I have offended anyone but I can only do so much in any one day, so please give me a break,I swear I will answer every one of the comments I get but I cannot stay here all night for one thing I have a roommate who has a heart conditions.she need s her sleep and really so do I.What am I supposed to do?9 people like this

You have certainly not offended me HAtley EVER! I think you do an amazing job on here and I am full of admiration for the stamina that you have and how many posts you do here every single day - amazing!
Were these comments generalised or were they aimed at you? I have seen discussions talking about users who churn out discussions and never comment back but that is not your case ever. I have seen you keep coming back every time I leave a comment on one of your responses wherever it happens to be. If theses users mentioned you then they should definately be reported. If they were just generalised comments then don't take it to heart. They don't know you and are obviously not aware that you beat most of the young ones on here!

of the newer ones here who are behind too and they have kids'and
responsibilities and this person was saying these people who make
discussions and dont reply should be this and that, and that really'teed me off.they dont know any of the mylotters personally]
so why judge.

SCREW THEM! sometime there are a huge number of comments and some actually do not require a personal response. Who the heck are they to get crazy about getting a response BACK to their responses...HELLO! Mylotters use MyLot in different ways and it's not up to them to choose what you should do next. Hatley, you have over 16,000 responses and discussions. I bow down to you JUST FOR THAT!

used to say as a little kid, I am trying and eventually
'I will get it all done,in between things going on here'and
my doctor appointments we all have lives outside mylot.

I don't always get around to mine either. Sometimes life here just doesn't allow it. I do not get mad when people are behind on commenting anyway. I don't even know why they would. I would not let it bother me. I get on here when I can and do what I can. You do very good.

I have not had anyone do that (at least not that I know of) but I would just ignore it. I sometimes don't get on for days at a time and with all the other email I have to go through it is impossible to keep up with everything. That's one reason it takes me so long to reach payout, but there is not much I can do. Don't stress yourself over it.

other committments besides mylot.Nobody should be juding'us
as they have no way of knowing our circumstances. I just'
got a bit upset as so many here have other things to do
besides mylot and should not be judged.

I am sorry you are going through this, I never felt this way and anyone that is here should know its not easy to respond to everyone, god knows I have tried and I am so far behind its really sad, I would not worry if I was you, I use to feel bad but not anymore I will eventually get to my notifications but these things take time, my friend please don't worry about this, you are not on a time limit here so work at your own pace, people should have a little more respect its really sad.

I saw that discussion and put my two cents worth in...and yikes the person was real snotty with one replier to his discussion
Don't pay attention to such people. I'm not always able to respond to my own discussions right away either and get behind..besides this person must think we spend our every waking moment here at mylot when we DO have lives and other obligations...right?

hi pyewacket yes indeed we do have other lives besides here on
mylot.if we residents dont go to the programs they have for us
a lot of them could be canceled for lack of attendence and some
of them are really worth going to.as I live here I should sort of attempt to be friends with people.

hello hatley. just ignore this kind of people, you know, we cannot just please everyone. they might be a bit self-centered and sometimes we maybe offended their pride (so they think) by not commenting on their responses but the truth is, what they're thinking is wrong...anyway, i wish you all the best, as always.good day!

I have seen several of the discussions, and they were focused on members who started many discussions in a day, and did not comment back. These members may be under the impression that the more discussions we start, the more money we will earn.
I do not think that they were directed at you, or members who miss making a comment here and there. I too have not commented on all the responses to the discussions that I started. I prefer writing more than one line, and there were times it was difficult to do so. In one case I was afraid that my comment would earn the ire of the responder.
From what I have seen most of us here do understand that other commitments can bog down the progress of a member. It is members who start a slew of topics, but never get involve in a discussion.
It is better to be late than never.

hi rosdimy yes that could be there are a lot who make one or two line discussions and many of them in one day and seldom do come back for'a long time. maybe some of those were what this person was fussing 'about. I dontlike to just make a one line answers as it seems'to me to be a tad insulting to the responder.

Pointedly requesting a response from an individual is like asking for a compliment. It's bad manners and poor reflection on the person who requested it. You do a terrific job getting back to people Harley, so I would recommend you file comments like that in the 'circular file'. Have a great night!

I hadn't heard that term before, but I like it. Makes sense, since 13 is an unlucky number and one would get rid of it quickly. Most waste baskets aren't round anymore, they're rectangular. So I think I'll adopt the 'file 13' to replace 'circular file'.

Don't listen to anyone else on here, after all they really do not have any right whatsoever to judge you. It is best to ignore everyone's comments on here that offend you, otherwise you would go mad! Reply in your own time. In my opinion, an eventual comment on a response is better than no comment at all!

oh my dear...hope you dont have to rea on this kind of things. and i do hope you dont have to get affected. you can report them. its an abuse. we have all the right on what we have to do here. and they have nothing to say about it. dont worry friend we are and i am just here to support you. i can understand how and what you have been through. so just shrug it off away. and put that smile back in your face dear.
no need to keep track to this kind of persons. and just erase it out of your system. dont get affected by their rant.

I am behind on here as well and now that i have lots of friends i know i also have a lot of discussions to reply to.Just like you i try my best as well as i also have a house to run as well as the children to look after.I can do no more than my best so if that is not good enough all i can say is that if anyone else can do better be my guest.Happy Mylotting.

Sweetie ignore them as far as I am concerned everyone does everything in their own time
As for those that are passing out grief try to learn Patience not everyone can be on mylot 24 hours 7

hi gabs hope you are feeling better, I feel fine but have been getting fluid retained in my legs so am lasix so have to run to the bathroom about every hour whee so that slows down my commenting.also we have programs here for the residents and if'
we dont go they could get canceled as funds are limited, so I
take time out to go to them, and mylot less on those days,I have
'a life outside mylot like other people.

I think they mean people who post discussions and disappear. I don't think they are referring to people who are a bit late commenting...heck I'm 4 or 5 days behind in my responses...as you can see. I don't actually start too many discussions and I try to comment back to those first if I can. Don't worry about it my friend. You are doing ok in my book. Just do stuff in your own time. We all have other things to do.

do they have the right to do that? dont we have the choice to comment back or not. supposed we have a reason for why we can not comment back as fast as we loved to? how about the member who is really busy for something came up unexpectedly? it is not up to them, it is up to mylot. mylot is not saying anything about members who are behind on giving comments so why do they have to say things like that. it is not also against mylot rule if we dont give comments. oh hatley dont mind them they are angry to themselves for maybe they have thier own problems and they just find others to blah blah about. we have chores and children to tend to and busy with something else. if they dont have use of their time or they are not busy like us then they just have to do some other KIND things or GOOD things rather than blah blah about nonsense.
