My Puppy - Isn't she precious?

How was your weekend? I talked to my ex hubby and he agreed I needed a break. I am caregiver to his brother as all my friends know. Hubby offered to take his brother and look after him till the end of the month. Hip Hip Horray!!! I got to see my puppy that was just the highlight of my whole weekend. I will have to go pick up my brother in law at the end of the month, so I have 10 days to do what I want when I want and I get to see Puppy again at the end of the month. Gotta Love that. How was your weekend?

Thank You for your response. The fun better start today because all I did yesterday was sleep off and on all day in my chair. My brother in law came to live with us in 2001 and even when hubby and I were together I have never had more than one overnight stay each year with my daughter. One day a year is not much so I'm loving this. Thanks again!!!

Your puppy is realllllly cute. How come you only get to see him/her a few times a month? That doesn't fair, Do you and your ex have joint custody of him? Just kind of curious, oh my weekend very bad. I had to deal with one of my husband's friend's and I hate him.

Whenever there is a dog involved, there is always some feeling of joy! I'm so glad you get to see your puppy. My little Sherlock is sitting at my feet right now.

Thank You for your response and your comment on my doggie photo. I will always be able to see my dog but it's a long ride for me and my husband isn't allowed to bring her here. He has come a couple times but I was told I will be evicted if I have the dog here. That's crazy because she doesn't even go outside, she's paper trained and quiet.

That was a plus for you!!! All the way around. I had a busy weekend sitting on my butt doing a craft sale....it was okay but very tiring. I haven't figured out why I get so tired just sitting around! LOL

Sometimes sitting around can make a long day especially if you're an active person most times. Thank You for your response.

That ex-hubby/house ape of yours sure has his nerve to give you a break and take care of "his" brother. What the heck, I am happy that you got to see your dalin puppy, I know how you miss him. How far do you have to go to see him? Its really too bad you can't keep him where you live, clearly he loves you more then him. I had a good weekend, I am in the beginning stages of getting to know someone, so thats fun and exciting. Its been a long time since I have dated or been with someone, so I am nervous too.

Getting a break is great. Without a break, it can be too much to handle after awhile. And seeing your puppy, that is wonderful. We have two dogs and I would miss them so much if I didnt' get to see them all the time. They bring so much unconditional love that, well, I can't live without it!

That is wonderful for your husband to take his brother for a short time. It's great to get to see the puppies when you have not seen them in awhile. Too bad your husband can't take his brother more often and give you more breaks. Enjoy you free time while you have a chance.

Hi, My weekend was great. We went to Canmore/Banff.Met our foster sons girlfriend and her daughter and her friend. Spent from Friday to monday there. We took in a dinner Theater. It was expensive but wonderful, and very differant. The actors accually served the 5 course dinner. The show was called O'Canada Eh. I am so glad to hear you are having a break and getting to see your little dog. I would love to have a dog and I actully fell in love with one that we were looking after but hubby said "NO WAY" and I understand that because we do like to travell and it would be impossable to have one. Enjoy your break and if you like stop in N Battleford when you go through. Take Care, Gladyk

Thank You so much for the response and the invite to stop. If you travel a lot it would no doubt be best to not have a dog. If I would have ever thought I'd end up here in a place where I can't have a dog I would be thinking it best not to have got one also. Sounds like you had a good weekend and hopefully we will meet soon. Take Care as well.

How nice of your ex to offer to look after his own brother... What will you do with the extra "me" time? Something fun, I hope. My weekend wasn't too bad, but ended with a slight headache Sunday night that grew stronger throughout the night, only to become a full-blown migraine. I haven't had one in years.

Awww! That is so nice to hear, Grandma! I'm so happy that you got to see your sweet little puppy! I know what it is to miss our furry friends. Enjoy your break any way you wish. It's hard being a caregiver and every one of them needs a rest every now and then. My weekend? It was, uh, interesting. My dog got stung by a bee/hornet on Friday, I believe it was. Then, she swallowed a quarter-sized piece of rawhide and we're waiting for it to show itself in the end. THEN, she caught and killed a mouse... her first "kill". It was most definitely a 'Lilly weekend'! My other dog, Penny, got an unscheduled bath because she had poop stuck in her behind (yeah, half-in, half-out... eww), then she got a haircut. It was most definitely a doggy weekend! But, I did manage to get outside and harvest some potatoes, tomatoes and perennial flower seeds. I also began going through all of my kitchen cabinets and getting rid of stuff I never use. (A rare thing for me, to be sure. LOL) So, it was pretty busy around here. Well, I was busy. My husband slept or watched TV for most of the weekend. He's a lazy man.

I kinda envy you...;) This is because I lost my favorite dog in the world and it really bothers me for some months now. I really don't have any idea where Bruno is, band it really made me depressed. I love my dog. He is such playful and he's like a human who is really sweet. I was like watched the news the other night, wherein the woman from AUstralia had her cat back after 4 long years! WOW. as in WOW. That is a miracle! I hope I could find my dog too. SIgh.

That is awful not knowing where your dog is that's enough to drive you crazy isn't it? I've heard of cats finding their way home after long periods of time but never 4 years that's amazing really! I hope you find your dog I really do. At least I know where mine is even if I can't see her all the time. Thank You for your response.

I had to take a disabled client on a 4 hour trip to see a specialist on Friday. It's such a long tiring trip, taking 9 hours all up. If I don't get enough sleep in the days before, I get very tired which makes driving difficult, so I tend to be stressed for a couple of days before the trip. It was a great day!! I had good sleeps before hand and it was a beautiful day. We had a great trip with a few laughs. At the end of the day I was grateful for our safe return home and I felt truly uplifted and that feeling stayed with me all weekend. The days were bitterly cold and it was very windy, weather which I detest so I stayed inside mostly. I have some planting to do and I hope the plants are ok but I'm worried that I have not wanted to be outside in this horrid weather. But I have done some great chores inside and I'm feeling really pleased with what I'm achieving. All in all, it was a great weekend. . I'm really happy that yours was so great too and that you got to see your lovely pup was a wonderful bonus.

I truly hope you are going to take these TEN wonderful days...and "butterfly" it, just flit around...and enjoy life to the fullest! You, truly deserve this much needed break, as you have had a very, very stressful time! Is there some wonderful retreat that you and your puppy can get away too? You amaze me with your strength of character, and your adaptability! Heaps have been piled on you, the last few years...now is the time for you to be selfish...and enjoy! So nice to hear from you...have you had to find another residence, or has things settled down where you live? Cheers, my dear girl! Butterfly it! (And remember, butterflys are beautiful!)

Butterflys start out as cacoons...so you were "cacooning" it! Good on you! Haven't had one of those "jammie" days for a long time! But do have one or two in the winter! Still wondering if you were forced to move because of the other tenants? Have another "cacoon or butterfly day"!

Maybe your ex is coming around mind wise and sees how much it's taking a toll on you with taking care of his brother like you are. Who knows, maybe he'll come around more often and offer to care for him more to give you a break. I only hope so anyway because every care taker needs a break! As for your dog, she is so precious in your avatar! I bet she was really happy to see you too!!

I had a good weekend. I went to a volunteer appreciation party Saturday Night to honor the volunteers out at EASI, the therapeutic riding center where I volunteer. We had barbecue, catfish, and some desserts. This was held out at Sipsey Farms. Sipsey is a little community not far from here. Then, our revival at church started the next day. We've had a meal about an hour before the service each night and I have been wanting so bad to cut back on my eating, lol! Tomorrow night is the last night, though. Thursday night, we have adult bible bowl and we always have a meal after that. I guess I'll just have to wait till after Thursday to start cutting back. The food has been so good, anyway. We have a lot of good cooks where I go to church! I'm so glad you got to see your puppy. I bet he/she is a doll! Kathy.

Sounds to me you had a very busy weekend. I don't think you should have to worry about your eating pattern, sounds like you'll wear it off in no time. Thank You for the kind words on my puppy. She is four pounds of unconditional love. I love her so much.

I exercise everyday but I do need to cut back on my eating. I do some form of exercise such as riding horseback, walking, floor exercises, pilates, etc. I stay busy all the time. I like to be busy, though, because time flies by a lot faster that way. I have a little dog, too, so I know just how you feel. Kathy.
