How do you make meatballs?

I make mine very similar to the way I make meatloaf. Honestly I don't think there's much of a difference at all. It made me wonder if others make their meatballs the same way they make their meatloaf, or is there a difference for you? I use Italian flavored breadcrumbs, ketchup, and a bunch of seasonings like onion powder, garlic powder, italian herbs, and usually some minced onion and garlic too. What do you put in your meatballs?

Nothing much different from you actually. I do make my own breadcrumbs to cut down on cost and sometimes put in grated carots or pieces of green pepper. This stretches them! I do like lots of garic though but I haven't made a meat loaf in years

I made meatloaf a couple weeks ago. It took awhile, but my husband finally started liking it, so now I get to make it more often, which is great because I love meatloaf!! I don't make meatballs nearly as often, not sure why.

I pretty much do the same but I Parmesan cheese and usually a little bit of the red sauce to keep them moist. I also bake them in the oven for about a half hour and then add them to my sauce. Baking them is so much easier then browning them in a pan on top of the stove and alot less messy.

I have recipe for speghetti sauce so more or less the same spices that I would put in the sauce. I don't like tomato sauce in meat loaf, I do add some ketchup on top thought. My meatloaf and my meatballs are 2 different things I add butter to my meatloaf, and don't do the spices that are italian. I want meatloaf, not something that taste like speghetti, but then that is me. I guess it up to each ones taste. Way I make meatloaf, I use, ground beef, eggs, onion, garlic, pepper, salt, a thing i use called Nature's seasoning, butter, bread crumbs, sometimes I throw in something different. Put a bit of ketchup on top. Did you know that if you buy really lean ground beef where there is not very much grease you can cook it in the microwave for like 9 minutes.

I rarely make meatballs, but when I do they are pretty much like I would make meatloaf. Ground beef, filler such as oatmeal or bread crumbs, egg, onion, and spices.

When I looked up recipes for meatballs, they were almost all similar to meatloaf. So I experimented. I made a batch of meatloaf, then added a different ingredient to each handful. Just to see what we all liked. My favorite added ingredient was brown sugar. Such a delicious taste! My husband liked soy sauce and the no added ingredient handful. My daughter liked the one with zesty Italian dressing. Can't really say a concensus was reached. We only liked what we liked and totally hated the others.

I use half ground beef half ground pork. Wheat bran and germ instead of bread crumbs, 1 egg, oregano and garlic, that's it. I brown them and then add them to a slow cooker already filled with spagetti sauce in which any veggies I feel like sneaking in is.
