Do you know which one you are?? Right brain thinkers are visual and creative while left brain thinkers are more logical and analytical. Take this simple test: http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/right-brain-v-left-brain/story-e6frf7jo-1111114603615 then do this quiz: http://www.intelliscript.net/test_area/questionnaire/questionnaire.cgi?q=right_brain_left_brain_2 Do you agree with the results? Do the results make sense to you...tell us what you think?

mstickle hi oh I know that I am a right brain thinker as I am visual and creative, when I was in college'I had a photographic memory and when I took my tests I could envision the page that the info was on in my mind even down to any hen scratches or other notes, and of course I aced most tests. I don't do so well on shapes and math stuff but am great at all things English.

Wow, a photographic memory...that would be awesome. I'm a bit that way too, remembering the whole thing but you sound much more gooder than me. English is my besterest subject too. (feeling silly, I is).

I managed a total recall like that once, but it was only once. I can't remember how old I was, but my mother asked me a question about something that I had read, and I found that I could see the page in my mind and read off the information that she wanted. That was the only time that I've been able to do that though.

My results were 14 to left and 5 to right side. I agree 100% that I am a left brain thinker. Thanks for posting this neat test!

Yes I have always been this way and many people find it an annoying trait in me!. What is perhaps strange both my husbands were very definitely right brain thinkers and need my lefty traits to keep them down to earth and in the real world!

Why are we not taught this sort of thing at school so that we can focus on the things we are good at and also learn to be able to get along? (That's both my left and right brain at work LOL) The good thing is, your analytical mind knows why you aggravate people so you can use your powers to your advantage. In light of your marriages, I hope that they got you to come out and play sometimes...I love balance, don't you?

Hi Ms. Tickle I consider myself a left brain thinker. However, when I did the test I got the same number for left brain and right brain. I also could not get the dancer to reverse. So, I wonder if there is such a thing that sometimes we think with the left brain and sometimes with the right brain?

Yes of course...everyone uses both left and right sides to think...it's the degree that matters.

Hi! Thanks for the links! I loved them! In the first test I see the picture in clockwise direction. And it took me a bit to be able to see it the other way! :) The second test confirmed: I am a right side brain person. Funny you started this discussion. Just a few hours ago, I answered about this in someoneĀ“s discussion!

Hi Calliban. Yeah, me too. I was responding to a member about hobbies and she didn't know about right and left brain so I thought....hmmm....and here we are.

Sadly Calliban, I'm not one more than the other...just slightly right brain dominant. I guess that means that I will never excel at anything.

Hi Ms Tickle, it is with regret that I must inform you that much as I would like to I am unable to participate in either of your tests for the simple reason that your links don't work. As such I must remain clueless as to which side of my brain functions the most. However you may be able to advise me from this short information. Computers and physics bore me to rigidity, whilst history and literature keep me up for hours. For practical things such as nails I take advantage of men whilst I can bake a superb cake.

Hi Thea, that's a shame...try Googling "right brain left brain". If the top option is from the Sun herald, that's the first quiz and the next one is the second one. Sorry you could not access the links. Yep, sounds like you are right brain. Musical and artistic versus logic and analysis....basically. Does this sound like you?

ok..so according to the second test, i got a 14 for left brain, and an 11 for right brain, so that one says i should be left brained, but when i looed at the dancer, no matter how i tried to veiw it at a differnt angle, she was ONLY turning clockwise, meaning right brained.. i am confused...and now my brain hurts......BOTh sides of it...LoL

Hi Liz. That's a pretty indicative score for being a left brain thinker. Let me say though that we ALL use BOTH sides of our brain and being right or left handed has nothing to do with how we think. However, it is found that left handed people are mostly right brain dominant. The same thing happened to me with the dancer...I could not make her go the other way no matter how I tried. Later, I was standing up and I glanced down at the screen and there she was, turning the other way....all the time. I sat down and she was still going the other way but changed all of a sudden. How weird this test is. Do me a favour and try again, look at her from a different angle and let me know what happens.

i still tend to think of myself as more of a right-brainer...which as i said, makes sense since i am left handed and all, maybe i just was ovr thinking when i answered the questions! But as for the dancer, yes, i did go back and look at her agian (even before i got your message imploring me to do so) and i found that if i concentrated on looking at her feet and the shadow below her for a few seconds, i could finaly fee her twirling the other way...for a little while anyways, though eventually she would go back to rotating clockwise until i concentrated on her feet again.

oh...and i am left handed......so that would make the dancer one probably more correct than answring the questions...

So you use both sides of your brain nearly equally, with a little bit of right brain dominance.

Did you do the quiz as well? If she goes both ways that means you use both sides of your brain with no significant dominance in either left or right brain thinking.

I've taken a similar test if I can remember, it's on Facebook..I'm more of a mixture of both left and right, but more on left. I love both combination, really and I've read before that lefties tend to be either one of the two..

I was hoping to be a little more of one than the other but I'm almost equal...leaving me weaving down the middle of the road. I wonder if this is where my indecisiveness comes from?

What an interesting test! I'm left handed, although I can also write right-handed. Other than writing (or drawing) I favor my right hand...for example, in baseball, I bat right-handed. I took the test and both scores were pretty equal, with the right side being slightly higher. I'd say the test is accurate, and was fun to take. What did you think of it? Thanks for posting it!

Hi catdla . Actually, whether you are left or right handed has no bearing on it. It's the way you think. I've always know about left and right brain tendencies and been interested...just thought it would make an interesting discussion for everyone. I got the idea from another discussion I responded to.

I've always heard that left-handers have more developed right-side of brains, and vica versa for right-handers. That's why I thought it was interesting that my scores were pretty even, and I use both hands.
27 Sep 09
her's one for u..yes, i can see the dancer going both ways! starting at clockwise & can make it counter---my score says left-8 & right-7...wonder how many are that close...but both sides fit me well...haha..i always knew i was weird!LOL!!

...Hi MsTickle. Haven't taken the test as yet, thanks for the link. I am of mixed breed. By that I mean I am an artist and a writer so, I am creative. I am also a Libra, which causes me to analyze just about everything. So here I am, left brain some days, right brain on other days, and very happy to be me. Take care always.

Well, that's answered my question on another discussion, thank you. I am apparently quite definitely a right brain thinker. Haven't tried it on Mr Croc, his attention span is too short, but I will.

Aww have a go bunny...it's actually quite interesting and a little bit of fun. And yes, you can be a little bit of both...in fact you definitely DO use both sides of your brain to think but one side is always dominant...like if you are a mathematician, you are more inclined to use your left brain. If you are artistic or musical, you are more dominant probably on your right side.

I chose not to take the test and quiz because my internet is so slow and I wanted to respond quickly! I think I am a left brain thinker. I am not very creative most of the times. I am more of the logical and analytical thinker. I try my best to be creative, but it is hard. I guess I can think visually if I am really into it. For example, I can visualize what a SAT test might feel like.

Yes, we all use both sides of our brain, the interesting point is, which side is domininant. A lot of people have been almost equal with a slight right side dominant. There have only been a few responders who tip the scale and they are very definitely left brain thinkers.

My brain test results says that my left brain is more dominant than my right brain (left=13/right=11). This is actually fun, but I'm not sure if it's accurate though. But the thing is, all the improvements that our mind can create in different aspects and areas of our lives is possible if we are wiling to improve and learn. Anything is possible to a person who has faith.

Welcome to myLot...yes, you are sooo right. A person who has faith in themselves and believes in themselves and the abilities can do anything they can set their mind to. I think it is safe to say that it is pretty accurate. If you based the questions on a right brain perspective like painting for example we would probably get a different outcome. I think the questions asked in this quiz are a great leveller.
