i think it is silly. when i take the time to work off a few pounds those pounds stay off much longer. when i want to lose weight quick the weight usually comes back quicker

I think when you lose weight quick, it's not allowing time for anyone to build up nutrients, it's just a way to lose a bit of weight before a big event, etc... It's also unsafe, I've heard.

That is true, because when someone loses weight really fast it is usually just water they are losing and not actual fat so the minute you go back to eating normally the weight comes back. If however you work out and work hard and it takes a month or so to lose a couple of pounds those pounds are most likely pounds of fat that you have lost and you will likely have gained some muscle so the fat is not going to come back as easily.

hi thenaturaldiva my doctor told me the best way to lose weight and to keep it off is to lose slowly no more than 5or 6 pounds a month slow but steady then you will be more likely to keep it off. this means you do not abuse your poor'body by starving yourself but by cutting down gradually and losing steadily and slowly then staying at the right weight. this is a lifestyle change rather than the old dieting way.

I think losing weight quick is not healthy since you're body will lose nutrients fast. Losing weigh is not that easy if you will not have the determination and will power to be fit and healthy.

it really depends on how you are making yourself lose the weight. If for example you eat 10 burgers a day and you cut it to 1 a day..you will obviously lose weight fast and it wont be a harmful weight loss because you have basically cut out a major fat source but if you cut down on healthy and nutritious food then losing weight quickly can put your body in a nutrient-deficient state that would be harmful.

I agree with you on that one. Everyone seems to want to lose it as fast as they possibly can, but they usually are just losing water weight or muscle mass - and will gain it back almost more quickly than they lost it. In my opinion, it's also a long-term commitment!

I used to lose weight easily when I was younger. But now, since my metabolism is getting slower perhaps because I have aged, it is harder to lost those unwanted pounds. I do not think that losing weight easily will last longer. I have accounts of my friends wherein they tried the easiest way to lost those unwanted pounds but in the end gained it faster than they could think of. It is a silly move to shed them off faster.

exactly! besides it is not guaranteed safe. some products that offers quickest way to shed extra pounds are not BFAD approved and may cause some health problem in the end. i still believe in the traditional way of losing weight which through proper diet and regular exercise. (i actually want to lose some weight and its really hard!)

losing weight quickly has many negative effects. this will make your body weak. to lose weight have it gradually.

I don't think losing weight fast is very smart. If the weight you have lost comes back then what is the use? What we should do is avoid sugars, excess salt, oil ,fat etc .We should eat more of the food that increases our metabolism rates and we should work out.Easier said than done. One should carry on the effort to reduce weight.Well,I am trying to do the above and loose some weight.Wish me luck!
