Yesterday i went out to the frezzer & GOT WHAT I THOUGHT WAS A BOX OF CHILI. i SAT IT OUT TO THAW FOR MY SUPPER. wHEN I GOT READY FOR SUPPER I WENT IN TO WARM UP THE CHILI & guess what , it was strawberries. Give me a break they are sort of the same color, lol. Anyway i made a cobbler out of the berries but that left me nothing for my supper. but i did have dessert that i didn't need to start with. Do y'all think i need help, lol. i do.

hahaha! that was really a funny experience antiquelady..dessert became a starter. though i guess that was better than the story of a man who drank a soy sauce mistakenly for a coke.

It happens sometimes... At least you have made something nice out of it. I once thought the blended dried tamarind mixed with sugar WAS brown sugar. Lucky I realized it before I mixed them with the jelly I was going to make otherwise it would taste really odd and wasted. So, I guess the trick of labeling always works.

LOL, no you do not need help. YOu did what we all would have done in the same circumstances. YOu didn't really look at the pkg. I do it all the time. We just get out minds on something else and do stupid stuff. Let it go. Eat the cobbler. Find a grilled cheese and enjoy :) hugs, quita

That sounds really good. I love chili too though. I have never had a cobbler made out of strawberries before. I can see how you got it mixed up if they were frozen and about the same color.

But it was good, wasn't it Jo? LOL That's all that matters, right? LOL You got your daily worth of strawberries! Now I can tell you about a time when hubby and I had matching cups and he had soda while I had tea. I had accidentally picked up his cup and drank from it and liked to have spit and sputtered silly!! Big difference between soda and tea!! LOL Luckily, you could see what it was you had before you took a bite.

Dearest, That sounds exactly what happens to me usually! I can give you an advise that I donĀ“t follow: things in the freezer should have name and date. I have done that about 3 times in 40 years. It was an intelligent thing to do, I discovered. But I am so dumb that I always rely on my memory (which is worse every day that passes). Anyway, the strwberry cobbler soundsa delicious. Hug!

that, dear Jo...is a simple mistake to make! But, alas you go to treat yourself, with delightful strawberries....BUT, I do NOT trust myself, so I religiously label all goodies in the freezer. The reason, I use so many recyled containers, that you can't see thru...so unless you want surprises all the time, labels are the answer! Sure hope your weather is a lot better than ours, RAIN...NO THERE'S a GREAT BIG HOLE in the sky....and some-one left the taps on up there! Yikes...we have gotten 10 inches in 12 hours....I'm on my way to gather lumber to start the ARK! Will PM you about supper-time...and hope your day is great..dear lady! LUV $ HUGZ!

I had a label on it but all i had put was the date. I thought it was chili & didn't look till i got ready to warm it up. I was sure surprised, lol. Cobbler was good tho, lol not that i needed it of course. Sonds like your weather is the pits. Where was all that rain when u were having the heat & sleeping outside. Weather never behaves. IT hasn't rained here today just overcast, windy & cold. I am ready for sunshine!! weatherman said it would be up to 65 mon., go figure. Hope your rain quits, that's alot of rain in 12 hrs. take care & STAY IN THE HOUSE.
