Somebody just sent me this today. It's a way to get people to take the stairs instead of the elevator. Thought it was pretty cool. I know I'd take the stairs if I saw this. Maybe even get there late. What about you? Have a look: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2lXh2n0aPyw&feature=youtube_gdata

Hi dawnald, The video is not available it said, but I for one never take the elevator and I have got stuck in one before and wouldn't go in it again, so I always take the stairs, when I need to. Tamara

I checked out the link you gave on tamara. If only everyone could use the method of using the stairs, I think I will have eggs for biceps in no time. Because after toning the legs, I would want to balance off the hands/arms too..

Well of course I would have to try it out, but I do believe that once would be enough and then I'd enjoy listening to others "playing" while I stood on the escalator. Oh - I'd be more inclined to "play" them going down!

Well our smile muscles need more exercise, and laughing is one of the best exercises, so I'll stick with that. Thanks for the best response.

That is a brilliant dea! Wish they had them here and then I would definately use them. Did you go and look at the website? The word 'fun' caught my attention and I guess there might be some more ideas there soon.

Not enough time stopped me getting here earlier. Must have been a man that decided there are only 24 hours in a day

We Americans have always been good at stealing good ideas from other countries...

That is so cool. I want some of those stairs in my apartment. It would sure pump up my exercise routine. Do they actually have stairs like that somewhere in some mall?

It was Sweden and it kind of looked like a subway station... Now I'm going to have to go back and look! :-)

I love it! What a cool idea and the results speak for themselves! They should do that in more places, it would be fun and clearly it really works! I am guilty of almost always taking the escalator instead of the stairs; I should make more of an effort and exercise more.

That looks like fun. I try to use the stairs anyway, but that would definitely make it more fun and entertaining. If there wasn't anybody else on the stairs, I could even see myself trying to play a song on them.

I feel bad because i am having problem accessing the link. Anyway, exercise for is always fun. I know i will burn more calories and it's really good for the health. Now instead of taking the cab in going to work, i am taking the bus because this allows me to walk a distance from the bus terminal to work. I want to lose weight in a healthy way and i know this is one way of losing weight. I will choose the stairs than the elevator. I love physical activities.

THanks for reposting it again. It's okay as long as you live a healthy lifestyle you will be fine. There are lots of things that you can do than exercise to keep you fit.

This was very interesting and believable. I think this would really work if it was fun to take the stairs. I know I would take the stairs if they were fun and as it shows many others thought the same thing. I wish I could find more things like this to help us to get excerise. Who does not need ideas like this? Anyone got any other ideas like this?

In fact that is really a great research for them. and really fun. those kids are just like running around the stairs, but also it can be dangerous so they must be very careful. it is very lovely to see how many people change from using the escalator to stairs. it is like giving the stairs a new life.
