Yep, I like my extra long pads with wings because I don't really like dealing with soiling the garments. Do you ladies like them too? PS I don't really care, I just want to see if any of the guys will stroll on through here and crack me up

well the shorter the better as it tends to make the floods splash in one tiny place.. wrapping 'em under just creates streams to flow in different directions

Hello, Dawn. Another inspiring discussion. I haven't needed any of those since I had my bits and pieces microwaved about 7 years ago. (No, I didn't have to sit on the revolving glass plate, before anyone comes out with that one. And I didn't need to cover myself in cling film to prevent spalshing either!) I did like the winged ones, though. Only trouble was, sometimes they went a bit overboard with the glue, and a couple of times I ripped my knickers trying to detach them. I don't mind having my knickers ripped off on the odd occasion, but I do object to ripping them myself, and of course, they were brand new ones, not the old tatty ones.

I try, I try. Bows modestly... I have never managed to rip my panties, but I have occasionally had annoying sticky bits that were hard to remove. Perhaps I should forward this to some of those companies for their R&D people to have a look at.
5 Nov 09
good Lord it must be a nightmare having ripped knickers! does that mean the older you get the more likely u knickers will split up then?

Well now I wouldn't say that we do care. It is just not a subject that comes up at the dinner table, or a party, or at the office, or most anywhere a man is around. Of course we are not going to bring it up for a couple of reasons. First we don't want to get slapped. Second we may be asked to go buy them at the supermarket. Now there is not much that scares many men but this would. To stand in the checkout line holding a box of extra long maxi-pads with long ears would just about be all the embarrassment most men could handle. Don't ask me why.

Hey dawn! Once again you've found a discussion that STILL attracts the bravest of the brave guys to respond (except for poor Sconi)! But, at least you gave him brownies! I remember those wingy thinges and they just weren't designed correctly, so as others have said, designed by a MAN, of course! Be there, done and done! And so glad! But, with that comes other issues, just sayin'....

Lol this discussion definately made me laugh. I don't use them at all as I don't need to. I am on the contraceptive injection and its stopped them completely. Which is fine by me. Though a bit weird I have to keep checking its working and there not missing cause I'm expecting!! But when I did I guess I used both. Just depended on what I needed

yeah I wonder about the side effects... but I'd be happy about that particular one!!!
5 Nov 09
Well so far no ill side effects only the fact I don't them them which for me is great. I was recommended the injection by my doctor as I had really heavy really painful monthlys which gave me migraines as well. So for me it is a blessing I no longer have to worry about it. It does feel a little strange but I can cope with that. Pads with wings are uncomfortable =/

On a more serious note...I use the ultra thin overnites with wings because I tend to flow very heavy both night and day the first 2 days of my period.

Forget pads for me now. I have to use the adult diapers AND pads that can go in them cause of the fibroids and can't wait for my surgery to be done with them once and for all.

I think wings are fine, as long as they are on birds. What I would like to see is, ALL BIRDS WEARING UNDERWEAR, SO THAT WHEN THEY FELT THE NEED TO LET GO, THEY WOULD NOT BE DOING IT ON MY CONVERTIBLE TOP. IT'S HARD TO GET BIRD DOO-DOO OFF OF A VINYL CONVERTIBLE TOP, ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY HAVE BEEN EATING MULBERRIES.

How are we going to get them on the birds? Any suggestions? Maybe we could genetically engineer the baby birds to hatch out with them already in place.

You know I have been married all my life and never once ask my wife about this. You just never know what you can learn on Mylot. With such crampt space down there I would think there is little room for more. Extra long, wings or what ever. I always thought that tampons would be much better and more convenient right up until I started wearing hearing aids. Yup! Pads are good. I have resisted replacing my aids with them however. People tend to notice. I won't give them any more reason to laugh.

Hi. dawnald. Yes, I try to buy these too. My blood flow tends to flow medium and I don't like for my underwear to have blood on the side of them. That is why I always try to wear dark colored underwear that does not have a white panty lining to it.

Ha! I don't need the extra long . . . it makes me feel like I'm wearing sumo wrestling gear - ha ha. Or makes me feel like I'm sitting on a swing sideways - ha ha. I like the wings . . . but sometimes it won't stick to the garment and sticks to me instead (probably because I rushed to put it on) - and I hate that because I get allergic to the adhesive!
