So we are in the formatting stage of publishing our cook book. I just love Adobe Acrobat Pro, btw. Anyhow, I'm realizing that I have no imagination when it comes to breakfast . . . a bowl of cereal, scrambled eggs blah! Pretend it's a wintry Saturday morning and you have no plans (except to watch College Football, of course) and you decide to make a special breakfast for your significant other, family or just yourself. What would you make?

I am in my kitchen - Well for this type of breakfast, this is teh best time.
Hello my friend gtargirl Ji, Well, I am nortehrn part of India, where lot of fresh vegetables are available at vey cheap rate. Due to climatic conditions and weather, I would go for different kind of Baked Potoato/sweet Potato, and then fried 'Puries and stuffed Katchauri ' with many different vegetables and in different color as well. I may take you to my kitchen now and see the preparation. May God bless You and have great time.

That looks really yummie even though I don't know what Puries and stuffed Katchauri is. A baked potato for breakfast is different too. I actually like to eat that cold for breakfast, skin and all. Yum. Thanks, my friend.

Hello my friend gtargirl Ji, Well, we are pure Vegetarian and like to remain within four walls of vegetables/fruits/pulses/grains and never look at anials/birds/se-foods. But at least baked/boiled/fried potato without onion/garlic will always welcomed here. May God bless You and have a great time.

Eggs scrambled with peppers onions and mushrooms. A very light "Swedish pancake" filled with strawberries, and a side of the best ham I can afford. I want a nice cappuccino and a glass of pink grapefruit juice.

Those Swedish pancakes are hard to make. You make them from scratch?

Very, very creative!. Well, I have two fried eggs on toast for breakfast at the weekends! On other days I just have cereal! Well, I am joking with you! Two fried eggs on toast doesn't seem to be all that creative! I'm kind of stuck in this routine when it comes to making breakfast! I haven't had porridge for a long time now and winter has suddenly shown its face once more so I could do with a bowl of that in the mornings! I like coco pops and sugar puffs. I guess it's good to have a variety of different things. Andrew

Hi Gtargirl, A special breakfast isn't hard to prepare. But if you are not creative enough, you make need to make preparation in advance. You may need to search some idea online or get some inspiration from some cook books. Have you heard of bento before? Few months back I was in this bentoing hit and I bought some many bento stuff online. With these bento tools, I can create very nice and special breakfast in a lunch box. I have make some bento for my kids. But compare to this mummy that I know, she even set up her own bento experience in a blog. http://motheringcorner.com/ Check this mummy's blog, I hope you get some idea from her blog. There are many theme breakfast there, where you can decorate your food into some funny or cartoon characters like stitch, mickey mouse, Hello Kitty, and many more.

My hubby is simple he would want sausage gravy, homemade buttermilk biscuits, hash browns and maybe some scrambled eggs. He rarely eats pan cakes. For me if I ate eggs I would have a Western Omelet, two stripes of bacon..toast/biscuits.with juice.

For a special breakfast I'd make omelettes using a large flat pan.. I'd fill them with lots of cheese and, sauteed (in low fat) onions, green peppers and mushrooms, with more cheese on top of the omelette, with a side dish of applesauce.

I used to love to eat breakfast foods every now and then no matter what time of the day it is. I am kind of burned out on it now though for a while. I used to love to eat eggs, bacons, biscuits, sausage gray, hashbrowns and sliced tomatoe.

Once in a while I will saute some veggies and then scramble some eggs into them, but that is about as creative as it gets.

I love omelettes at any time. A cheese, chives and ham omelette is very apt for breakfast. But there are lots of nice things to eat. Waffles and pankakes of different types, muffins and scones, french bread with garliv butter, a big glass of mixed fresh fruit put in the blender with ice. Even salads can be used for breakfast with all sorts of nice breads. Happy posting!

Hi Gtargirl, Breakfast is the most important meal for our life, never skip your breakfast either when you are in rush.Grab a piece of bread is also good. For me, I prepared my own breakfast every morning, for my husband and also my son. It is not heavy breakfast meal for us. Sometimes, I will prepare sandwiches with ham & egg, kaya bread, meesuah soup, fried beehoon, pancake. For the drink, I like to serve hot tea or warm barley water.

You know, breakfast food happens to be some of my favorite food and I happen to have a couple of breakfasts I make that are my favorites. First is pretty much a standard breakfast of fried potatoes, eggs and toast, sometimes with bacon. I like to make it using fresh diced and fried potatoes though, not the frozen hash browns or anything like that. The other one and probably the most popular, is sausage gravy and biscuits with fried eggs. And if I really want to make a big breakfast, I cook the potatoes with this one too. It's definitely NOT health food! But oh so good. I guess I should add pancakes to this list too, just because they are so versatile. I mean you can make just plain pancakes and syrup or you can get creative with the ingredients and make blueberry or banana pancakes or just about anything you want and top them with just about anything too. Ok, now I'm hungry...
