Not Going To Let It Get To Me

I don't get wrapped up with any rating. I just respond to topics that interest me. That way I believe it all just takes care of itself, it doesn't get my panties in a bind, and I don't get upset. I think I'll go to Walmart and spend some money.

I noticed quite a few discussion about this, too, and I have to admit that at first I was a little put off that my own star went from a 9 to 6. I was mainly just CURIOUS as to WHY something like that happened; I wanted to know if I had offended someone and they repeatedly negatively rated me or if there was a mega-troll on MyLot doing this. I honestly know that our stars are really not that important, but I do have to say that I like my star being at a 9 and I'd be a little saddened if it had permanently went down to a 6. But then I noticed about an hour later that it went back to normal, like nothing had happened. So who knows what was up with that. I certainly DO think it gave some people a fright though and stirred up a lot of people.

I'm not letting it get to me either. It is only a nummber and a color here at Mylot. It doesn't bother me at all either. I went from a red to a pink too and from a 9 to a 6. I used to be a 10 but have not seen that for three years now. I think it is a glitch.

Would be nice to get an explanation, mine did the same 9 to a 6. Strange??

Wow, Shar! I didn't even notice it, either, until I read this discussion of yours! Mine is down from a 10 to a 6 now, too. I've noticed many 6's and not one 10 anywhere. It HAS to be another glitch. Either that or someone with a HUGE chip on their shoulder has been awfully busy lately! I'm sure it's the former, though. I can't imagine everyone who had a 10 has gone down to a 6 because someone rated them negatively. Nah, it's a glitch and I'm sure it will be cleared up soon. Let's hope so, anyway, huh?

Lately there have been a lot of glitches here, and it can be quite annoying for sure. It makes you wonder sometimes what is really up with this site. The same time we had the glitch with our Stars and ratings, etc. my posting number never went up and I cannot find the discussions I responded back too the night before, or any signs even in Email of me ever starting a New discussion as well. But somehow I did earn a little bit somehow, so there is some definate glitches in here from time to time as well.

I haven't had any difficulty. Mine has been the same for a while.

Yep, I'm way behind in my replies! Undoubtedly you've already had lots of answers but I'll contribute my two cents. myLot is not big on letting us know what's going on. They treat us like mushrooms--they keep us in the dark and feed us bullcrap. Well, not quite that bad but we never know what's going on and there are rarely any explanations. I don't think that's a good way to run a website but it's their living room so I play by their rules.

hi shar19 oh my are there trolls here again? this is horrid. a few years back someone got a mad on at me, and two mylotters spent all night minusing everything Ihad ever posted. the next morning my ten star had become a five. I protested to mylot admins. who did investigate. they caught the two and banned them from mylot, and my star rose again but only to 8 but as it is I am glad its not like it was at five. I hope you have not been the victim of a troll. The only way our stars go down is if fellow mylotters hit a lot of negatives on us, so it could be someone has a mad on against you. report this to mylot admins. hit contact at the bottom of the page and tell them what you just told us.

I was the same as you - did not notice until it was brought to my attention. I am more concerned that my earnings have not been updated today!

It's clear from the responses here that it was one of those times when glitches are happening in this site. I haven't noticed any changes in my rating and points though. Hope everything is ok now.

And as I post this today, it is clear that it is fixed, I assumed that it was a glich....so all the ranting went on for nothing; if anything it made for a good discussion to get alot of responses. I didn't panic either. If it takes me longer to reach payout, then I would no longer stay on this site..it's as simple as that. But the truth is, many people come on here, just to chat and state their opinion, and they often don't care about the money...so I don't see why the panic. If there are those that come in just for the money, then they certainly had reason.

Well, it seems that everything is back to normal, but we have not yet received any clarification from the admin. Hope to hear that soon otherwise when it happens again, there will be more discussions about stars.

Well as we can all see it is all back now I thought it was a Glitch as I found it strange that every Member got downgraded and by 3 or 4 Numbers lol

I had not noticed yet. This is pay week, we often have glitches during pay week. I think you are smart not to let it get to you. As I notice now it has gone back to normal.

Hello shar19, mine is currently 8, and hoping for it to be a 9 or 10 soon. I have never experienced a drop in my rating and i hope i never do. Though i see you are on '10' again.

I haven't seen any reduction in my rank...maybe there are people who are misusing the rating system...I think this has occurred before and the admin has identified those people...anyways I can see the blue star back for you and it looks good...

An "aha" moment huh? Well, dah? I haven't been on here too much the last few days and guess I'd better find out if I too need to have an "aha " moment !!! Honestly, it doesn't bother me. I just enjoy being here and having new friends ! thanks for bring my attention to this tho.
