For those who live in apartments or just a wall/floor away from your neighbors!

That's the main reason I bought a house. I hated the feeling, when I lived in an apartment for a very short time, that the neighbors were about to come through the walls or the floor at any moment!

i'm sorry to say but i'm the one who lives upstairs. but i'm not the one who's making all the noise. it's actually my husband who is. he drives me crazy when he does, cause i try to stay quiet cause i know it would bug me. but he does it anyways. sometimes he forgets til he sees the look on my face. i'm actually surprised that they haven't said anything yet. he'll drop his bag down or he's dance around really loudly. but like i said i tried. i'm sorry this wasn't full of the laughter you wanted though.

Usally there are bug thud noices that I hear from my neighbours , reason being I live in a commercial place and you cant even think what its like there. I hear when they are trying to remove dents of the cars, and washing it with volume turn on of the tape, cd player in the car. On top of this my sisters daughter when everythign is quiet starts crying in the middle of the night or at the early hours of the morning. Her alarm goes up before my alarm for work. Life's like that !

I've been lucky enough to have quiet neighbors, but the one thing I don't like about apartments is that I have to make sure that I am quiet and respectful of my neighbors. Sometimes I just want to crank up my music, but I refrain.

well funny things happen with neighbours ...they r crazy they r nuts and what not.!

It's paranormal activity. They are all drinking standing up until they pass out, one by one. They are negotiating another Middle Eastern peace treaty (or India/Pakistan). Mr. Obama crashed their party. The sounds are the Secret Service doing their security tasks. I live in a very good apartment. It has to be a major party before I hear anything. Occasionally there is tires screeching in the parking lot, or children screaming (a couple of times adults were arguing just outside my building.) I worry more if I'm making too much noise.

It's all part of renting. I just keep to myself as much as possible and try to just ignore noises from the neighbors as long as they aren't being violent...I just deal with it. The kid noises and music really don't bother me at all. i'm ok with that sort of noise...it's life.

It's not too bad where I live. I live in the middle flat, I have someone above me and a couple below me and I can hear them walking about and so forth but this is everyday living noise I guess. I do love to exercise myself and I have three exercise machines in my flat. I don't know if I bother the neighbour downstairs but he's never mentioned anything so I'm assuming everything is fine. that's the thing about these new flats, the walls are paper thin and you can virtually hear everything including the constant love making!. I would much rather live in a house that had no neighbours nearby! This would be pure peace! That's not reality though as there's no way that I can afford to create that situation. i don't mind noise as a general rule but I suppose everyone has their limits and I have not been tested thankfully. i once had a very noisy upstairs neighbours. we informed them to be silent but no use, they did not care about us..lots of sounds from above, one day i got up from my sleep due to the heavy sounds from upstairs.. they were not even a friendly neighbour,just only a troublesome family..good thing after a couple of months of trouble they shifted their house to another place. the present neighbours are so friendly and good.

My neighbor do make noises. I guess in this apartment, even a normal sound can be so loud. It happens at night and seldom when the sun shines. At first I thought something paranormal happening upstairs but after a good look and observation, I think it is only my neighbor who does everything.The sound of something rolling on the floor, bed screeching and opening doors and everything can heard clearly in the middle of the night because it is quiet at that time. But , sometimes I do think that I makes that sound in my mind :O.
