That's really cool. Great news that you have some time off because of the snow. Of course I don't envy you. It's 15 degrees here with a wind chill below zero. Which is not as cold as where you are. Thus, I'll take the slightly "warmer" weather here. All I know is that when I got in my car today, I got a pop out of my backseat that was colder than it would have been if I had left it in my fridge. I'm just thankful it didn't explode.

I got about 7 inches here in my area Jill. The winds are bad and the temps are just as bad. Nasty frigid windchills. But I love it to a point. My wife gets no day off unless Minneapolis shuts down their streets. I am so ready for the Holidays. Only a couple more gifts to buy and ready to tear into some gifts. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Hi, jillhill. I am not quite ready for Christmas. I have not even started wrapping presents up either. Maybe, I will start very soon. The weather here is very cold and sunny. It was in the 40s as the temperature today.

Hey jill! That's great that you have so much done for Christmas! I haven't done anything yet and am not sure what I am doing this year! It hasn't been a good one so I don't know how much decorating I will be doing. My boyfriend will be off for a few weeks since he works in a college cafeteria and is forced to take off almost 4 weeks with no pay! So I would like to do some painting and stuff in the apartment that we still haven't finished! Then I will decided what to do about Christmas!

I am so happy that you have received the order and that you got a spare day to do things for Christmas. I received a lot of help from children this last weekend. Tree up and decorations finished inside and outside of my home. Many presents have been wrapped to. I will bake my puddings this coming weekend. Oh my sons painted all the white paint inside of the house and painted the walls of the sitting room. So we have a fresh look. Yes, I received one present from my daughter because she cannot keep secrets from me and it was an outfit and I feel so good in it. I told her to wrap it up and put it under the tree. I really AM SILLY OVER Christmas! Have not yet made a list but wil get around to it by tomorrow.

I am not even close to having my shopping done. I still have 2 pair of mittens to complete by next week. They really are simple to make and take no time at all. My problem is finding the motivation to do this! I also have to start my baking today. Our family Christmas Party is on Sunday. I normally make a bunch of stuff. This year I am keeping it simple. Homemade donuts, cookies, and maybe fudge. We had quite a bit of snow today and on top of that it was very windy. I didn't make it to the main road without sliding. I decided it was best to stay home. My clients agreed with me. They were thankful that I wasn't on the road. Do you have a photo of those candy bars? I would love to make some for my grandchildren. Big Huggers to you.

Enjoy your day off work. It's fun to stay home, not get dressed, do exactly whatever you like and still accomplish so much. Guess I could say my early Christmas present was to be able to spend time with our youngest daughter and her family. They were here a week at Thanksgiving. I'm ready for Christmas. Also have two kids with birthdays within a week this month and our son-in-law also. Cash and gift cards work very well. Weather here today is terribly windy. Power outages all over the place along with trees down. But, I don't have to shovel wind..lol

It is so windy here today that I would not be surprised if some power gets knocked out. There were a few branches in the road when I was taking my son to school this morning. Weather.com says that here in St. Louis we will get wind gusts of up to 50 MPH.

Power outages out all over the St. Louis area. Trees down also. I could hear it whipping around at 4:30 this morning so I just got up. Am not a fan of high winds. Stay safe.

We got the perfect type of snow, fleeting. It snowed hard but it didn't really stick and by the next day , it was gone. Perfect.

when I got to work it was 32 degrees, up from 28 when I left the house, but it is crystal clear, so I hope I get a nice walk at lunch time (in my nice warm coat, hat and gloves). The kids got 2 days off school, but I didn't get off of work. Oh well. And nope, not nearly ready for Christmas!

WoW! That's great dude, good for you. The whether over here is pretty cold, but not cold enough for any blizzards or snow. In fact, the last time it snowed was in 1999 and only for a few minutes. No, I haven't recieved an early christmas present yet, and I kind of like it that way, because when christmas day arrives, you will have all your excitement built up on all thos presents! As for christmas, yes I'm ready and I'm also anxious too, can't wait for it to arrive and the holidays to start!

That reminds me, I'll have to prepare my Christmas gifts' list now. The weather is still humid here, like summer. This must be because of global warming. I'm still thinking of what gifts to buy for colleagues, family members and friends. Wish me luck and merry Christmas in advance to you.

Lucky you I wish I could get a day off from work when ever there is a blizzard but unfortinally we dont get days off since the store never closes which is really stupid since they loose money im guessing just paying all of there workers and off course paying for the lights I dont know why they bother keeping the store open.
