Hi Mylotters!! I always prefer home cooked food because I don't like to eat outside foods. They are most of the times very delicious so,its hard to resist but I prefer avoiding them due to health issues. They are not oil free and may not be maintained properly.I also like cooking myself. So,there is the question for you.Which one do you prefer the home cooked food or outside junk foods?

just like you, tuyakiki, I prefer cooked food to junk food. and I also enjoy cooking like you do. I think beside cooking our won food is much healthier it's also cheaper. I can shop raw foods/food materials from market with only few rupiahs (my country currency). how about in a fast food restaurant? I must spend two times or even three times from my daily earning in market at once! so I get two disadvantages if I have meal in a fast food restaurant: spend much money and the most important thing is thread my health.

I always cook foods for my family. We seldom go out and have dine at restaurant. You are right,it is about health issues. Home prepared food were safer than those at the fastfood and other restaurant. I am not saying that all foods that are being served from outside are not healthy, but, with home cooked foods,we are sure what we are preparing for our family. We know what to avoid and what kind of food to give them.

Hmmm.. I think everyone would say that it's best to have home cooked meals. But there are times when you just don't want to cook and outside food would be better. But that's only on occasion and not regularly. If I were to choose, I choose home cooked meal over junk food any time. You're sure what's in it is healthy thought it's a lot of work compared to just buying out. At the same time, it's cheaper actually to cook (if you belong in a huge family) but it's cheaper if you bought if you're alone.

I eat home cooked meals just about each and everyday. I prefer it because its more healthy then the junk foods in the restaurants. I hardly ever go out to eat because I rather be home in a quiet environment and know what I'm eating has not been contaiminanted.

Both, usually I like to eat delicious foods but I want them as healthy as possible. Hopefully the fast food resturaunts will improve and serve more of a variety of choices.

I definitely prefer home cooked foods. Not only do I like cooking, it is far cheaper and healthier to eat home cooked. I look for the sales and discounts for various foods and can meals quite cheaply. Plus, as you said, it is usually far healthier. Many takeaway foods are high in fat, salt and sugar. Some of them are not even mad up of real foods, there is way too much preservatives and artifical ingredients in some take away food.

I much prefer home cooked food over junk food BUT sometimes I get a craving for junk food so that's a treat for me. Home cooked is better and healthier.

I eat at home mostly during the week but I like to eat out occasionally on the weekends. I live alone and I get tired of eating at home by myself all the time. I don't really like to cook that much, myself, and it's a treat for me to get to eat out every so often. I just get a salad sometimes. However, it seems like I'm always trying to watch my weight and sometimes I just eat whatever I want to when I eat out. Kathy.

I love fresh vegetables, over processed foods seem to make me a bit sick.

I think there is a time a place for each kind of food. I would guess everyone like home cooked best but there isn't always time for that. It's easier to stop at a McDonalds or a Sonic , or Burger king and mayb get pizza and come home and prop up my feet and enjoy !

It is always home cooked food... My mom in-law is best in cooking, she can cook really well and 100% clean and healthy, we sometimes eat outside like twice a month or maybe once. I am learning in cooking though..but my husband knows more about cooking than me

If you talk about healthy foods, then I'd prefer home cooked but ever once in a while, i'd like to eat some junk food from fast food places. Specially when I;m in a rush and I don't have any more time to cook food myself. Fast food junk in my own opinion are made for those people that are so lazy to cook on their own and most of these food are those high in cholesterol and just not healthy at all.

Its probably a good thing though. Its the way i should have been eating all my life. I always encourage everyone to eat pure and natural. Especially younger people. Dehydrated fruits are as good as candy and better for you.

Hi Tuyakiki. I prefer eating home cooked meals compared to junk foods or fast foods. I used to prefer junk foods before but I just recently made a choice to eat healthy foods and stay fit. Most restaurants have high cholesterol dishes and you rarely find restaurants which offer healthy dishes. As of now I also prefer eating vegetables, fruits and fish compared to the fatty foods such as burger and pizza.
