I really miss my high school days. My parents sent me to a boarding in Australia until I graduated year 12. It was so fun back then. You don't have to worry about the bills or food. Everything is provided by the school and every end of the term the school sends our parents the bills. I didn't have to worry about anything. I only care for myself in those days. Things have change greatly when I got married and had kids. I love the new challenge that awaits me. How to be a good wife and a good mom but from time to time I would day dream about my younger days. Don't get me wrong I really enjoy being a mom. In fact they have influence me more than I influence them like watching animes, playing online games and watch what they like to watch. You know what I really miss most in my younger days? My figure. I was skinny back then haha very skinny and so energetic. I was like 95 pounds then. I join hockey, jazz ballet and aerobic classes. I would jog 5 kilometers or more back then and I don't think I can even jog half a block these days. I could eat anything and get away with it. Oh how I miss snickers and timtam biscuits. Ruffles too. I miss pigging out.Pigging out on ice cream and yoghurt with your friends and best firends. Can't do that now at my age. Now I have to watch what I eat and it's quantity. So how about you what do you miss about your younger days?

Yeah, I know what you mean. the pressures of being a parent and providing for the family can be huge sometimes. It can be a constant struggle just to get ahead. When I look back at the things that worried me and I found hard as a child, I wonder why I was worried by these things that seem so simple now. I miss the freedom and relaxed lifestyle that I had as a child and I wish that my kids had the same freedom. The world is different today and it is a lot more fast paced. Where in Australia were you sent for your schooling?

I used to drive through Warwick to and from Tamworth to Brisbane. I attended boarding school at Pott's Point for a couple of years. The time I spent there were the best years of my life.

That sounds like it was a pretty good school to go to. I have been to Warwick many times. Mostly just passing through, but I have stayed there on 3 different occasions and will be going there again this year I think. It is only a couple of hours drive from here. I live on the Gold Coast.

I was sent to Scots PGC Colleges Warwick for 5 years. I agree with you that when we were young we get worried about little things and now that we are older and when we look back at our problems it seems so simple now. My school was so strict but still I enjoy it there because at home my parents don't talk to me much unless it's about chores and in school I was able to talk to the house mothers about my dreams and what I want to do when I grow up which I can't talk to my parents about that for they gave me no choice. When we receive detention we are not scolded like my parents do at home. They explain why we get detention and that's it. No long preaching etc, etc.

I grew up on a farm with good, honest, hardworking parents. They made us work pretty much whenever we weren't in school or doing homework. I am so glad they made us work like that. They taught me so much about life at such a young age. I remember not knowing what all of this political stuff meant and not worrying about our economy. Now, all I do is worry. I am happily married now and trying to conceive, but I would give anything to feel half as happy as I was back then. I miss it so much. I go visit my parents quite often now, but something is a little different. I love just sitting and talking to them, or helping them with stuff, but I just feel different there now. It is as if the farm I grew up on has evolved. Daddy has got bigger and better equipment. Mom doesn't cook as much. I miss fried taters and biscuits and gravy for breakfast. I miss fried bologna sandwiches. I try to make them now, and it tastes different. I've tried to fry taters, but they don't end up like Mom used to make them. I miss sitting on the front porch at about sundown, waiting to see Daddy's big log truck barrel up the road, and I would run out to help him carry in his lunchbox and water jugs. I miss it all so much. I've heard that when you go to Heaven, you go to the time you were the happiest. I definitely think it was then. Like I said, I love my husband and have had lots of fun, loving memories with him, but there is just nothing that compares to Mom and Daddy's house. Maybe one day, it will change when I have children of my own. I just know that for now, I miss it so much.

I can relate to you because when I was young and during the holidays my dad would make me work in his office. He would pay me and the money he pays me I use it for school allowance. I have 2 sons and I worry everyday too because I love them so much and I wish I had enough money to buy what they want. They want ps3 and a LCD. I wish I could make enough money to give them this christmas.

Who do not miss their younger days? I miss it a lot. I miss being excited when Christmas is approaching. I miss opening of gifts and receiving money from my parents, because at present I am the one who give money and give gift too. I really forget about my personal needs and wants, I give it all to my family. I miss my friends. I miss playing in the afternoon, having crush on guy neighbor. I miss collecting pictures of my favorite stars and collecting gossips too. I miss going to province, the house of my grandparents and stay there for month because it is vacation. I miss the carabao and the goat that I usually run after whenever we were playing. I miss hide in seek under the moonlight and ghost stories. I miss going to amusement park once a month and ride all the rides. I miss also my body before, i was thin before but now I am chubby. I miss being able to run fast, because now I can’t even walk fast. I missed dancing during fiest and experienced to win in a singing competition. When I was young I am very confident of who I am , I don’t know now. Hahahahahahaha.

you said it! I miss my younger days too! when i was in high school, i was the corps commander of our CAT (it's a student military training in HS), i miss all the fun when the authority is all yours. we were even more powerful than the student council. haha.. and my entire class was under my command.. i really miss those times... During our probationary period, we were ordered to accomplish a thousand push ups! most of the girls in my batch were against it, but of course, it was a wonderful challenge... it was my first and last time to work out that much! haha.. haaaiii... i'm glad i had wonderful childhood...

hahaha!!! that sure did happen a lot.. haha.. it was crazy when the younger ones do you a favor and they would even volunteer to help out in every activity.. i remember my batchmate who was also an officer even asked a lower batch to wash his uniforms just for the sake of exercising his authority.. it was bad i know, but it was really funny and we actually enjoyed it.. haha

I know how you feel because when I was senior we had power to give detention to younger grades if they break school rules. Most of the younger grades wanted to have a close friendship relationship with a senior so they give us food during break time and do small errands for us. They think it is so cool to have a senior for a friend.

I guess what I miss the most about my younger days is the happy-go-lucky attitude I had back then - which was okay, and it worked for me. For now it's just not gonna work anymore, as we age, we have to take more and more responsibilities and take life more seriously. I'm not a boring person of course I know how to have fun, but within the limits because I am very much aware of how bad the consequences are going to be. The things with growing old is, when I was younger how I wish I would grow up sooner. And now that I've grown up, I'm actually wishing to become younger again. I think humans are basically like that - we always want what we do not have.

I miss the fact that I didn't always have things that I worried about when I was younger. I now have two children and bills and it seems like between these two things I am always worrying about something. That said, I also miss the fact that when I was younger I had the opportunity to see my friends every day. Now that I am older, it is much less frequent that I have the opportunity to see my friends. However, I also think that there are a lot of great things about being older.

oh yes to a certain extent i missed my younger care free days. how i have grown, matured and now in my autumn years. every season of life has its attractions and fond memories. memories are made to last and to share at coffee tables and outings. thus to each and every one out there, live a good life and dont waste time doing nothing and dont fret and complain. we cannot buy back time. make the best of it as you can. chuck away regrets and start new dreams and fly.

yes i agree with you. during that time there was only a single tension how to clear the exam and rest of the time just the problems which i think and have a smile on my face today. that time is really memorable as we used to even fight with our colleagues for some small things and in the evening we come together to play with each other. that was really a awesome time which i cant get back i know.

I really don't miss them all that much. Maybe because I just had a real rough time. Sure I didn't have to worry about bills, but I knew how to care for dying parents. That wasn't exactly something I wanted to know how to do. I had to grow up way to fast I think. I enjoy being an adult more. saddly....

i miss the carefree days.. not like now that i await every salary to pay the bills that we have. and i'm not married yet!!! but i would love to have a family of my own in the future. i miss being in a cheering squad. wearing those skimpy skirts and cheering for your class. i miss dancing as well... since now that i'm working and very busy i can't squeeze anytime anymore to work out or even have a dance class. yes. definitely the figure. but i'm loosing weight now and i'm planning to go back to my 23 waist line before my birthday next year. i want to feel good before i turn the age not included in the calendar anymore.

Yep younger days are real fun and sweet memories. I use to see the world at a great wonder. When i see my biscuits, i have lots of questions how it can be so sweet, when i touch the rock, i wonder how it can be so hard. Lots of curiousity at the age and every little thing was a wonder to me. I was so short that all things are bigger and i always have a broad and exciting eyes( i saw in my photos). Now i know all that and not a great wonder of all things. Those were great days!

I do in fact sometimes miss the days when I was younger... things seemed easier then. I didn't have any responsibilities... no bills.. just living a carefree life. But then... lol it seemed so hard like I had it the worst and I couldn't wait to become grown. Now I wish I could go back sometimes. I try not to regret anything that I've done out of life because I can never change it anyway... I just repent to God and ask for forgiveness and go on. I do wish that I knew then what I know now....

I didn't enjoy school that much but I do think back to the days when my only concern was having fun. When I was a kid, I couldn't wait to get older, old enough to drive, old enough to get a job and earn my own money, old enough to move out on my own. HA! Little did I know! I didn't know that I had the most freedom back then. I didn't realize how much I would be locked into the daily grind making a living and paying the bills. Oh, for those days of my youth... [;-)

Younger days or childhood represent for everybody the innocence and it is a lost period which never can come back. When the younger days were a happy period without worries and the need to work or to strive with the adult life,of course we long for younger days. I don't know your age, but as for me, as I grow older and older, I miss more and more the lost happy younger days, especially those years when I had the happiest childhood. I miss my force and my freedom to play in the middle of nature because my happiest younger days were in the country site at my grandparents.

Sure, I do miss my younger days when I was in my high school and my college. When I was a high school student I just do one thing all day, study. If I can reback to my high school time, I wanner to be a bad guy and play more. Now I 've been worked almost for a year long, I really yearn to be back to the college time to be happy or sad with my friends together. we lost and we know we should cherish.
