i have noticed that more people are now acquiring laptops and they're not using mouse anymore. even if im using that i'd still prefer using the mouse since i find it uncomfortable of not having one. how about you?

I prefer using a mouse. More specifically a wireless one. It's easier to navigate through the computer using the mouse. But still this highly depends on what you do on your computer. Sometimes the touch-pad is better.

Well, if its a desktop computer, I would really like to have a mouse. Even if I know most of the short-cut commands on the keyboard or I just have to press the 'Tab' key again and again just to be able to select the things that I want to access, I would still prefer to have that mouse which makes things more convenient. If its a laptop, I can be okay with just the touch pad that most laptops have. The mouse would still make things easy though.

I too prefer a mouse than a laptop touch pad, i am a gamer so a mouse is a must for me. Laptop touch pads are fine for surfing the net or some casual work but more enhanced applications which rely on higher grade of a mouse, laptop touch pads wont just give its full potential. I don`t find them so uncomfortable as i like them when surfing the net or some casual work as its nice and sleek.

I like the idea of just being able to use your finger to navigate the computer. To me it's much more relaxing and you don't have to worry about keeping up with a mouse or trying to figure out what do use for a mouse pad if you don't have one handy. I think it just makes the laptop look better overall.

I much prefer my wireless mouse when using my laptop. IMO is it quicker and more accurate than the laptop pad.

I have a wireless mouse that plugs into a USB port. I use it on my desktop, and I also use it on my laptop from time to time. I am comfortable using the built-in mouse on the laptop, but some things are still easier with a regular mouse.

hi flagella Just like you I still do prefer using a mouse than the touch pad on a laptop. I find it more comfortable and easy to use. Maybe because I got used to it

I am using laptop and mouse. I found its better and faster than using laptop touch pad, its not hurting your hand either. If play game or editing picture I think we all agree we really need mouse, no one will stand using that touch pad.

Yes, I consider a mouse to be essential. I have used my laptop without a mouse at times and it is not difficult, but it seems natural to navigate with a mouse so I much prefer it. I suppose that mice are gradually becoming less common, especially with the advent of touch screen. I hate having to go and buy a new mouse because it is so difficult nowadays to find a reasonable sized mouse. Many of the fancy mice available now with multiple pointless buttons and features would better qualify as Guinea Pigs due to the cumbersome size.

I've used a laptop at work quite a few times, and I just feel lost without the mouse. The boss even plugged in a mouse for me to use after seeing me struggle. LOL

I bought a computer in 1999 and used a mouse with it until 2007 when I got my laptop. I got a net book in 2009 as well. I still use my laptop a lot of the time. The tract pad on my laptop works superbly. I am much happier with a laptop than a computer. A laptop is light and mobile. A computer is large and heavy plus stays in one place. I will never buy a computer but I will happily buy another laptop in the future.

A lot of what I do and how I work, I don't really need a mouse. The rare times I do, my touch pad does just fine. I've got more control of the touch pad, and I adapted preaty well. Plus the buttons are more defined on a touch pad, then they are on most mice. At least for me.

I still use my mouse on my laptop. I am still not comfortable with the little area where you can use your finger to navigate. Plus I use two screens so there is so much more area to navigate with when I use a mouse compared to my finger.

I own a laptop, but i still prefer to use a mouse on it cuz for me using a mouse is much more comfortable than having to use the inboard mouse that most laptops have. the only disadvantage of using a mouse is that it's just too bulky for you to be carrying anywhere especially for fast paced people a mouse is just an added burden to them. But as for myself wherever I go with my laptop i still bring my mouse with me. I just don't like using the onboard mouse that most laptops have i cant manipulate it easily especially in dragging objects.
