And it came true!

Well, sorta.... See, I had my computer that needed to reboot and it told me it had 68 updates to load. Well, OKAY, do it then. and AFTER it was finished I couldn't get it to turn back on. ARGGGGGGG!!! So, if you guys missed me yesterday, its because I wasn't ON yesterday! That's okay, I wet swiffered the back of the kitchen where we tracked in mud on Saturday and got that better looking. It was also Monday, so my guy friend "J" was coming. Yesterday we had a couple of plugs to be replaced in the kitchen - THANK YOU cat! Then we watched Doctor Who, an episode of K-9 and ate dinner. And by the time he left, I was so ready for bed - well, it was 10 p.m. I then tossed and turned, if the roomies talking didn't bother me, it was the thunderstorm. At some point I dreamed - finally getting to the dream - that I was pushing the button wrong. When I got up, I came in and pushed the button the way I dreamed it and it WORKED!!! So! I'm back!!! (see a HAPPY em here) I guess I can claim this is dream #3 coming true - huh?

I've never dreamed anything like that, and most of my dreams I'm just as glad don't come true, so we'll hope it sticks with little ones!

I have had dreams about something on the computer too and then it works the way I dreamt. I think it is in your subconcious, you know all along how to make it work, but for some reason when your awake you forget. I have also had dreams and then by the time I get on the computer I forget all about it. Glad you got everything working well, and you are back. Sometimes when I get on here I don't get anything else done, so maybe it would be a good thing for it not to work for awhile.

Yeah, I'm glad to be back too - even my geek says that the button is "counter intuitive" so I don't feel quite so stupid now! And I really don't get much done when I could be here goofing around on the computer!

yeah, we got a "medium duty" one, but it hasn't gotten hot, we passed on the light duty one for just that reason

I especially enjoyed his getting those plugs fixed! There's still issued with one, but the extension cord allows us to have an AC in the kitchen

That's a LOT of updates!! I've seen 3 or 4 but never that many before. Good for you for listening to your dream, I often have dreams like that come true. If we just listen to our subconscious we would avoid a lot of mistakes.

I saw myself pushing the button (mind you, I tried to push it that way the first night!) but this time (in my dream) it worked, and it did in reality this time!

Wow! I wish I could do that, & get my sound on the internet back! I wonder if MyLot would allow me to post a question to our resident geeks, & ask how to make he sound work there, too? Any idea? I mean, how on earth is it possible for me to have no sound online, & perfect sound on games, offline?? As long as you keep doing what you are doing you will keep getting what you are getting. Sometimes we get stuck in whatever we are doing and need to just chill. Then our minds can fix it. I am glad you got to solve this situation in your sleep. it is funny, but also cool.

Thanks. I was glad it was an easy fix, my geek says this computer's button is counter intuitive, so I guess my brain told me how I did it before.

Hooray for dream #3 coming true! You missed all the excitement. Well not really, but we did have an annoying period in the afternoon when myLot was down. So at least you didn't have to get all frustrated at that!

Either way. Your SUB-CONSCIOUS mind knew the of answer. (As it always does anyway.) It was your conscious THINKING that was getting in the way, and slowing you down. Once you "set aside" your conscious mind, or "altered" your state of consciousness...relaxing and/or falling asleep, allowed you to "see" the answer. cdrxo

You mean there are a right way and a wrong way to push a button? That is weird isn’t it? At least your dream did come through and you’re here! I had a dream that my daughter and I were walking along a beach and we both looked up as we heard a noise and we saw a plane explode in mid air! I had this dream quite a while ago and have spoken about it here before. At the time I was so afraid that it was some kind of psychic prediction or something…Fortunately nothing like that has happened like that in real life where we are, I hope it wasn’t a prediction of some other disaster!

and I had tried to push it the way I later dreamed it, but it didn't push, so that hadn't seemed to work!

It's funny the way things will work in real life the way you dreamed them, isn't it, lol? I don't remember if I've ever had that to happen to me or not but it sounds like your dream was trying to tell you something, lol. I'm sorry but I didn't miss you because I responded to some of the discussions you started on Sunday. I take Sundays off from mylot because I do need a day of rest. I stay pretty busy on Sundays because I go to worship twice a day on those days. Anyway, we all understand that you were tired yesterday after all you had to do.

Based on my personal experience, I have come to believe that our brain keeps working and working better when we sleep. When I was still in college, several times whenever I encounter I problem that could not solve for hours I would leave my computer on and go to bed, and it would seem that the answer/s to my programming problem would come flowing in what I perceive as a dream. By the time I wake up, I could solve the problem easily. I think similar has happened to you. Your subconscious mind have shown you how to solve your problem through a dream. :)

well, we didn't HAVE computers when I was in college, but I have discovered if I'm puzzling over a sewing problem, sleeping on it does help

I do believe, it has something to do with our subconscious mind working a lot better when we are sleeping since some parts of our body and/or brain are ... well ... sleeping (there's no other word for it heheh)
