Well, there is only one more work day left before we reach the holiday weekend that marks the end of summer. Do you have any special plans for this holiday weekend? For us, we really don't have anything special that we are going to be doing. We will be taking my son pony riding on Saturday with a playgroup and on Sunday we are planning on going to play putt-putt but we won't be traveling and we won't be spending a lot of money on the holiday weekend. How about everyone else, do you care to share what you and your family are going to be doing over Labor Day weekend?

Hi, I am going to have a short holiday break nextweek for Hari Raya Puasa(that is Malay New Year). I am going to have about 3 days break and my husband plan for short trip to Kuching to visit my friend. Actually, I am bit lazy to go as we have to drive there for about 6 hours. Bit tiring, but then we have been postponed this trip since last year and if my son is fine with it,then we might go for it. It is fun to bring your son for pony riding. My son never try it before. Have fun.

You see, for me, I think that childhood is all about the different experiences that an individual has the opportunities to try. My daughter has been able to ride before but Paul has never had that chance, so I'm excited to give him the opportunity as well.

Spending Sunday with my dad, he's in town. Other than that, nothing particularly special, usual stuff, just more days to do it in!

That sounds like a good plan. I don't really think that there are many things that are better than being able to spend time with your parents.

hi dorannmwin I guess I am out of sorts today but here in this tiresome retirement center its about as exciting as tapioca pudding or sugar free apple sauce, bland, soul numbing, so labor day I doubt will mean much I am hoping however to have my son spend some time with me Sunday so that will be a bright spot, and mylotting keeps me from going bananas.

Well, Hatley, mylot away this weekend while you are at the center because I know that you won't be the only one that is here during the weekend. I will be on here as much as I typically am during the course of a weekend.

Hi, dorannmwin. My plans are to stay at home all this weekend. I was not feeling so well a couple of days ago. I am okay now though. I will just cook and enjoy my time with my family, as usual. My two kids will be going back to school tomorrow, so I won't be doing too much of anything today. I hope that you will enjoy your Labor Day holiday today.

I'm so sorry to hear that you weren't feeling well a few days ago. Because of that, I really think that you are right to make the time to just relax. I also hope that your children have an easy time getting back into school.

It's already saturday night. We went to the movies last night and saw Salt. Angelina Jolie is an interesting Russion spy. Tomorrow, we don't have anything much going on. I think I'll bring the kids to the barber to get their haircuts in time for school. Other than that, I don't think we have anything much this labor day wekend.

I saw Salt during a sneak preview, and I will admit that it was a really good movie. I enjoyed it and I enjoyed the company that I had when I went to the movie as well.

There's nothing too much planned for us. Tomorrow I am hoping to go shopping because I have a few things to pick up (including a birthday gift for my niece). Then on Sunday is my niece's birthday party. I am not sure if there is anything else planned. I hope everyone has a nice Labor Day weekend! :)

We've had a nice and pretty relaxing weekend here. Last night we ended up having a cookout at my mother's house with my siblings and my best friend and her family. It was really nice for us all to get together.

We have NO IDEA!!! My hubby has been working very hard for the past few weeks (tons and tons of OT plus working on Saturdays) . . . so for this weekend he said he's not working - he is burnt out. I think it'll be up to me to figure out what to do for the weekend . . . so I have one more day to plan! And thus far I have planned ZERO!! We probably won't go too far - and we probably won't spend a lot of money period. But I hope we can do something "special" as a family . . . we have two more weekends before my daughter starts kindergarten!!

Wow, she starts school very late compared to us. Today was my daughter's 17th day of school this year. They still have 160 more days of school to go. No, I'm not already counting down, I had to go on the school website today to apply her for the accelerated cluster for next year so I just happened to see that information.

The last blast of the summer is here with labor Day oupon us. i will spend part of my day shopping for the family barbecue we will have on Monday. This is a fun time to get the gamily together as the summer coms to an end. Our small town usued to have an annual parade but they haven't for the past few years, but there may be fireworks to see over the weekend,. if not, we will just celebrate Labor Day with our own family get together,

As far as our city goes, they don't do fireworks for the Labor Day weekend, but this is the closing weekend of our minor league baseball season and they will be shooting off some fireworks this weekend there.

Hi friend dorannmwin, how are you? Usually we don't have plans to spend in the weekends, we will decide on the day itself if we want to go some place or restaurant or park with the family or friends. On Sundays mostly i will go to church in the early morning hours and i like to spend my time with my family members, sometimes we will have guests or friends or else i will be chatting with my friends. But Sunday evening we will go to anywhere to spend for 1 hour outside. Have a happy weekend. God bless you.

There is a part of me that is very spontaneous, but there is also a part of me that likes to have everything planned into a nice box. That said, I think that it is important to have a good mixture of both in your life.

That is something that we've spent many a weekend doing at our house and it seems that no matter how much we get done, there is still so much that still needs to be done.

We may try to go into the pool at some point this weekend as well, but that is really going to depend on what the weather does for us.

Nothing special. We are going to have a small cook out with my family on Saturday. Probably go to the movies on Sunday and watch the movie "Machete". So it's nothing special for this holiday weekend.

Well, I really do think that a cookout with the family is something that is special. I remember when my grandparents were alive, we always had a family cookout on Memorial Day and those memories really do stick with me even to this day, though they've both been gone for a while.

Happy anniversary to you and to your husband. I do imagine getting used to his new job is going to take a lot of adjustment for both him and for the rest of the family. Enjoy your time together this weekend.

More than anything, I have to admite that I really am looking forward to taking my son riding for the first time. It's never been something that I've been particularly interested in, but I think that he will really get a kick out of it.

i dont think we have anything planned other then son and i are really going to enjoy peace and quiet!! since his gf, her 7yr old, and her dog left its been pure calm heaven around here and even my son said although he misses her some, hes so glad to have peace around here. i imagine most people will not have money to do much. which should be getting families back to enjoying each others company doing little outings together

I honestly do wish that we would be able to do something nice over the weekend, but I don't want to put us in a financial situation. I imagine that it has been quite nice at home for you since the "houseguests" have gone home.
