Certain times of day.

Are there certain times of the day where you feel more anxious and stressed out then others? I always seem to feel a lot of anxiety at night, dinner time to bed time. My worries seem to envelope me more at night than during the day. I use to think maybe it was because I am a morning person but now I am not so sure. A friend on another discussion told me to try Chamomille tea for anxiety, I am going to get some tomorrow and see if that helps.

I am not certain. My anxieties are more related to what is going on, planned to go on, or what is going on in my head, rather than a certain time of day or night. I have heard that chamomile tea is good for this. djbtol

I hope you can find some solutions to resolve the financial issue. If a complete solution is not going to happen right now, then I hope you will find the strength to do what you should, and accept the things you cannot control. Somehow it will work out. Also sounds like you need a good dose of sunshine - daily!

Thank you so much I am trying to do some things that eventually will turn this around, I just hope I can make it through, but what other choice is there so I will muddle through for sure. Sunshine is definitely something I crave, especially going into the colder months, I do not enjoy winter and it's darkness.

My stress right now is always surrounded about the same ongoing financial issue, and I due tend to dwell on it at night. When the sun is shining I feel so much better about things, but something about darkness brings my fears to the forefront.

Celestial Seasonings Chamomile Tea - I love this tea with Honey. It's GREAT for women who have cramps every month & help you rest at night!!!
I think you will be pleasantly surprised!!! When I was told about it, I was extremely skeptical, but will now tell anyone that will listen to try it!!! Chamomile actually grows wild in some areas & can be picked & steeped just like tea in a teaball. Celestial Seasonings used to make a Sleepy Time Herbal Tea which was made from Chamomile, but I haven't seen it on store shelves in quite a while. Oops, I just went to Celestial Seasonings website & they no longer call it Sleepy Time, but the simple name of Chamomile & they changed the box...

Thank you LadyMarissa, if only I would have remembered to buy it when I went to the store today, but of course forgot it, since I never put it on my list. I am going to run out and get some in the morning tomorrow. I really need something to soothe me and if this helps I will be very pleased for sure.

Hi. aurorastorm. I experience my tense moments during the afternoon. This is especially when my kids would get home from school. I would be up to my nerves with my kids. They are like wild animals when they get home from school. I have more on my hands to deal with then. It is really stressful then for me. I experience a high level of anxiety when my kids all get together during the afternoon after they get out of school. It really is is a great relief when my husband is home with our kids. I get feelings of anxiety because I am trying to keep all of them calm and quiet. It is so hard to do so at times.

I think a lot of that is for me. As it gets closer for my son to come home, I feel myself definitely getting more stressed and I only have one so I can only imagine how hard it is for you.

Yeah I can relate to this as well. Seems like things pile up on me during that time as well. I've always chalked it up to the fact that I stay so busy during the day that I have no time to be concerned with those things while at night I'm not doing much which gives my mind time to wander and think of those things that make me uneasy.

I know that is how I am busy during the day so my mind does not get a chance to worry as much. I really need to just stop all this worrying it does not change anything except make me feel worse.

I've had the same advice before. I couldn't remember if it was chamomille, but a friend of mine adviced some tea to address my anxiety. I've never did it, but since you've had the same advice, then mayber there is something to it. I should get some tea, and maybe try chamomille.

I feel more stressed out during the day when my 3 children need to be assisted in preparing for school. There are also times when stress never ceases until it's time to go to bed. But when my body lays flat on bed, I feel relaxed and I easily fell asleep. I have a box of Chamomile tea from my sis-in-law, I'll try to drink one tonight. She told me that this is also good for upset stomach.

Having kids does make the day stressful that is for sure. When I go to bed I am exhausted enough that sleep is not that hard for me either. So I really need to get the tea, because my stomach is often upset as well.

I guess tea cannot relieve you from anxiety and worries. Your mind can remove it. Just say in your mind about which you are doing worry or you have anxiety is nothing important and it is only a thinking not an anxiety or not a matter of worry. And do not get involved in much thinking on those subject. You will feel light and anxiety and bad thinking will over.

This happens to me every day at work. I work in a restaurant. My job is really annoying, and I have a lot of idiots to deal with every day. I am usually OK after I get home in the evenings, but sometimes other areas of my life are stressful as well, especially since my wife takes care of her elderly father who thinks she is supposed to spend every waking moment with him when she is not at work. So, my job and my wife's family are the two main sources of stress in my life. Of course, there is the ever-present financial problems that most people like me have to deal with every day, and those don't help matters at all either. Needless to say, my wife is usually pretty annoying in one area or another.

Goldeneagle first let me say thank you for giving me a good laugh about the wife annoying party, my husband can really be that way to. Everyday on here I wind up hearing from someone that makes me say I need to be more thankful for what I do have. My work is not stressful at all, can be redundant but not stressful for the most part. My stress is the same the financial crisis a lot of us are facing. I wonder if that was not an issue if my health would also not be an issue.

Yeah that's my most stressful time too.. but I don't worry or get anxious.. just stressed. For me it's because there's so much going on, and because I'm already drained from the day. Especially now that the kids are in school.. between dinner and bedtime they get hyper, wound up, restless. The youngest is usually over tired which seems to make him even more hyper, but also uncontrolable. I try not to put them to bed too early, even though I want to.. because the earlier they go to bed, the earlier they wake up, and mornings can be somewhat stressful as well. I am not a morning person, so when I'm woken up to them fighting, whining, and making noise, I tend to immediately get cranky and that leads to the whole day being bad and miserable.

I think that might be part of it. I get off of work at 4 and then my son is home from school, homework has to be done. Then trying to make dinner. Then hubby comes home and the house becomes chaotic and then it becomes stressful. That really might coincide with my anxiety. I only have one kid and one dog and my husband, I can't handle anymore and don't know how other people do it.

I think for you dear friend it is because you are a bit more busy during the day so your mind is more pre-occupied and not time to really think about all the issues at hand. After dinner and before bed I have to say you have a bit more quiet time, so subconsciously you are more apt to really think about all that is going on. The chamomile is really great for anxiety but do not take too much for too many days as it will cause you to want to urinate way more often then you care to go, at least it does me. The tea for bit is certainly great but I would suggest to find some sort of hobby and or something to do that will perhaps keep your mind off things a bit.

Thank you for the warning about the tea I definitely don't want to have to get up to many times in the night to use the bathroom, because then I will have trouble falling back to sleep. You are very perceptive as usual, I think that really is it. I enjoy T.V. but it is not enough to keep my mind off my troubles. I do like to scrapbook and have a lot to catch on, so maybe that time of night would be good to start doing that again.

Definitely at night. I find it difficult to get to sleep. When I am, the slightest thing will wake me, and it takes ages to go back to sleep.

I think I am the most anxious just before I go to bed. At that time my mind begins to replay the events of the day just before I go to sleep. I don't know why my mind becomes preoccupied just before I go to sleep. Sometimes my mind becomes so preoccupied that my sleep becomes delayed and I end up falling asleep later than usual.

You would think I would have that problem, but once my son falls asleep I am much more calm and don't have a problem falling asleep. Now staying asleep has become a problem some nights but at least I can fall asleep initially. That must be very hard on you, I get so stressed even more when I am tired.
