I was flipping through the radio and found the station that is all Christmas after Thanksgiving playing Christmas music already! Do you listen to these stations during the holidays? DO you think it is too early for this music? I do? I would like to get through one holiday at a time.

I was hearing some Christmas music in the stores before Halloween which I feel is way way too early. I really am not a big fan of Christmas music and especially way before the holiday. When it gets closer, I might put some on for a while if I'm wrapping gifts, decorating the tree or something. Christmas Eve when we all get together we do usually put some Christmas music on. It's nice then but a steady diet of it leading up to Christmas.

I have not heard any Christmas music on the radio before Thanksgiving. The radios switching to holiday standards like Barry Manilow's "Because It's Christmas" (arguably my favorite Christmas song) before Turkey Day is evidence that Christmas creep is in full swing. But don't just blame them, the speakers from the retail store's speakers, and what not. Well, back in my senior year in high school, I was in the chorus as alto. I joined it so late in high school just to help the music department and advocate music education. The fall concert was when the Christmas creep struck my school. After we performed, the band (our high school's and some middle school band students) played Josh Groban's "Believe" and "Carol of the Bells," arranged respectively by Mike Story and John Kinyon. Why are those two songs evidence that Christmas came too early in my school, being the fact that the concert took place about a week before Halloween? Well, the former mentioned piece was from a Christmas film named The Polar Express. That was a very peculiar concert thanks to too early Christmas selections. As article marketer, I became less bothered by a too-early Christmas, even in music. I think that such music gets some people in the buying mood, but gets some other jaded at the ears. Though it's too early for seasonal favorites, I'm pretty much used to that. And keep in mind that my parents' birth of origin, the Philippines, does that, as they rarely celebrate Halloween and Thanksgiving. People there whip out the holly and parols (star lanterns) and blast Christmas tunes come September anyway.

Wow we have a radio station here that becomes Holly 103.4 or whatever it is November 1st each year. I do like the music but I am one of those people that becomes sick of it by Christmas if I start now.

I love Christmas music. It always bums me out that it is usually only played for a month. And since there is technically no kind of Thanksgiving music, I don't mind it. Around here though we don't play Christmas music on our radio stations until after Thanksgiving. One station here kicks off the season with playing Christmas music all day on Thanksgiving.

That's a good song but I cannot listen to any music at anytime for too long. I have worn the paint off the buttons on my radio I change the station so often.

I think they should make it a law nothing out till after thanksgiving. They wear u out w/christmas before it even gets close to the time for it. It's really irritating to me thsat it is so commercialrized now. The idea is lost to what Christmas is all about.

Yes it is ridiculous. ABC Family has a Christmas count down to their 25 days of Christmas count down!

I live in an area with dodgy reception for FM/AM radio so I depend on Internet radio, (or satellite radio via PC so I don't need to put out the $$), so I've not come across Christmas tunes yet. Decorations in stores have been trying to attack my eyeballs sense before Halloween. For Pumpkin's sake, there are few things more offensive than Santa "Ho Ho HO'ing!" when your counting pennies to buy blood pressure medication.

No, this type of music is fine. This time is called 'the holidays' and that is what the music is mostly. I think it is all the same. They have several kid specials on that are for christmas. It is all the same to me and they really have to start early to get it all in. It seems that anymore the day after Halloween they start with Christmas.

Oh boy.. I think YES, it's a tad bit early for that kind of thing! Don't you? It's not even after Thanksgiving, when the craze really gets going... I like Christmas music, but not in excess. I get sick of it by the time Christmas actually rolls around. LOL.

It is definately too early for Christmas music. These days they push everything out so early before the season it ruins it. By the time Christmas gets here, everyone is sick of seeing and hearing Christmas things! I agree with you - one holiday at a time!
