What type of hat looks best on a woman at the beach?

I think one of those big straw hats look good. They are light weight, have wide brims to block the sun fro your eyes, and if you are sweaty...they do not get wet! And they are easier to accessorize with....lol

I think that on a tropical beach it is best for a lady to wear a cotton on that is wide brimmed. It would keep the sun light off her face and stop her head getting sunburned. I would most likely be beige and have a string around the neck so on a windy day the hat doesn't fly off. One of my friends had a hat on and it fell in a lake. I made my choice through of experience of traveling to tropical beaches. In Northern Australia they have hats with corks round them or a net. That is because of the insects. I have traveled to St Lucia, Hawaii, Fiji, islands of the Great Barrier Reef, the Cook Islands, French Polynesia, Samoa, the Maldives and the Seychelles. I like a hat to fold and put in my backpack for storage.

I think different hats looks differently on different women. SOme are more suited to cowboy while some fedora. I guess cowboy hat does not really suit the majority of people because it needs certain face shape to blend in well with that hat. If not, it will elongate the women's face.. haha =D While fedora hat should be more popular because alot of people are wearing it there. hehe

There are so many different kinds. I think the bigger floppy ones are cute. Or the more nautical one with the bill to keep the sun out of your eyes. Cowboy hat? Too retro. Fedora. What a statement to make at the beach! A trucker hat is so male for a woman in a suit. Ya, I'd go with the floppy one for sure.

it looks beautiful for me when i'm seeing girls wearing cowboy hat with a beautiful bikini. It look so elegant to my eyes and i think it also help to add more good looks in the girl that wearing it. I want to wear that kind of attire when i have swimming but i can't wear it because i'm too fat..

I may not be convinced that the type of hat worn is important for how good a woman looks. So maybe you should just wear whatever is practical and best serves your purpose.

Hi gitfiddleplayer, the main purpose for me to put on a hat at the beach is to prevent my face complexion from getting the disgusting sunburn. Therefore I alway put on straw hat. Here in the tropical region where live, the weather is severe hot in sunny day. Worse still it's along the beach. So the well designed straw hat with bigger side surrounded, is the best hat for me to protect the head from the scorching sun and against sunstroke as well. Other than the traditional type of straw hats, there are many local made straw hats are newfashioned and stylish. I'm not picky in choosing hat, what attracts me most is it works well to protect my me from getting suntan and to look decent as well when wearing it at the beach Happy posting

None of the above.....I think a big straw hat with a bunch of cool flowers or something looks best on a woman....for a man well I would say if they are bald anything.

I choose a cowboy hat because that would seem to give her more protection from the sun and I think sensible women look better than silly ones.

How about a good ole' baseball cap. They come in lots of colors. And with a ponytail? Well I think it's pretty classic.

gitfiddleplayer Hi here in the U S I have yet to see any women wearing a hat unless its a baseball type hat. I had never even thought of wearing a hat to the beach. i know I never have in my life. No fedoras that is silly or cowboy, no the only onew I have seen own a newpo9rt beach are just baseball caps. we use sunscreen and he whole idea of going to the beach is to wear casual play clothes no hats a all. that might do for church but not on the beach

I live in Florida and when I go to the beach I wear my cowboy hat...Toby Keith style. It's lightweight and keeps the sun out of my eyes. Personally, though, I like those big, floppy hats but they don't go with pickup trucks and motorcycles.

I think that it really depends on the woman and the hat. We're not all the same. We have different body types, and such, which is why I think that different hats will suit us. It just depends.

If you are going for a walk or jog wear baseball cap. If you are wearing a bating suit wear one of those big round brim hats!!

I think the Fedora would be the best just because it looks cool. And in my opinion trucker hats just make you look trashy and cowboy hats have nothing to do with Hawaii at all.
