Just stamp 'DUMB' on my Forehead. You will never believe what I Did

I was in a shop when a Rastafarian asked the cashier to change a large bank note. He kept asking her in the 'name of Jesus' to help him out.So I joked with him and said that he should haver asked in the name of Jah not Jesus because of his faith. He laughed and then he asked me to buy one of his muffins and I agreed. And this is where I went wrong. He then offered me a muffin that had Ganja (marijuana)in it. I had never heard of this before. I said no and asked him how he could think of asking a law abiding, Church going, sixty something lady like me a question like that- who had never used illegal substances in her whole life. So please give me a regular one and I returned to office and ate my muffin. And this is where I went wrong again. One gigging hour after eating - the accountant came and this is usually stressful as he asks hard questions and shows me my accounting errors. What a difference a muffin can make! Accountant: Mrs. S---- you have overspent on cleaning supplies Me - with giggles: Whatever! Giggle. What are they going to do - shoot me with an M16 because I overspent on bleach? More giggles. I then felt weird - like receiving the drug they give you before an operation. After more inane chatter I realised that the muffin he had given me was the wrong one -or the right one depending on how you look at it. So not much work was accomplished as I found everything hilariously funny Then the accountant left and I did not feel that I should drive. So I walked to a shop and had my nails done and was just contemplating on whether to have a pedi when I realised that I was over an hour late for my second job. Whilst there I confessed all to our guests and they laughed so hard - several in tears. Then I eventually went home after they had promised never to tell my children. So tell me - have you ever consumed an unusual muffin or anything else?

lol, you had a very different day that's for sure. I have not heard of put that into anything except brownies. I may have had one many many years ago, but I'm not sure. I do not remember and I would not have eaten it if I had known it was an ingredient in the brownies either.

He told me that he had the regular muffins so either did not have anything but the 'seasoned ones' or he decided to give me a spiked one. I would never have eaten one knowing that it had been doctored. I have always been totally against using illega substances - and still am.

I would have not gone to the police because I do not trust them. The man may be paying a few policemen to turn a blind eye. I will just forgive him if he did it on purpose and continue to stumble through my life. But will never buy anything consumable from a street vendor again. Many thanks dear and many blessings

Hi Cynthiann, Yes I can relate to this. When I worked for the insurance company, I went out to lunch with a friend. We got sandwiches and drove to a remote spot to eat our lunch. While we were deeply engrossed in conversation, she lit up a joint and passed it to me. I did not even give it a thought and took a hit and then another. I got back to work and as soon as I walked into that office...it hit me. pretty much the same experience as you. I could not stop laughing. I was dealing with car accidents and I was finding great humor in things that no one found any humor in. Fun times!

Oh girl. You could write a book with your antics. Better yet, get a reality show to follow you around. I would watch that every time it would be on! I've never had anything laced with weed, but I know to stay away from any brownies college kids bring home. Too many stories about those.

Oh my! That is so funny! Do you think he gave you the wrong muffin on purpose? I was envisioning the scene as I was reading and it’s hilarious! I’ve never had a ‘special’ muffin or cookie before but I did try smoking pot for the first time when I was around twenty seven which was quite a few years ago to say the least. I tried it on purpose to see what all the fuss was about and yes I too giggled at anything and everything and the experience was fun for about fifteen minutes then it became too much and I couldn’t wait for the effects to wear off so I could feel ‘normal’ again! It was my first and last time… As for you cynthiann did you get the munchies afterward? (LOL)!!

It was probable that all the muffins were doctored. My son had cooked and after eating I went to bed. No more muffins for me

Oh dear, that made me chuckle. I've never really been offered anything like that, but I think I'd put two and two together and know that if he had one with MJ in, then they're probably all going to have it in. I think though that in future, you should be far more careful about what you buy. That one only had MJ in, but there could have been anything else in.

OMFG Cynthi.. as soon as you said he offered you a muffin I just knew it.. and I'm sitting here saying out loud "No she didn't.. tell me she didn't". Then I literally started laughing out loud and my husband is sitting next to me thinking I'm reading a joke and asks me to forward it to him. Boy.. you sure did, didn't you? Poor woman! You are always good for a laugh though, lol. I have never unkowingly consumed a funny muffin.. or here we call them "special brownies".

Oh cynthiann! Only YOU!If anyone else would have told this story I would have sworn they were making it up, but not you! I'll bet now you want the "recipe" now don't ya? The effect is even stronger when ingested!I'll bet that muffin was better than the "jello shots" that you almost served to the children! (Yes, I remember most of your stories, and you should definitely write a book)! I don't think that there is any of my friends whose stories come anywhere near yours! I'm just glad that nothing terrible happened to you and you only got the "giggles"! I love you Cyn, never change one thing about you!

Lord! You remember the jello shot episode that nearly got me into trouble? It is funny but I am beginning to think that all the muffins were 'doctored.' Things just happen to me and I do not ordain them. You can bet that if there is one mental case on a train plane or bus then he will sit next to me. I attract all the oddballs. What a way to stumble through life? Sometimes it makes me nervous I stopped at a stop light recently as it was on red (see how careful I am?) Regretfully I had not locked the car doors so what happens? As the light changes to green a man of unsound mind opened the door and sat in the passenger seat beside me.To cut a long story short he said that he was going to meet his friend so I drove for 5 or 5 minutes and so a man walking on the other side of the road. So I told him to jump out quickly as his friend was waiting for him over the other side of the road. Now this is funny but did I learn from it? No. It has now happened 3 times. I dare not tell the children. They do not regard these things as funny However - I do.

OH MY GOD - This is such a classic reading. I really enjoyed it and was laughing my butt off for a good two minutes. I even told my friends and family about it and they too laughed really hard. I hope you feel much better after this ganja outbreak into your body. Its really amazing that you were able to write such a piece that evokes so much emotion. Of all the funny things I might have read here on MyLot this one stands out at the top, and I feel really happy after reading it.

I've never had one nor have I ever been mislead into consuming such a thing. That must of been one heck of a day. I hope your co-workers & bosses were understanding as it was not your intent to get messed up. Though on the tv show "that 70's show" they made "special brownies" and they were tainted like your muffin & I've heard of people tainting food with x-lax. I dunno which would be the lesser of both evils?

Well, I work alone in my office and the accountant only comes by once or twice a month. My boss lives in town but owns a condo here so he comes and goes and fortunately he was not ion property when it happened. It was not pleasant apart from the giggling as I did not g=feel that I was in control of myself and I did not like that. I will just be extra careful not to eat from street vendors.

No I haven't consumed any unusual muffins in my day. Although I've been around them back in university, I was too much of goody-two-shoes to ever try them. But nowadays, I don't think I would mind having one or two. Specially on a lazy sunday, watching some sports. I bet I'll find some of the football antics really funny.

It may have sounded funny, but boy I would've been super-pissed, I mean what if it were something poisonous? Very scary of what people can do nowadays. I'm disabled so I basically have to have eyes in the back of my head and - well, on each side of my head - I don't trust anyone, really. And no, you weren't dumb, you just been duped. I know I have, and I'm kicking myself in the rear end still, because of it (another situation that's quite a bit more serious).

You are so right as it coud have been laced with something else. It is kind of you to say that I had been duped and was not stupid but I should have been more wary as to what was happening around me. Big mistake. God luck in working out your problem
