Well friends, i want just to share that i'm little lazy after eating, so i always wash my plates with my hands in the kitchen when the next day comes and i finish my coffee. Also when i cook i make the kitchen really messy, using different plates for different stuff, during i cook and at the end i always wash so much like all military company eat at home last night What about you? When do you wash the plates? Are you from these people, who wash after making a plate dirty, or you put it in the sink to wait when you will wash all dirty plates at once?

i'M ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE, LOL WHO WASHES AS I GO ALONG. sOON AS I GO TO COOK I RUN DISHWATER & WASH THINGS AS I MESS THEM UP. My mother messed up everything in the kitchen when she cooked & i hated going in behind her to clean up. That may be one reson i'm like i am but i do hate a messy kitchen or a messy house period.

Hello Antique Lady, my mom is like you and i am as you mom is, isn't it funny I never had to clean after my mom, she was always cleaning after me. Now i clean after my boyfriend. For everything in life, there is a reason. I never helped her so much, but now i'm the one who care for the cleaning in our apartment, even if we both are at home whole day long. I can't explain myself why i feel so lazy sometimes. May be the motivation is missing, when you do your own schedule for the day and you say yourself - i can do this later, then you say - i still have time and for the other thing ... And at the end of the day it looks like nothing is done. That's really a bad moment.

Ah, i need to do the other - to learn to clean after each meal, that's how everything won't be so messy. Actually i don't like to be dirty around me. When we moved to this apartment, i cared every day for everything. But i feel tired, because i'm cleaning, cooking, washing everything, clothes also, i throw the garbage, i shop, i make budge and i always know where is everything. After that i have to start working, which usually takes around 5-6 hours a day or more. And at the end i just feel like it's not me, it's just my body around and i'm somewhere else, but not in wonderland.

No, I wash the plates, utensils and pots after I use them. I do not leave them on the sink because I don't want cockroaches and rats to feast on them. Although I am also lazy, I am also hypochondriac - I absolutely cannot go to sleep when the house is still dirty.

I see friend, for our happiness we don't have rats or cockroaches here. But we have a lot of flies and mosquitos which are awful in my opinion. They also bring illness and microbes.

I am one that while cooking I have to be washing at the same time this way when I am done eating the only thing left is the plates we are eating off of. I have to wash them right away as I get up after eating. Not doing so makes me crazy to see a sink full of dirty dishes. It has been a habit my whole life. Sometimes my boyfriend does them and he is like me too, immediately after eating.

Now, when i read your answer i realized that we have too much plates at home. We live only two people and we have so much plates and tableware that we actually don't need everything. When i cook i always wash, too, but not everything. Thanks for sharing my friend, i'll try to do it that way, as you shared. May be will feel better.

I don't think it is necessary lazy to do the dishes the next day. I do them in the morning as well. With a small family, I do not feel the need to do dishes all the time. When things get too messy, or the sink is full, I will do them. If I have company come over like once a week when my parents come for dinner, I will wash them after they leave just because there is too many with more pots and pans used as well. If I just made dinner, I don't feel as if I should have to do the dishes so sometimes, I will hint to my hubby that it sure would be nice if some elves would come along and clean the kitchen.

With or without guests, i always use something from the kitchen. Glasses, cups, plates. And i never wash them when i make them dirty. That's how my skin, even a big one, has always something in.

I wash dishes as I dirty them when cooking. I eat then get up and clean the kitchen. My grandmother always said if you have a dirty kitchen and dirty dishes then your house is dirty. I hate when people in the house leave dirty dishes in the sink I have to wash them right away.LOL

Hi friend, I totally agree with you that after having food, most of us become lazy. We dont even wash plates and just pile up to wash together. Especially after having food, it is very difficult to do any work not only washing dirty plates. Why so still not able to understand.

I can tell you why friend. I read an article, where they said that when we eat an hour after that a lot of the energy of the body is concentrated in our stomaches, i think it's the same not only with the energy, but with the blood too. Thanks for sharing.

I put some water on the dishes and leave it for about half an hour to a couple of hours before washing it to soften the dirt.

The same i'm doing here, when i put everything what needs to be washed, in the sink. This helps me a lot, because soon everything is ready to be washed.

We currently lack an inside supply of hot water and heat all our washing up water on an outside fire. It´s hard to do at night (and cold!), so we do all the dishes each morning after breakfast.

I try to do the dishes right after I eat on them, but unfortunately the people I live with love to cook and leave their greasy dishes, pans, silverware, etc all over the kitchen. So we have clashing ideologies, you see, which makes things difficult, I'll say!

I put water in the sink with a bit of detergent and srub a bit. That goes on as plates pile up and diner ends. I fill the washing machine when I feel like it, usually in commercials. When I have company, everything is done after they leave. As the dishes are in water and scrubed, the food does not stick. I have a male friend who says that after all my prewashing, it is an exageration to wash them in the dishwasher too.

Hello friend. For me, sometimes, washing is long, because with one cooking i have 10 dirty plates (as example) and a lot more tableware. I realize that if i wash the plates after using them, i'll got less, but lately nothing can motivate me to stay so long near the sink, after i eat something tasty.

Hi, I am the kind of person who like to keep everything in my house clean and tidy, So once I have finished up my meal, I will straightly clean the table and wash the plates and pot. Then I will even let them dry at the dish rack or wipe them dry directly with cloth before putting all those plates and utensils in the cabinet. I don't like to put the dirty plates in the sink..so unhealthy. unless I have something very urgent to attend, then I will wash the dirty plates once I come back home.

I'm not a big fan of that, actually. I don't know why, may be because i got some experience in shop for mobile phones and services and i could see that when something is for a multiplay using, it's a bit annoying.

Wednesday night was the last night that my sink was completely free of dirty dishes. I remember because my friend was coming over and I didnt want him to see my house a mess. I like to fill the basin on the left with warm soapy water and put the dirty dishes on the right and wash them as we use them but my hands get so dry this way since I'm constantly washing dishes that way. So lately I've tried waiting until lunch or dinner to do the dishes and they just build up and then I dont feel like doing the dishes at all knowing how long it will take.

Hello friend, i don't like when people come in my kitchen - guests, family members, friends. I just don't like it, because my kitchen is too small. And usually i keep it clean, but sometimes it's getting messy. I don't think that one kitchen is dirty, if there are 5-6 plates in the sink. That's my opinion, if everything is on it's place, if the oven is clean, it will show that you really care a lot about your kitchen. Dirty plates can be dirty, because before 10 minutes you have eat something, and then the guests come.

I hate doing the dishes but I try to wash the dishes soon as I am done with my food. I know I am very lazy and forgetful and if I don't do the dishes as soon as I am done eating then I would forget and then the dishes would pile up and I wouldn't want to wash them even more. Wouldn't it be nice if we didn't have household chores?

all plates are washed after meals. The same goes for utensil and other crockery. If we leave them be, it will attract ants and cockroaches. For kitchen cleanliness and to keep odour at bay, dishes are washed after every meal.

i did this like 2yrs ago, because im jobless and im home home alone, i was the plates in the morning, afternoon and evening. but i still enjoy doing such things. all the left over foods on the plates, you'll wash that in the sink, rubber gloves should be in handy while washing those dirty plates.

Suggar, it is very silly and accurate question. When I had started my cooking, up to some days I used to wash those just after taking food. It was really interesting. Some days later I made my habit to wash the plates before i prepare food next time. After some days I have changed the process to every day morning which include previous day's plates. And finally the habit as you. Washing many plates at a time. Interesting when all plates are used.

I wash absolutely every day, just use too much, when i cook and serve the dishes. I always put two plates for the dish - for me and my boyfriend, and one more plate for the bread, with one more plate for the pickle. At the same time, before serving as i'm cooking, depends on the dish, but i use pan for preparing some products of the dish, then move everything in another pan, where the dish will be cooked, also plates for the cut onion and different other stuff. So i always wash the next day. The reason i have many dirty plates is not that i left them dirty many days, because that would annoying and it would smell awful, sooo every day washing works for me pretty good. But i wanted to ask the question more because of my mom, because she is doing another thing - she wash, exactly after using. And it's a great habit, where in every time she got everything clear and ready for use. Thanks for sharing.

Hello Xansus, i was the same way before, i had schedule for everything. It's good that you know when are your wash hours. If you don't have them, it will be a bit confusing, as it is now for me.
