I really love wearing clothing thats like scrubs. by that i mean you know those cute tops and slacks the nurses sometimes wear? I not only like how they fit me but since my emphysema, I have to carry around my inhaler in order to feel safe at all times. I also like having tissue handy. So with all the wonderful pockets its great. also, these days they have colors and designs. like i have one with clouds and birds on and one with witches and stars, etc. for halloween one with honey bees, and lots of other unique ones. I love the pants to. they also have lots of pockets. so ive become quite the "pocket" nut these days. Do you like your clothes to have lots of pockets? Do you ever like to wear scrubs? btw, thats what i found at the goodwill the other day. 4 scrubs tops. one bottoms. the rest were jeans.

I have never worn scrubs before. I can see where they might be comfortable. I wear pajamas and sweat pants mostly. DOn't go out much so I wear whatever I want to basically. I can't remember the last time I wore a pair of jeans. They aren't comfortable on this body anymore! Hehe

When my daughter was in college she said lots of the students liked to wear scrubs because they were so comfortable. You know, they are so easy to wash and do not stain easily, either. I have a bunch I should probably get out and wear. They sure look better than the pajama pants so many people wear out and about. I do love the pockets and if and when I get around to making new clothes, I will be sure to have pockets in them. I have worked in nursing homes. Sometimes when I would find scrubs at thrift shops they would have the knit cuffs and be too short, but then I would just cut them off for capris.

I worked in hospitals and nursing homes during my working days and word the scrubs as convenience. Now I like them for some of the same reasons you do. I like the roomy pockets. I got to where I would only buy the pants with the cargo pockets as I had to carry so many 'tools' of the trade. I would save the older sets to use as pajamas. They've gotten quite expensive now so I'm no longer buying them. You lucked out finding the ones you did.

i bet you could find them in a second hand store if you are near one. i forgot if you said you was. yes, thats why i was so happy. at walmart they are usually 13 to 14 bucks or more. here i got them on sale marked down from 4.99 to 2.50. cant beat that and they are like new. my son also said they are getting quite popular.

I worked as a pantry cook in a national park for a couple of seasons and I wore scrubs -- the pants and matching surgeon's cap. We had to wear a chef's coat, no jeans, but scrubs were acceptable. So I wore all sorts of fancy ones. It was fun and comfortable. And of course, the cap was acceptable for required headgear. I still have my scrubs, although I don't use the pants anymore, but the caps make cool do-rags and I still wear them when I want to keep the hair out of my face, especially for outdoor activities.

I love pockets in my clothes but some of my stuff have none...it's so annoying. I've never seen scrubs other than on TV. I didn't know they came in various colours and designs. They are usually green here in Australia I think, plain, dull green at that.

most regular ones are green here to. but if you look in some stores now the last couple of years and even at times in the hospital or doctors offices, you see women wearing ones with designs and different colors on them. i mostly just wear the tops. not so much the bottoms. i only have 2 pairs of pants of them.

I used to be a in home aide and as such had to wear scrubs. they are very comfortable to wear and I really enjoyed wearing them. The many pockets were convenient like you have said. They could also be worn to bed they are so light and comfortable. I couldn't wear the ones with designs on them, but those are just adorable!

My foster mom and Godfather used to love wearing scrubs. They said they were really comfortable. I got a pair once and did not think they were super comfortable.. so it never caught on with me.

I love to wear big loose comfortable clothes. I love sarongs the most. I try to get sets of 2 or 3. If i lucky enough to get 3 of a kind i make a tunic out of 1. I tie 1 on one side the second on the other side. So even ona windy day my azz wont show. If i get 2 of a kind i tie one on each side and wear a top or t-shirt. I found a scrub top one day someone left at the laundry room. I took it because it lokked large and comfortable. I have many lounge pants i wear too. I love getting them in XXXL or as large as i can them. They have tie waist so thats great. I add elastic to the ankle opening. Sometimes i can find t-shirts that match them. As large as i can get them too. I tie knots to tighten the waist and arm holes. I just love the big baggy clothes. They are cooler in the summer too. Cooler than wearing skimmpy stuff.

You know, I've often thought that they look extremely comfortable to wear. I've never heard a nurse complain about wearing them. Yeah, I've thought about getting some a few times but never have... yet. And, no, I don't think you're strange. They really do look comfortable. Besides, I may just join you. LOL You've made me think that they would be awesome to do my gardening in. With all the pockets, I could carry around my small clippers, wipes to clean my hands off with, tissues (if needed and they usually are in the springtime), a small folding saw I have, etc. I think I just may take a trip to our Goodwill store today to see what they have. If they have nothing in my size, I'll go to Walmart. They have quite a selection of scrubs. I've never stopped to look at them but I have noticed the selection is quite large. Thanks for the idea!!!

Wow! That IS a lot for such a simple, cotton top! I've seen patterns for scrubs. They're so simple to make, at least if you have a sewing machine and I do. So, I think I'll just go buy a pattern because I already have a lot of material and I do mean a lot... I inherited my mother's stash and she had quite a lot of her own. Added to my stash of material, well, I've already given about half of it away to Goodwill, just to give you an idea of how much I had. Still, I have a closet in my craft room that I've put shelves in and the shelves are so full of material I couldn't fit another piece in there. A lot of it is cotton or cotton blend so that would be perfect for making scrubs! Thanks for the info about the price. $14.00 isn't a lot of money but when you think about how simple those scrubs are and the fact that they're just simple cotton, that price is way too much for one top! Now I can save a trip and just buy the pattern. I'll try Joanne Fabric's to see if they have the pattern. If not, I'll get it online.

You know...I've never considered them. Love clothes with lots of pockets, since I hate carrying a bag around, and won't buy pants without them. Didn't know they had all those pockets, so I'm going to have to check them out. I wonder if any of them have chihuahuas on them?

Before I spent eighteen months of my life working as a nursing assistant I really did think that scrubs were great because of the fact that they seemed very convenient. That said, I learned during the two winters that I worked at the hospital that scrubs are not warm at all when it is cold outside. I would freeze my tail off just going from the hospital up to my car and that was absolutely terrible for me because those were two very cold winters.

i agree with them not being warm in winter. so, what i do is mostly wear just the tops with other types of pants. i seldom wear the pants. under the tops, i wear a long sleeved shirt or t-shirt that matches whatever top im wearing and that works great. in winter. then in summer they are quite cool and comfy to.

I don't wear them anymore but do remember how comfy they were. Not warm during cold days, unless you put some thermals underneath, but pretty comfy indeed! They actually have denim one too. Which are warmer.
