Tsunami and Radiation leakage in Japan. Is it retribution of what they have done

Looking back at what have happened to Indonesia (Tsunami-26.12.2004), earthquakes at China followed by baby milk poisoning and recently Tsunami in Japan, Sendai (13.3.2011),all these natural disasters marked a time for humanbeing to remember WHO is far greater than us. When the mass destruction took place in Sendai, Japan, not only God have demonstrated his fury against the nations but also towards human being's greediness through demolishing the power plant radiation which striked a huge terror of fear to the world. What have we done out of greediness? Is this a sign of retribution to Japan for what they have done throughout the century of mankind? Do they remember the time when they conduct mass slaughtering the whales, dolphins and sea animals even after been warned by the PETA.org? What about the cruelty of Japanese occupation back in 1941-1945 in Malaya, which ended with the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki? I'm sure many Pacific wars survivors will never forget the day they were tormented with the sheer cruelty of the Japanese at that time. Nobody will ever forget the day. Even the baby born today will be tought by their history teachers one fine day. What say you??

Well this things happen in random countries. This is mother nature at work and no one knows when/where she strikes next. It has nothing to do with the past.

I have same thoughts with you, I think it is a random act of mother nature. I really cannot connect it with past history at all, unless there you believe in the Karma system but I highly doubt it.

It is certainly salutary to remember that God is greater than us and also that we are just fragile beings who live on the surface of a planet which is always changing. I think that it is ILLOGICAL and, moreover, MISGUIDED and WRONG (and therefore sinful) to think that these undoubtedly distressing times are in any way the work of a 'vengeful God' or 'retribution for sins committed'. The 'God' that I know is a Creator and a personage who loves all of His creation. He does not get angry or take revenge (these are HUMAN emotions and completely alien to the Person in whose image we are created). The 'God' portrayed in the Old Testament and, to a certain extent, in the New Testament, is a 'personification' by and a creation of Man. If you don't believe me, go and ask Him yourself ... but don't forget to clear your mind and LISTEN for the answer!

Hi owlwings, I believed God is kind and good. Just that I have heard too many people saying as what I have posted in the discussions. This is brought up from those people who said about Japan today. Hopefully, this is not going to offend anyone and I do not intend it anyway. Cheers. :) God bless you

I think it probably isn't some kind of punishment this is because natural disasters dont tend to coincide with the evils a country has performed how many natural disasters have occured in germany since the holocaust.

Hi anklesmash, Thank you for your response. Mother natures and natural disasters have gotten more frequent these days. Right when I'm typing my thoughts here, Chiang Rai in Thailand is shaken with earthquakes! Fortunately, nobody got hurt like what have happened back in Sendai, Japan. Now, I'm not trying to blame any country for their past history. Earthquakes is going to strike any country sooner or later. Just like what the Bible has mentioned in chapter Revelation. We all need to stand together and pray harder. Let's encourage Environmentalism and peace amongst us. Say NO to pollution and WAR!

what happened to japan can happen to any other country. let us not generalize the people. there are many good people living in Japan and they also help their neighboring countries. many damages caused by the Japanese government in our country in World War II but they made a way to compromise with the victims.

Hi, good friend. Good to see you around. I would not think so. Judgment will be for individuals, and each to account for what he or she has done. The natural disasters are probably the result of the de-generating earth. Linking it to retribution may offend some, so I would advise to be careful with correlating present events and the past. tsk tsk...

I say old chap, that's a bit over the top. The old nips do not deserve anything like what has jolly well happened to them. I have been over to Japan on war reunions and i can jolly well tell you those little ones are one of the most honorable people i have met. Maybe you need to have been in amongst that kind of jolly thump'em that is a war before you make such thoughtless critisism. toddle pip.

hey, I held no grudges towards the Japanese nations and the past remained as past to me. Let us ask God then.

Well, the funny thing is I had thought about it before too. Would that be what comes around goes around? No one can find it justice during the world war II period, now, it is such a good time to make it justified, and they should officially apologize to the whole world. What do you think?

kingparker, It's nice to know someone like you who has the same thought like I did. In fact, there are many people out there in the community have agreed that whatever happened in Japan was a form of KARMA. I'm sorry to those out there who think my discussion is abit over. This is just an ugly truth, and being truthful and sincere, I have just brought it up to mylotter's attention. I hope nobody got offended in the event of this discussion. Thanks, kingparker! :)
