Heaven of Your Choosing

I am very aware a lot of people don't believe in Heaven. And you don't have to believe in Heaven to answer this discussion. Obviously if you are a Christian you look forward to meeting God. But im your head, what would your heaven have? And please don't go all legalistic on me - this for fun. My heaven? It would have large fruit trays with succulent melons, strawberries, pineapple, and fruits I've never even heard of. And then I'd look over to see my little Sherlock (RIP) flying with wings. And I'd ask him where he got his wings and then go find some myself.

I am not a Christian. I am a Hindu. My/our concept of heaven is a place where people are all happy. There is no enmity. There is no jealousy. there is no back biting. Every one does what is expected of him. is it nice or OK

I'm a christian and I am looking forward to the pain being gone. No more tears of sadness for lost friends or loved ones cause they will all be there.

Love, peace and happiness for everlasting life. No absolute worries and or tears. I would be immediately lifted from earth and welcomed with complete open arms, because I would be ready to do the same.

Oh, this is fun! Now, what would my heaven be like? Hmmm... Lots of fresh fruit trees loaded with fruit, tons of berries, beautiful huge veggies of all kinds, and all ripe at the same time all the time, of course. (I'd be the gardener for those fruits you want.) My absolute favorite thing to do is food gardening. Then fishing. So, of course, there would have to be a huge lake or river stocked full of the biggest fish. Naturally, there would be no bugs or snakes or rodent-type creatures to destroy the garden or bite or sting me. And, definitely, all my family members who have gone before me would be there with open arms, unless they were holding the pets I've had that have also gone ahead of me. What a great way to end the day. It's 10 p.m. here and I'm about ready to hit the hay. It's been a long day and I can't think of a better thought to be in my head while I'm drifting off to sleep than the one you just gave me because of this wonderful discussion. Thank you!

Your heaven sounds simple. I guess you are really fond of various kinds of fruits. Wish your dream come true.

I mentioned the fruits because it's hard to get really fresh fruit around here. And yesterday my dad surprised me with a tray of fresh fruit of three different kinds. I was so happy and thankful and I suddenly thought how great it would be to get all the fresh fruit I want in heaven. I often think of odd things.

It does not matter. It is what you really want and that could make you happy. That's enough~

Well, as a Christian there will be a lot of good things there, and I am looking forward to eventually being there someday. My heaven I can imagine will be lined with streets of gold, and everything I see will be lined with gold. And since I also Love purple I will finally be able to have purple for everything there for like the walls of my house, etc. as well. Finally my body will be completely healed to where it will not hurt to walk, etc. as well and everything bad will be behind me. Personally I cannot wait to get there, get my wings and just relax and enjoy. Heaven is truly worth working for.

You are probably not too far off on how it will be Ambie, but you forgot our mansions, got to have a mansion for everyone..:) I will see my pets I have lost as well as loved ones and even see my sister with both her legs, possibly even running through a meadow...I'll get to pick a different fruit from the tree of life every month, enjoying each different flavor...

I've always wondered about the mansions. If we aren't going to sleep, why the heck are we going to have a mansion?

Good question Ambie. Jesus did say He is going to go and build us a mansion, so there must be a reason...

Jesus tells us before he left that we would all be made whole, so I'm looking forward to having a new heart to replace this old worn out one.

sounds wonderful. id have no pain whatsoever. and be young and fun again and have my hubby John there to enjoy it with me and my lab, Bear that passed away and if coco was gone by then, her to. or at least when she gets there to play with me and Bear and my John and a big soft, soft bed with tons of pillows to lay about on when we rested, all 4 of us. the main thing ive wanted to ask and understand though, id ask God why he took John from me. thats one thing still i want to know.

Hey sis! Sorry it took me so long to respond. I'm going to send you a private email to let you know what's been going on later. But, for this question, I hope that I will see all my "babies"- Mystique, Cougar, Jaguar (all cats) and Winky my dog! And I would like to be with my brother again. As for anything else, I just want to be at peace and hope that there is some good food and I know that there will be some incredible bands and all kinds of great music! But, not in a hurry to get there~

Besides the obvious religious figures, family and friends, my heaven would have all of my pets...at least the ones who have passed on. I'll be happy to wait there for the rest of them. If Someone has a sense of humor, where you had to choose between a people heaven and a pet heaven...then my choice would be much harder. Lets hope we all have a LONGA time before we find out, eh?

Sorry to be serious but heaven to me will be when I meet the souls of the five babies that I miscarried. I believe that they returned to God and that I will be with my husband and them when I die. I always think of God as the colour pink and that I will be enveloped in a loving pink cloud. What a day that will be. Life is a gift but it is only when we die that we will really understand and know so much and it is then that life will begin. Blessings

If I had a husband and many babies waiting for me in Heaven I'd be serious about it too. I can't imagine the joy you will experience when you see them again. I like to think about my Papaw. I get teary just thinking about it. If I were to be serious I would say forget the fruit tray, just please have my Papaw waiting by the pearly gates when I get there.

I do believe and I know it will be peaceful and that is what I want. Full of color (the paintings of God). I would continue to serve and just look forward to have all my worries gone. I am in great hopes to see my passing family, friends and pets there. It is just joyous to think one day I will be there.

LOL I think it would also have massive libraries and I could read all the books, even the "lost" ones - or even ones that were never finished here! and there would be great plays of shows that have been lost in antiquity and I could hear the great composers playing their own music, or directing heavenly host in great symphonies! And I would be surrounded by all the cats I've lost in my life, and they'd all be well behaved! **faint!**

Probably a castle with all my friends and relatives waiting for me inside and later on I will receive lots of hugs and kisses from all of them. Also, plenty of chocolate and great food for everyone to have a great time together again.

What a nice thought AmbiePam! Let's see, I think of Heaven as a place where our bodies become whole again but in a spirital way. We're never sad, we never get hungry and we never get hot or cold because it's supposed to be the greatest place on earth. I'm with all of my fur babies that have passed before me..... Kisses, Tuffy, Gracie, Britney, Rainbow, Bubbles, Sandman, Star, Snowball, Trixi, Lucky, Jake, Sissy, Candy and all of the ones I had when I was a kid. Imagine that! LOL LOL And I can imagine there would be fields and fields to run and play in, waterfalls and flowers just everywhere.

I would meet my husband and my mom and oh lord maybe my dad, but maybe not too. It would be warm and oh so friendly there.Sounds like a great dream too but its my idea of heaven.,lol
