When i first saw mylot, i thought wow! How great place i have gotten to discuss over science, politics, life etc etc. I am really enjoying discussing here but only thing which bother me why mylotters are not participating in interest science? There are hundreds of discussions starts each day, but why interest named science is too inactive? I know you peoples have lots knowledge of science to teach us. I have seen many lotters answering lots of difficult queshtions.I have also gotten lots of answers to my queshtions here but only 1 or 2 discussion starts every month! If you have any queshtions you can ask them here. Are you so much addicted in earning moneys online that you don't get time to discuss over science? There are lots of small interests where we can't chat long but lotters science is huge subject! I have started some quality discussions explaining wonderful things of science but i got only three responses which i was never expected. You can check them. I have thought several times about this but i didn't get answer why this is so.

Anything that is data based and science is, does not generate discussions. This is a discussion site and trying to debate an issue that is based on data will generate opinions that will hold no water. imho. Nevertheless you can start a topic and let's hope you will succeed in making it a meaty discussion.

My belief is that whatever is based on data, for instance maths may not generate discussions. I have asked Yogesh to put up a discussion and hoping to participate there! Nice to see you here GAA!

I don't know about that. I think science can make for great discussion material. I have seen a good number of science based discussions over the years.

I din't get you. Anything that is data based will not generate discussion but will generate opinions then opinions will not generate discussions? Then what is the problem to express opinions? I think i'll have to do it.

Hi Yogesh, To speak the truth all things/subjects are easy and all are difficult. You might be thinking that people are not interested in science for it is comparatively difficult for people from all walks of life. But if you are really an expert in science thing you would simplify in such a way that it no longer remains a monster. Do not lose your heart. Three or two quality responses is better than nonsense scraps. The most striking reason is that almost all the science subjects have their theory and we have solution too. But if you discuss LIFE, there is no end to it. And science is thee too but in the latent form.

Hi krajibg, nice to see you in my discussion. I am getting what you are trying to say. No i am certainly not sharp enough in science but you peoples are certainly sharp than me. Whenever i see someone asking some difficult queshtion of science i see some sharp lotters who have deep knowledge. I remember when one lotter asked why sky is blue, lots of lotter responded him and he got satisfactory deep answers. And then again only queshtion that rises his head up is why science interest is so inactive?

I guess that is because most science questions can be answered by googling it. You can find it in the internet, unless it's something newly discovered. Anyway, what kind of questions do you like to ask or discuss? The thing is, if it's a question about opinions on certain scientific fact, then there's the possibility of a response. But those that seems like Q&A type, I don't think we would like to be bothered. You can always find answers to those yourself. Anyway, I also don't get why everyone is so obsessed with earning online. There are other topics more worthwhile I guess. But then, I do understand if they really need the money but I don't think they'll earn that much online.

At first i also used to get obsessed with earning online, you cannot imagine how much efforts i have taken to get referals but now when i came to know we cann't earn as much we expect then i given up. Yes, i agree with you if the discussion is Q and A type then we could find it by googling, but there are also 'newly discovered queshtions'. If you are currently educating then you'll get 'newly discoved queshtions.' I think everyone thinks before asking his science queshtion on mylot 'why to write it here? It would be better to start it on yahoo answers' because here you can ask queshtion deeply and there is more possibility of getting answers. but i think there are also other subject over which we can discuss. If you keep interest in science, you do have your own interests ie physics, chemistry etc. I am specially interested in astrophysics ie space, galaxies, time travel, aliens, black holes etc. You can discuss on your interest.

i don't know Yogesh2708. maybe your comprehension of science is above and beyond the average mylotter. however, i'm interested in reading some of your discussion about science. i'll check them out.

hi yogesh I think a lot of people come here just for money and do not even think clearly about what they write. I am saying a lot do not use all their brains here like they could. they are so intent on earning what they mistakenly think will be a fortune they do not think on what is presented to them;.but do not give up as there are many here who do look forward to informative discussions that give them real things to think about and respond to. Some of us are interested in one or two aspects of science and want to know more but sometimes find it hard to word our discussions. As to politics thats a vicious dog eat dog war arena here where if you do not agree with the republicans who hate Obama you are called vicious names and thou roughly insulted.Life is a great topic if you narrow it down to just a few points in one discussion. But religion and politics are two interests I will not participate in at all. too much flaming and arrogrant slap you downs for me to handle. Keep up making great discussions and you will get responders who are interested in S cience.hugs from hatley.
