I guess it depends on the lifestyle of a person! As for me I do household work during the day and my online job during the day! And I suggest we should practice a better time management not to be stressful enough to do work!

Hi innocents_lost, I'm also a night owl and I like to stay up late all the time. It's so quite and peaceful to do my favorite things in wee hours. I hate to get up early in the morning. getting up early in the morning would happen only if I were to catch the early bus or plane Happy posting

it's the great benefit to be alone in tranquil night for all my family members have gone to bed No more noises made by the tv program as well as the disturbance from their never ending chitchat and laughter too. Yeah, the nagging asking me to go to bed earlier every now then would in a bad mood and irritable too. And certainly I couldn't concentrate on what is on the web for sure

that is true i can't do anything here when everyone is awake i generally wait till everyone has gone out for the day to do my laundry and that and cleaning that needs the vaccume as it stops the content have you cleaned this yet have you done that yet. where i used to live i would get up early with the sun to do the chores on the farm and that might be it as well as everything is so calm first thing in the morning and the animals were just waking up
• Canada

yes you are right it is defiantly more peaceful i think that might be part of the reason i'm up late because it is the only time i can do stuff around the house with out being asked 100 questions or nagged about stuff....hmmm i never really though about that

Hello, it is saying that early to bed and early to rise make a man healthy and wise. It is true one must be wake up early in the morning. But I like to stay late at night if I have some urgent work to do. But I like to wake up early in the morning.

Lol I think I'm neither. I don't go to bed that late (usually between 10:30 and 11:30) and I don't wake up super early. When I do wake up early I'm sort of grumpy and I don't like people talking to me. But then at night I get really tired before its even that late. I guess I'm just one of those odd ones who's neither of the two lol.

My family has always called me 'The Night Owl'. There are pictures of me asleep in my cereal bowl at the age of nine. I've always had a hard time in the morning and am more alert at evening time. In school all my classes before ten had low scores and after I had higher scores. So in college I picked classes in late morning and arranged my schedule to suit my sleeping oddities. I graduated with a 3.97. For me there really is something to my ability to rest better at certain hours. Funny thing I noticed though in a recent trip to Indonesia, is that I slept great at normal hours. So maybe I am in the wrong time zone or destined to live in a warm tropical climate.

Yes, I'm sure that is it. We are all just in the wrong time zone. lol I'm surrounded by roosters... I actually do not know any night owl people, with the exception of maybe one. So, you think there are more of us than there are of them? What do you base this on?

I have always been a night person and have always had trouble trying to get up early in the mornings even when I was still a child. I guess the reason for this is that my parents always allowed me to sleep in especially during the weekends. Not that I was a inactive child, rather I was very hyperactive and loved to run and climb. When I started working, the shifts that was given to me were closing shifts at the fastfood restaurant I was able to work with. The schedule suited me well and I had no trouble adjusting to late nights working unlike other people who would be lethargic by 9 or 10PM because it is already past their bedtime. I have been working in the call center industry for the past eight years and this is another job that I have had no problems adjusting to the work schedule. I have never really been a morning person and when asked what shift I wanted, I would always answer early afternoon or the graveyard shift.

yes i wish i worked a later shift so often! I to believe i have always been a night person i remember going to school many days so tired because i could not get to sleep at a half decent time I ill often go to bed around 9 to make sure i get enough sleep but then i just end up lying in bed for hours awake and get no extra sleep at all very frustrating

I guess that being required to take a pill at 6am is good for me, otherwise, it's no telling when I'd get up. Many years ago, I worked for the phone co. My hours were 10pm to 7am. That was my favorite job, so you can easily see which category I fit in. Don't know if I was programed that way. I've hated to get u p early in the morning since childhood, but that may have been because of the drafty old farm house we lived in.

I am definately a night person. Of course I do work at nights and have done so for many years now. I am not sure if I began working nights because I am a night person or if became a night person because I work at nights. Either way, I am always slow to wake at the beginning of each day. I try to sleep in as long as possible before getting out of bed.

I'm a night person. I go to sleep pretty late considering that I have to get up early for work. I go to bed around midnight and have to be up by at least at 6am. I probably should get up early so I dont have to rush to get ready but I don't like getting up each morning and wouldnt even if I did go to bed at a normal time.

21 Jan 12
yea if i have to get up at 7 i set my alarm to 6:30 and it takes me 15 min to get my bum out of bed lol but i would rather get 15 min extra sleep and be rushed then not get that extra sleep :P

I am a morning person. I go to bed early and find that I am fresh and energetic in the morning. I'm not sure it's my lifestyle. I kind of programmed myself. A decade ago, I was never up early and used to go to bed very late. I realized it wasn't helping me and started getting up at 5 am and going to bed before 10pm. It helped me a lot. I got time to myself in the morning when everyone else was asleep and I could plan and manage my time well.I wasn't rushing around trying to finish things and I was calmer and more patient with the people around me. I feel since I am a morning person, I needed this routine for things to work out well. A night person would probably reverse what I do and be comfortable with that.

makes sense that is what my boyfriend is like he gets up at 5 am and does all kinds of stuff around the house while i'm still sleeping then at night i do the same thing while he is already in bed :P Even when i go to bed early with him he's up at 5 and i ant 5 more hours sleep lol just cant bring myself to wake up early no matter how much sleep i have gotten

I think I am definitely a night person! I always get incredible ideas and think about all sorts of different types of projects at night! For that reason I find it difficult to go to bed and I would like to just continue doing what I was doing for longer, which is not very considerate for others!

Well it will be difficult to answer any of the above questions as I dont fall under any of them. I am a night person but i can get up early or sometimes if is too early then I dont prefer to sleep at all. About reason for all this I think it has to be life style as every one has their own schedule and their own watch to follow. As long as you are fit and fine all izz well.. What say ? Cheers !

that is very true i am finding it extremely interesting how many more people are night people then morning people my schedule fluctuates so i don't have a set sleeping ruitine

I'm more of a night person, not a morning person. I definitely do not wake up happy Especially when I need to wake up real early. When I wake up each morning, I need to lie there for a while before I can get my mind together and get up. I tend to be pretty lazy and just want to crawl back in bed and I hate my alarm. I tend to be more energetic at night, I just don't want to sleep! But I prefer sleeping better than waking up. I feel more like myself at night when it's cool and dark, not bright and hot in the morning. So I'm a night person, I like to stay up late.

do you ever wish you could change that? just jump out of bed every morning and be wide awake and ready to go?

I'm definitely a night person! I achieve so much during nighttime. During daytime I'm usually groggy and on autopilot. Moreover, I'm often sleepy! As a student, not staying up late is not really an option because I have to submit a lot of papers and the like, and I only have nighttime to finish them all. I'm just more relaxed at night, if that makes sense.

that makes perfect sense i am much the same although not a student i seem to get all my house work finished at night when i have more energy
