If it makes you feel better: my mother is way worse (better don't ask how terrible she is). I am not that way anymore and I don't care anymore. I am tired of cleaning up day and night and it seems nobody cares over here. My house is still way cleaner as most people their houses (even with kids, can be annoying they make more mess as I can handle). And yes if I am on vacation I clean the hotel room myself (and buy bleach), but I don't overdo it anymore. It's nice to have it sparkly clean but it's better to have a life. BTW it's proven that those who live in dirt are more healthy as those who always live in a clean house (so I guess it's thanks to my mom I have an overworked auto immune system).

Though I like my house, rooms and clothes clean, I am no cleanliness freak! I won't be losing my sleep worrying about keeping everything neat and tidy. But yes, I do find time as part of daily routine to clean the utensils, wash the clothes and clean the rooms. I think we all like our homes to be neat and clean and like having things in order. It is just that some go that extra mile looking for perfection!

I like clean...but i dont loose sleep over it. I hate a nasty smell and will clean or open a window to air things out. Bleach to remove the grime is good. I have clorox wipes to use to wipe things down quickly between major cleanings.

I like things clean, but I'm not the type to go using toxic chimicals (such as bleach) to clean things knowing my health can't handle it. I can use less-abrasive substances that do the job just as well, or bi-products that have other agients in them. This way I'm not overwelming myself and making myself sick too. There is such a thing as clean, and too clean. While you don't like the sight of dirt and grime, you have to also remember that bleach (and other substances like it) are krosive and will eventually cause problems. Using bleach too much is actually dangerous to your health, and should be used on a limited basis. When I clean I usually do it once a week. And I'm always careful when I do it. Then again, I'm not obsessive-compulsive about it either. So in effect I'm not a clean freak. But, there is nothing wrong with those who are, as long as they don't put cleanlessness over their general health. There is no excuse for that.

Depends. Most of the time I don't care too much. Sometimes though I do get crazy about cleaning stuff up. Its weird. I get this urge to just sort everything out and make the floor clean enough to eat off of. It gets so bad on those days that my mom tells me to cool it. To that I tell her, "But it's not clean yet!" And she of course insists it is. But no, I have to keep going. I see that one speck of dust in the corner that mom missed seeing and I have to clean it up. That goes on for most of the day until I'm well tuckered out. Thankfully that doesn't happen so often because quite honestly those moods worry me a little bit. Now if you'll excuse me I think the boots need sorting.

I agree, bathroom and kitchen must be clean before going to bed cause those two rooms must be clean to feel comfortable at home. The rest of the house I like with that feeling of life so not necessarily always in perfect order. No I do not think you are a freak about clening, I know someone that really things about it every single minute cleaning where it is already clean!

as so many sp ecials on TV have shown your bathrooms can either be really clean or not so clean. When I was still in our apartment' I always cleaned my own bathroom thoroughly as I wanted it safe for my health and smelling good too.Potty had to be clean , all the porcelian had to be clean and sprayed with lysol the floors spotless so one could not get sick from an unsanitary bathroom. here in 'gold crest they use a disinfectant that has the most Godawful odor I have ever smelled strong not lysol thats pleasant this is rank but it would kill any germ no matter what,. sometimes right after the housekeeping aide left it the air in there made me dizzy.strong chemical odor
