It seems that President Obama, who has made close to 100 fundraising appearances so far this year but he tells Democrats that he will not be sharing the money with them. He is even too busy to help them with fundraising or to Campaign with them. It seems that spread the wealth is only for others to follow but not the President. Do as I say not as I do. http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0312/73600.html

Obama is going to need every dime he can get with the enormous amounts of money being spent this year. This should be awake up call to all Americans when you see people spending BILLIONS to get elected president. If you don't like the MSM than you should call for a change to our election system because they are going to be the main beneficiary of all of this money. I would really like to see someone explain to me how you can cost justify spending that kind of money to hold ANY office in the world.

Some people are also waiting to see how the primary plays out. Most of his donations are coming from the working class, and we can't promise a $100 million dollar donation like the Koch brothers. $3.00 at a time is how it is working out for Obama, and amazingly so.

For once I agree with you. The system is crooked as a old man's back. But the trouble is, if we ask them to change it, they will make it WORSE!

I heard Obama's not getting as much as he said he would, wonder why? Seems so deep pockets have dried up for him.

I laugh at the fact that back in 2008 he said SuperPAC's were wrong, now he's accepting all the help from them he can get.

In 2008 he did not need them and the Republicans did not have them organized so it was OK to question them. Now the Republicans have some and they appear to be effective so now he needs them so now they are good.

Exactly, just like his new love for Netanyahu. Everyone forgets how he and the idiot frenchman spoke about the PM when they didn't know the mike was open. It's election time, he is going to notch up the lying a tad to get reelected. I only hope the GOP calls him out on his lies. I just can't understand how so many do not see him for what he is. Have we become so blind as a people?

The irony of the SuperPac is that they are keeping Gingrich, and Santorum in this race. Without them, Romney would be fighting Obama right now, not other republicans.

The count now is over a hundred fund raisers. Some of those Democrats are going to need some of that money if they are going to stay in. It seems that he is setting himself up for potential failure by which he can pass the blame.

In 2008 many of the congressmen and women who got elected owed the President. If he gets re elected this congress will not owe him.

presidential campaign is such an expensive operation. electoral fundraising is meant to be spent in the campaigns, and not meant to be pocketed by an individual. the funds raised in the campaign are for specific purpose. if it is for presidential election, then it will be spent to advance the winnability of the presidential candidate of the party.

In 2008 he did a lot of fundraising for others and gave part of his funds to individual. He announced that he would raise $1 billion for his re election. After 100 events he is short of his goal. It seems that President Obama is all about himself. He only cares about spreading the wealth when it is someone elses wealth.

I wonder as a Christian since Obama claims to be Christian how he would deal with the Scripture that says in Matthew 19: The Rich Man 16 Someone came to Jesus with this question: “Teacher, what good deed must I do to have eternal life?” 17 “Why ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. But to answer your question—if you want to receive eternal life, keep the commandments.” 18 “Which ones?” the man asked. And Jesus replied: “‘You must not murder. You must not commit adultery. You must not steal. You must not testify falsely. 19 Honor your father and mother. Love your neighbor as yourself.'” 20 “I’ve obeyed all these commandments,” the young man replied. “What else must I do?” 21 Jesus told him, “If you want to be perfect, go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” 22 But when the young man heard this, he went away sad, for he had many possessions. 23 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “I tell you the truth, it is very hard for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. 24 I’ll say it again—it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God!” Obama and the government have all this money, but you don't see any of them donating their own salaries to charity do you?

I remember somewhere hearing that he gave about 1% to charity. I think it was when Romney's wealth was under the microscope. Romney gave something like 15%.

There's nothing honorable or just about fund raising. It's a bunch of people giving money to vote in a guy who will legislate in their best interest. If we took all the campaign money from both sides for an election year we could make a pretty huge dent in fixing a lot of the countries issues.

I totally agree. It is criminal the amount of money spent on political campaigns. So many porblems in this country could be fixed with all that money.

As a taxpayer I don't like paying for his fund raising trips. He will have some very thinly disguised "business" purpose for the trip but most of it will be for fund raising and campaigning. Like that traveling in the mid west a while back when he had the two $1 million buses(each cost a million) to travel around to a few places for campaigning. And we payed for them and the trips.

What I want to know is what's a "fair share" in the first place, and what's "spreading" mean, and what is his idea of "fairness"? Mr. Obama broaches these subjects in an incredibly generic way. It's obviously political, so he can roll it back either way if need be. But I'd just like to understand WTF he's talking about in the first place. But I agree that he's a do-as-I-say kinda guy. Nobody's running for president who doesn't want to be president.
