I mean come on! Whst s dsthe deal with that? What if you had a party there with several kids? Do we still have to eat and leave? I am not beleving that sign! What do you think about that?

Maybe that particular location has had trouble with people loitering there and causing trouble? I know the ones I visit don't care how long you stay so long as you keep purchasing something from the restaurant and aren't causing a disturbance. When we go to their lil play area we are there usually 2-3hrs, they play and I surf the net or crochet.

I think that sign is really, really rude. That is no way to treat your customers. At fast food places most people usually do just eat and leave. I imagine they must be very busy and have limited seating but I don't think it is necessary to tell people they need to get out, that is just very unwelcoming. What if you are meeting there with a friend and want to chat for a while? I think that is awful.

I agree! I think it is rude too! There was a lot of people there but there were also a lot of booths and seats that were not being used at all.

Where do you live? That is ridiculous lol! Maybe they had too many people recently who were coming in and sitting there and not eating anything and taking up tables? I know some establishments they can ask you to purchase something if you're going to be there....

I thought that all food chains had certain rules. That sign is something that looks as if a crazy manager had placed it there to lose clients. I would not go there again as you can walk a bew blocks and get another one. But I would also put a complaint. I´m sure someone will handle that.

If you take a picture, enclose it with a letter to an authority. I´m sure there has to be a law against that kind of crap.

Yes I think there should be a law for that nonsense!

It sounds very strange to me, maybe it's only something to do with that store.

That is very strange.. It's kinda rude for the customers you know! Every time I go to any fast food chains or let say McDonalds, I always stay there for almost an hour and sometimes more than an hour.

There's no signs like that in any McDonald's I've ever been in, but that's why I asked where it is you live. Maybe that's common in another country? I'm in the US.

Mc Donald's business had grown exponentially over the years globally, it doesn't care that much about its ridiculous customer service policy for us anymore, it can afford to put up offesive eatery policy and make a fool out of everyone now, may be you should think about not going to that food joint in the future for your meal or hamburger, i am sure there are many restaurants around your city where you can eat with peace and at your own speed. Yes, it is silly and insulting to the customer who dine in there, but as a chain-restaurant behemoth, it probably believe it is its rights to set policy for its own convenience instead of yours, it can do whatever with its huge financial clout and strong position in food industry.

I agree they are a multi million dollar company and can do whatever they want but I think that is just rude and yes there are plenty of other places to eat that don't care how long you stay.

I agree with other posters that it is probably because people were coming there purchasing something small and then staying for long amounts of time. I have seen people do this at other places before. Most McDonalds also have free wi-fi so I could see how someone would come in with their laptops order something to drink and then stay there all day long sucking up the free wi-fi and helping themselves to the drink machines (our local McDonalds has self serve drink machines). I could see wanting to defer this behavior.

Hi ja hernandez rivas: Seriously? I don't like this business rule. If I read something like this on my favourite restaurant I won't come again. The reason is simple, that's part of the service. I won't like to be in a restaurant that obviously wants that I leave as fast as possible. When I go to a place like this I want to take my time and feel relaxed. ALVARO

I agree! And there were so many open tables there! I mean if someone has to hurry and eat that is not only unhealthy but dangerous! That can make you sick. I feel the same ay you do.

woah, where is this McDonald's? like in what country? maybe there are just so many people eating and going there and so to give others some place to eat with food, then i guess we also have to be considerate. i just wish they could have said it more polite rather than be demanding hehehe. but that is really weird, i have never seen any signs like that, especially coming from McDonalds.

That is very strange indeed. Here, we can stay all night long if we want to. Many students use McDonalds as a studying place during night time. Many spend 5 hours or more studying there but the management don't mind.

Maybe the sign is there because people eat something and then they stay at the table without ordering anything else and new customers don't have a place to sit so they leave. In this case they loose money, so I guess that's the problem here. It' not really ok, I mean it's a little rude but that's the world we live in. I really don't know if you can complain legally about this. It sucks a little I like those shakes and icecream they have but what can you do ?

I think this is outrageous! My mother is one of the slowest eaters ever and it takes her at least an hour to finnish any food no matter how small it is. Some people just eat slow and nobody should put a limit on that.
