Walking is a good source of exercise and yes it is good for you to walk. I had such a problem losing weight and then starte walkin a couple of miles each afternoon and have lost nearly 30 pounds. Not only that you are outdoors in the fresh air and it makes you feel so much better.

I have once read in a book that walking after a meal is good because it will help to burn the foods that we have eaten. Walking even at a slow pace is still good as long as you're walking.

I haven't heard of this before- but a walk is fine I think since it is not very stressful since you shouldn't move a lot after eating. maybe it is a good practice since it may help you digest your food.

I have a beautiful state park to walk through. You can walk up on the streets and sometimes see the deer feeding, or you can go along the beach adn watch the waves come lapping in from the ocean. Or you can walk along the marina and watch the boats comein and out to sea. I always wish I had someone to walk with . by the time I feed my husband and he settles in after work he does not want to go out and walk like I do. I prefer to be out walking in the mornings or later in the evenings its cooler then and you don'thave to fight the heat of the day.

Experts suggest that a light 10 minutes walk started 15-20 minutes after meal, can help to stretch the muscles and adjust body metabolism. This is not only good for our health but also help us keep in sharp.

I think having a walk after dinner is good for the health. We have an old saying here: You will be alive until 99 years old if you have a walk after dinner. So you can see that there are lots of benefits to have a walk after dinner. It is a suitable exercise for everybody. It is also a good habit. I love China

I think taking a slow walk is good, as it helps in fast digestion of food, as well as provide activity to legs' muscles. And in any case, it is better than just watching TV after dinner.

I think it does work. Walking is known to be good for your health. I try to get out once a day for a long walk with my dogs. I know I should walk more but there just is not time with working such long hours.

I do think that it is a good idea to take a nice little walk and if it is after dinner, so much the better. It is rather something that is going to burn off those excess calories when we might eat a little too much for dinner, so really it is going to be a good habit to get into. There are just instances where a nice little walk is going to be good and what better time to take it after dinner, if you can manage it. There are times where I eat so late that I'm done for the day after I eat which is not something I'd recommend but it is a necessity of schedule. Still there are times where a walk in the evening is good. It can leave me alone with my thoughts. I can cause me to be absolutely liberated. So a good evening walk is something that I would recommend. If it is after dinner, so much the better for a number of reasons. Walking is a form of exercise that many people tend to overlook. Which is a shame as they should not but many of them do.

Yes, basing from my past experience it is indeed good for our health to walk after dinner. That way, the walking helps us to digest the food we have just eaten for dinner. And you will sleep fitfully after that.

Walking is most definitely good for your body & would also help you burn off excessive calories. I have also heard that one should walk after about 30 minutes - 1 hour after your meal. Am really not sure how accurate that is. But, nevertheless, walking is a very good exercise.

I think it's good to walk any time. I feel like to me it makes more sense to walk AFTER you eat than before, just because you are burning off some of those calories from dinner then. So yes - I think walking is a great idea (always) but especially AFTER eating! Happy MyLotting!
