Ours is going on right now just a block from my house. Its 100 degrees out with high humidity and so the parade goes on without me. I had heat stroke at one time and these kinds of temperatures are better for me spent in my air conditioning. Are you attending a 4th of July parade? It is extremely hot where you are at?

If there had been a parade near me I wouldn't have gotten out. It's just too darn hot. I watched fireworks on TV on the fourth of July. And I got annoyed by me neighbors when they went behind the apartment complex and started lighting sparklers - at 11pm! Nothing like hearing all that noise when you're trying to sleep.

Being that I still have two children that are young, we really didn't have any option but to go to the parade that was held downtown yesterday. Now, I will admit that it really was a nice parade, but it was also so hot outside that it was nearly unbearable. The parade lasted for about an hour and after it was over, we took the kids across the street to a fountain and allowed them to wade in it for a little bit so that they were able to cool down.

We did not go to any parades or firework displays on the 4th. Just way too hot. It's been between 108 and 105 for the last 8 days and can take my breath away so I spend my time inside the house or wherever I can find a/c. Also, many of the firework displays were canceled this year because it's been so dry. There was plenty of concern about brush fires.

I'm in Canadaso our fun was on July 1st. It was hot as he'll, so we went next door to the ANAF and celebrated with the veterans.

No parade for me this year. It has been super hot. They canceled some of the shows here because of the heat. Most shows had fireworks included and they were afraid they would set the mountains on fire. There was a regulated fireworks show here that my daughter went to with her friend but I had a very sick little dog that I had to get attention to on the evening of the 4th. I don't blame you for not getting out. This weather is grueling.

Extreme heat and I never did get along. I'm inside most of the day. No 4th activities here.

Well I didn't have to go far for the parade where I live, it's right in front of my apartment so I just went down and sat on the front steps with my daughter. Yes, it was very hot and hitting the mid-90s. My daughter brought me a small umbrella and I couldn't believe what a difference that made. The parade lasted over 1 1/2 hours which was really a very long time for everyone. We made it through though but were happy to go back inside, lol!

I will not be attending the 4th of July parade tomorrow where I live. We are experienceing a nice heat wave in the 90's night now! So I won't go and watch it! It is bad enough I have to work in a hot kitchen during this heat way! It mkes me crappy and tired! I am glad I drink alot of water!
