A big mix up and head attack for me

It is very complicated and I am not sure if you will understand because honestly Steven and I don't really understand what happened. My son ordered a cellphone on the credit card. First the people said it was okay and then called back to say Capital One refused it. So we told them to cancel the cellphone We called Capital One and they said they don't have the right to refuse anything when the account is in good standing. Then we tried again and they refused because the address was wrong. We fixed that up the computer at Capital One didn't recognized the different french spellings of my street. We ordered a the phone again. Bell Mobility called back again to say the charge was denied. We called Capital One again and they say they never denied anything and now there are two charges on the account for Bell Mobility. But they are not real charges yet they are in pending, and they can't refuse the charges yet because they haven't actually been charged. At this point I was screaming like a crazy woman on the phone to them btw. We tried to get the bell mobility agent back but she won't return my calls.

You are having the kind of trouble with the Bell Mobility and the credit card that I am having with Yahoo mail today. I hope you can get it straightened out really soon. I know it would make me crazy as well.

That sounds like way more hassle than I'd care to deal with. I don't really know how any of that stuff works...it just sounds like a headache to me. I have a tracfone and it is hasslefree so far for me. I also have a landline through my cable company. I honestly don't use either much at all. I can only imagine what you are dealing with right now and I can see myself going balistic on them also.

there is definitly a miscommunication between the credit card company and the cellphone company. Should I expect anything different, there is always unusual stuff going on in my life.

Seems a bit sketchy... Have you done business with Bell Mobilty before? It sounds like they are trying to double charge you? I know you always have to be careful when you are buying things online and giving out your credit card info. I hope it all works out for you and you are not over charged.

Well that doesn't look very good for Bell mobility does it? Never heard of this company but I'll be sure to stay away from it since they don't see fit to return your calls. Hope you get it all cleared up. Capital one sounds like total idiots as well.

Sounds like the issue is with Bell Mobility. If the charges weren't approved by capital one, in a few days they will just drop off and you will not see them on your bill.

yes one has dropped already but bell mobility did send in the reversal. I think the problem lies with the credit card, they approved and then declined this is what bell said.

Apart from the issue with the company selling the phone, you seem to be having a lot of issues with the card company too...if they have your address verified for your mail and card bills that they send you,how is it they still have a problem with the spelling of the street name?

the address can be spelled different ways in french, my son gave one spelling, but it was not the one they had on record.

barbaraprz you just made me lau gh and remember what my son went through trying to put an new audio driver on my rebuilt computer. He tried various things but finally went to microsoft for help. again the computer refused to accept the driver and shut down my computer. He looks at me then says grinning"well gee that was a lot of help aren't we having fun?" I had to laugh too as he said "your computer is accepting the generic audio driver which really it should not but the generic is working fine but the much touted one will not work at all". He had to uninstall it as evidently my windows Vista professional would not accept that audio driver.so I can listen to anything on youtube but not on my winamp. so he is still going to get me a new audio card.

Nice sounds like an awful company to deal with! I wouldn't bother dealing with that service and fight the charges once they have been officially posted.

this is just a very weird circumstance that doesn't happen to most people, on of the charges has already dropped. We don't want the other charge to drop we want the cellphone.

Well, I think this says ALOT for Bell Mobility. I would find someplace else to buy a phone. The electronic process a purchase online goes through is confusing to me. I had a situation one time with my bank (USBANK)where I was charged for a service I didn't want at a company I had gotten a free months service from and forgot to call and cancel. My bank immediately got on the ball, sent me paper work to fill out and did take off the charge. This was a sort of a con and the bank was really good about it. I hope you get these charges taken care of. I have rarely have a problem with purchases online. I would look to Bell Mobility and make sure they take care of this ASAP. Oh, and I also had a problem with Quibids, an online auction site. They take $60 out of your bank account upfront and I went through He$$ getting it back. Live and learn I guess. Good luck!

Wow! that made me feel dizzy, it's good that the charges were not final yet. That would be a big amount of money i guess. Just be cool winterose, i understand its a big mess but we just have to attack the problem objectively. Take a deep breath and sort things step by step. Good luck!

I would just keep calling and calling until I got transferred to someone like a manager. Eventually you should get through to someone. If all else fails I have had good luck with filing complaints with the BBB. www.BBB.org

hi winterose what a horrid experience hope you can fi nally'get it cleared up. reminds m e of when I wanted to get the referral to a wound specalist for the rash on myleg. I called my hmo first a nd she said call your doctor's staff as I have sent it to them. I talked to the office nurse who just said" o h call your insurance" this time I blew up."my insurance lady told me she has already sent the referral to you l. now I w ant the phone number and name of the doctor" She never apologized but said"oh we do have it. She then read off the phone number and the drs name. I was then treated with refreshing courtesy by the new staff of the wound specialist.I went there three times and the third time he had the cream that has completely cleared it up. the odd thing is it comes back about every three months then I just just the cream and again its cleared up.no doctor yet has been able to put a name to it but all think its related to diabetes and a skin fungus.

That is certainly a pain. Sometimes, one has to wonder if any of the people one is dealing with has any clue as to what they are doing. I was just dealing with something earlier that made me wonder if the website designer knew what he was doing. Talking on the phone with a rep from the company did not exactly erase my concerns.

I just found out today that the agent is new, so she may have made the mistake who knows at this point.
