Ok my husband thinks this is strange..I think it is perfectly acceptable.

We went on a 3 day family vacation. I did most of the packing. Now it has been my experience that when places, restaurants, hotels, and the like serve creamer, it is the plain non flavored variety. I don't care for regular creamer. My preference is for the flavored stuff. Our local Dollar General sells a box of 24 individual vanilla creamers. I went and purchases this. And I packed it with our luggage. I love my coffee, and wanted to drink and enjoy it while away from home. Would you have purchased the creamer like I did?

That's actually a good idea. I drink my coffee with hazelnut creamer. I can deal with it with plain creamer but it's not the same. I would probably have packed myself a bottle of hazelnut creamer, but you can't take that to restaurants and such. So next time we plan on going away I think I'll use your trick and see if I can find the single serves in hazelnut!

Of course it's perfectly acceptable, whatever gets your engine running at the beginning of the day. For my own part, I often need that caffeine most of all and the various flavorings are less important. I have simple tastes, I guess.

Simple tastes are fine. I have just never been able to get used to the taste of black coffee. It is always pass the creamer pls.

If there was a drink that I enjoyed, I would have done the same as you, lol, I would have bought some and took it away on holiday as well. I have been known to take drinks with me to peoples houses that I enjoy, as knowing that they would not have any there. I think it was a great idea of you packing what you like to drink.

I dont think theres anything wrong with wanting your drink how you like it. besides vacation is suppose to be for you to relax and if your flavor will relax you then so be it.

I would, and I'm sure my husband would too :) There's nothing wrong if you want some of your stuff, besides I don't think establishments charge corkage fee for bringing your own creamer, now do they? It only shows that you have your certain preference for your coffee and you wouldn't have it any other way when you can do something about it.

Well I dont think there is anything wrong with this at all. Your just taking account of the way you like your coffee and making sure you can have it the way you like while your on vacation. Vacation is supposed to be relaxing and fun if you dont have your coffee the way you like it then maybe it will start your day on a bad foot.

hi ersmommy1 I see nothing wrong in getting the flavor creamer' you like and packing it so you have your favorite flavor in your coffee any place you go;a vacation is for fun and part of that is enjoying your coffee and your meals.

I probably would of done the same thing especially if I knew there was a chance that I would be without something that I liked while I would be gone. As long it fits in my suitcase and I don't have to pay extra luggage fees to have it.

If I am a coffee lover, then I would have done exactly as you did. Even though I normally take the plain ones and also flavored ones. No particular preference but I like to change the taste once in a while. They taste good and enhances your experience with coffee. So why not do that as long as you are enjoying it right.

Sure, why not. You are going on vacation. You should enjoy life and whatever makes you happy. Why does it matter as long as you are happy? At the end of the day you enjoyed your coffee as you like it. :)

I think it is a smart idea to bring along the creamers you like. Why go somewhere to enjoy yourself and not enjoy your coffee the way you want it, especially if you enjoy it at home. That takes away from your enjoyment. What the coffee creamers take up about 2 inches, and no matter where you are you can have your coffee your way.
