Some of u may recall my discussion a few days ago about my grandson telling me he was going commando & i didn't know what he was talking about, lol. I wondered as others did where he heard it. He will be 8 mon.Last night i was watching family feud on the gameshow channel which he & i watch alot. One of the contestant's answer to the question was what do u do when u have no clean underwear. Her answer was u go commando ,lol.I thought AH HA but that's where Ryan heard it. They show the same programs over & over on the gsc. Do u watch it?

I do watch some of the games on that channel. I think that that makes perfect sense. That's definitely where he heard it. I have seen several sci-fi movies where creatures from other worlds have learned all about Earthlings by listening to the tv for a day or two. Makes alot of sense.

The first thing that I thought of when you said your grandson was going "commando" was that he was going to dress in fatigues, do the paint thing on his face and go from there... It didn't dawn on me that it was going without underwear!!! It is fun to watch in public, you can tell the ones who have gone commando and those who haven't. Suddenly you'll see a man jerk and frantically adjust himself. I'm sure no one dropped a live king crab down his pants!!! My ex decided to go "commando" when he was in the military. I wasn't married to him then otherwise I would really have destroyed his ego by laughing at him constantly. It was bad enough on our wedding night when he undressed and was wearing size 50 boxer shorts and he was a size 32! He looked like he was wearing a skirt...and of course the feeling person I was I pointed and laughed, I finally got myself under control then he took the hem of his shorts in his fingers and curtsied. It took me two days to control myself. Anyhow, back to the commando. It lasted all of two hours. It was that long because the first thing he did was zip a very important member of his anatomy in the zipper of his pants! He stood in his quarters debating whether to go to the ER or to unzip himself. That was decided when he tried to take the first step...after an hour and 45 minutes of pain he finally bit the bullet so to speak and unzipped his pants himself. He had the imprint of the zipper on his anatomy for several weeks...it also turned black and blue. He was really lucky that he didn't have a physical scheduled. I still giggle about it to this day, over 40 years later!!! You might use my ex as an example to your grandson about the hazards of going commando.

I would rather keep the good memories (or the funny ones) than put down the person for a marriage that didn't work. Life is too short to hold a grudge or fixate on the negative parts of a person's life. I have held that in my heart for years and Thursday night when we went to the Paul Revere and the Raiders concert at our local fair, I realized that I was getting to be very stuffy and unfun. I promised myself to remember the fun things and start having more fun in my life. The weekend is going great, I am finishing cleaning the carpets in the house (they have needed cleaning for quite awhile but I haven't felt up to doing much) and when we had four quick power outages I decided to take a quick break and check the lot. Then back to work and finishing the job so it's done and I don't have to worry about it. I hope your weekend is going great...

Hilarios response, i loved it.I bet that hurt, bet it taught him a good lesson to.It's great u still have funny memories of that time. Sometimes when they are exes it's hard to do that. I think i will leave that up to his dad to tell him, lol.Right now he thinks it's so cool for some reason to do that.I'm sure that could change right quick if his zipper got involved.. Thanks for responding.Hope u are having a good weekend.

Ahhhh haaaa! The little stinker! A smart little stinker! For a young guy like him, to figure out what it meant, he's really smart! When I was his age and much older, I didn't know what it meant and I didn't have the mind to put two and two together! Of course I missed a lot because of my hearing problem but still, that's pretty darned smart to have figured that out! I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he grows up to become a lawyer, a doctor, or something of that nature. I hope his parents make a lot of money to afford his college costs! Whew!

Thanks for responding. Thanks, i think he's pretty smart to. I hope he turns out to be something really good. His parents don't have alot of money i'm afraid but we [if we is still here] will cross that bridge when we get to it. I have crossed many, many bridges in my lifetime.

Hi AL! Don't feel too bad. I didn't know what "going commando" meant until a few years ago. One day my girlfriend told be she was "going commando" and I asked her what she was talking about. When she told me I just looked at her like she was crazy! I thought that it was kind of gross personally, but found out that it was alot more popular that I would have imagined! For me, I prefer to wear undies!

hi antiquelady wow well I learned what it m eant fromn several younger my lotters. they were u sing this term and as I did not know it I just asked and I had to lau gh. I think at one time or another most all of us have had to do that,. we might not tell the whole world or even friends but we all do what we have to. There is no shame as who will know unless you tell them and its nobodys business but our own lol.

Used to watch it a lot, but rarely any more. My family was talking about trying to get on the show at one point, but nothing ever came of it.

yes they do remember a lot they see on tv thats why its so bad that todays tv is so lax about what they show. not much censor at times. i dont usually watch many game shows. altho its good for kids i think since it seems to teach them some facts they should know probably

Kids do have this uncanny ability of absorbing everything like a sponge, even if they only saw or heard it once. I have a lil sis who started calling the toilet as the sh*tter when she heard my then bf now husband said it. Good thing we managed to purge it out of her vocabulary before our mom hears her.
