The rain started three hours ago and I can see the water is rising on the street. I woke up my daughter since it is almost midnight here and told her to help me with our stuff down stair I'm not feeling good about this rain. I saw the status of my friend on FB who lives only 10mins away from me that her house is already on the flood. We hurriedly bring our stuff up stairs I push myself to lift the TV and the TV rack I put the wood bench under the sofa and gosh it's heavy. Now I saw the water coming from the gate and near the stair of the door. I wish this rain stops and I hope the water gets down before it reach my flooring.

It seems that you have to do it every year. It must be hard even if you get used to it. Hope you are doing well and cope the raining season. Here the rain is on and off and I am feel grateful for it.

It's great that you came prepared, not so great that it's that bad though. Fortunately I've never been in a situation where it has flooded the inside of my house though I wish I could say that for the outside as well...anyway It's great to prepare for the worst if only the worst wasn't that bad....if that makes any sense. It's been raining for quite some time...almost 4 days to be exact and I am happy that it stopped today, it's a bright and sunny day today. I hope that the rain isn't that bad there although I hope the best for you and hope that it stops soon.

I hope the rain stops too. You can send it to use here in Idaho. I hope it doesn't reach your flooring. We had a flood here afew years ago. We had pictures in the news of men in boats gliding down the streets. This lady that owned a neighborhood store in the area spoke about it on the news. How scarey it was.

As the moment I was blessed because the water is almost gone. Last year the same month It really reach my floors up to the second stairs of my house. That's why I'm already aware now that if the rain pours continually I have to take my first move.

I think I would have most of my stuff upstairs so you could move quickly when and if you needed to. Good luck!

Oh please take care and I hope the rain stopped now. I haven't had any experience with flood here in our place. This reminds me of Ondoy- when almost the whole of metro Manila was submerged to waters. In times of crisis our body adjust with the situation and the adrenalin rush help us do things we think is impossible

At least you had the chance to move your things before they were destroyed. You see, where we live, it is uncommon to experience any kind of flood, so when there are heavy rains it normally hits families by surprise when the water starts to rise out of their sewer pipes and such. I remember when I was in high school there were heavy rains and it did cause several people's basements to flood. One of my really close friends lost most of their electronics because they were something that they did keep in their basement. I felt so sorry for them.

Many families are normally affected here in the last typhoons we have some part of the country. Not only floods but also landslide, which is so sad.

It's good that you had a chance to move the stuff, though, before the water could reach it. Hopefully the flooding in your area will not be too bad.

Oh it is really hard to experience floods that could really make us worry all the time whats gonna happen. Nice that you have enough time to move things that might get affected. Just avoid going into floods to avoid getting sickness like leptospirosis that is really so dangerous. I hope that flood in your place subside immediately. Keep safe.

Where's your area at? I hope by now the flood has subsided. I hope there's not a typhoon once more. We could use a little break from all the rains.

You better keep safe Ms.Lyn, it is also raining here since yesterday. The rain yesterday was so hard we were wet when we arrived home! Today it is raining again and the kids are now equipped with rain coats..the good thing is that there is no flood around our area as the area is a bit high but the wind is heavy.
