If this won't sway you, I don't know what will The United Nations Special Rapporteur on Counter-Terrorism and Human Rights has warned Americans not to elect Republican Mitt Romney in next month’s presidential election, saying that doing so would be “a democratic mandate for torture.” http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Peace/2012/10/21/UN-Warns-Americans-Do-Not-Elect-Mitt-Romney If I was an undecided voter, this would change my mind.

According to some the UN wants to become the leader of the world with a one world government. Gov Romney does not share that vision so I can see why the UN does not want him as President.

Terrorists appointed to Human Rights council. UN troops sexually abusing children scandal. Dictators appointed as leadership in UN. Like the UN has ANY ROOM to tell the USA that we should be 'watched'. What I see is this; we haven't legally declared a war since WWII. All were UN sanctioned 'police actions'. The UN controls our money through the IMF. Our soldiers are fighting under command of the UN in many cases around the world. The UN is silently buying up water rights around the world. Oh, there is just so many things that concern me. We are giving up our soverign right to self rule bit by bit to this entity. And them coming to 'watch' us is a joke. Do you know who asked for this? http://www.examiner.com/article/united-nations-to-monitor-conservative-groups-at-polling-places I'm telling you, soon it will be illegal for anyone to be a Christian via the UN Resolution 1618, which makes it a crime to insult Islam (Not being a Muslim and declaring you believe in Christ as the Son of God is an insult to them) and soon illegal to be a conservative, we are at the top of the possible domestic terror watch list you know. Do liberals really think that the Muslims and the UN will not turn on THEM once they gain complete power?

Amen Debra! Some of the names of the founders of this group are very damning too! http://amazingdiscoveries.org/S-deception_UN-Alice-Bailey_World-Goodwill http://www.contenderministries.org/articles/UN_aaclucis.php http://modernhistoryproject.org/mhp?Article=UNSpirit

I really do not understand why we continue our membership in this group. What a waste of money and scary as hell that our right are being chipped away. I would love to see a candidate say that we need to pull out and save our money and save our liberty. That would be an automatic vote from me!

Why anyone would listen to a word the UN says concerning the United States is beyond me. We know they can't stand us and would do anything to harm us. If I had my way, the UN would be moved out of New York and placed in Haiti.

I can't think of a much more useless organization than the U.N. and now we have one of it's representatives telling us what to do in our country and our election. Mr. Ben Emmerson has shown that he hasn't got the slightest clue. In his words: "The re-introduction of torture under a Romney administration would significantly increase the threat levels to (Americans) at home and abroad." "Such a policy, if adopted, would expose the American people to risks the Obama administration is not currently exposing them to." As if the issue of water-boarding is going the make the slightest difference in whether or not radical Islamists want to kill Americans. Get in touch with the real world Mr. Emmerson. The Obama administration is against water-boarding and we're still subject to attacks from terrorists. They still want to kill us. The "threat level" can't increase much more than that. I've got some advice for you Mr. Emmerson: Sit down, shut up, stay out of the way and you can just go on believing that you're actually relevant there at the U.N.

or that the UN itself is even relevant!

We go around spreading democracy, we use the UN to help us spread democracy. Now the UN is helping to regulate our own democracy. It's a vicious circle of constantly getting in each others business. That's a good sign, it means everything is normal and there's nothing important to worry about.

?? How is this a good thing? Have you looked at the Middle East? The UN is very ineffective and is pretty much useless other than to wasted good tax payers money.

I was kind of being sarcastic, saying that it was business as usual so it must be good. It's really kind of ironic. Yeah the middle east is a complete mess, but plenty of people would argue that US and UN involvement there was necessary, and that it has done some good.

Why should UN had to intervene when there's media persuading the public and the people have their own minds and thoughts. It should have been a suggestion not to vote and not directly telling US whom you should not vote. its like dictatorship to me, such should have been discuss in public explaining what lacks romney. the UN should infact warn the candidate's policies.

Because the UN always seems to think it needs to stick it's head into the US's business. Just yet another reason we need to stop spending money on the UN.

Hiya laglen, Just to say that I saw yesterday that Romney was doing slightly better than Obama himself according to the News here anyway. Sometimes they add a snippet at the end of the News and while I was washing up I could see and hear it from the Kitchen.xxx
