Ambassador in Yemen Threatened

Al-Qaeda’s Yemen branch has announced it will pay thousands of dollars in gold to anyone who kills the US ambassador in Sanaa, the capital, or any American soldier in the country. An audio message produced by the al-Malahem Foundation, Al-Qaeda’s media arm, and posted on militant Islamist websites on Saturday, said the group is offering 3kg of gold, worth $160,000, for the ambassador’s head. It is also offering 5 million Yemeni Riyal (US$23,000) to anyone who kills an American soldier in Yemen. “Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant. The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on earth.” Omar Ahmad, Chairman of CAIR The Ikhwan must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and ‘sabotaging’ its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God's religion is made victorious over all other religions.” Explanatory Memorandum on the General Strategic Goal for the Muslim Brotherhood in North America. So when is our President going to stop pandering to Islamists like Morsi in Egypt? When is he going to start admitting that we STILL are engaged in a war on terror? That al qaeda is NOT on the run, and his bragging on the strike on bin Laden got most of Seal Team Six shot down and killed?

I think President Obama must believe the people of the US approve of his handling of the Muslim world issues since they have elected him for a second term. The way I see it, however, is that he has weakened the image of the USA militarily and diplomatically, and made us a target for barbaric nations whose goals are to conquer the USA and obliterate our freedoms and our culture. As I have said many times already here on MyLot, I believe the only answer for America's security and protection is revival. Our society has tried to throw God out in a lot of ways, and we need him now in every way possible. May people wake up to this fact.

The people that voted for the president didn't care about his foreign policy or anything else--they voted for the "free" stuff they could get. Those who did not vote for him to get the free stuff voted because he would give that stuff and their consciences would be assuaged, relieving them of having to actually do anything about what they think is poverty and want. You are right about a return to God. Have you read The Harbinger by Jonathan Cahn? I'm mentioning this book everywhere I can because it gives a scripture-backed explanation of why we are in this pickle, why the massacre of 9/11 happened and answers many other questions. It's told as a work of fiction but it's been well researched and every fact or scripture you look up, you'll find is valid. Things will continue to worsen if we don't return to God.

I've read it too dragon. And like you, I've talked about it often to others. Here is a lecture he gave at Rock Church on video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9kkClQGrNvk

When is he going to stop pandering to Islam?? Are you dreaming? This seems to be business as usual for Al Qaeda, except perhaps a little stronger than before. We know their goal is to destroy all of Christianity, Buddhism and every other religion, leaving only Islam. The religion of peace, right?

Wow,it sounds very horrible,in this situation, you American why not stop the relationship with Yemen?Because in my mind people's lives are the most important thing in the world so you guys should try to save your ambassador and soldier' lives, then after this tough situation is over you can recover the relationship with Yemen.

"He wouldn’t comment on whether security has increased since the threat." - - Yep, same as in Libya..

The UK tightened security around their envoy. Don't know about OUR security; State Department spokesman Peter Velasco said, “We take these threats very seriously,” Velasco said by telephone. “Our embassy in Yemen already operates in a highly sensitive and difficult situation,” he said. “We continue to support the government, military and people of Yemen in their efforts against violent extremism and terrorism.” He wouldn’t comment on whether security has increased since the threat. We've already lost four Americans in Libya, as you may know.

Well many are involved in such activities. If government were to stop it, then it would not take long but they want it happen. government is like that only. Well we are just residents and can't do more than discussing but that ain't going to help either. it is war of stupids in name of religion. Well forget this for time and enjoy new year eve. Cheers!
