I almost didnt recognize them.....

Sat. my homeless family- homeless no more. Came to my home with a friend of theirs. To pick up some furniture and things, I gave them. They were so clean, shaved, hair cuts. I almost didnt recognize them. it was so neat. They loved all the things I gave them. The kids told me, now they all had their own beds. Seems they only had one double bed for the four of them. Im so glad they are doing so well now...

I love such people who transition from “rags-to-riches” I do have some people I know before that they were really poor and that they would do even the dirtiest jobs so that they can earn a living. But with determination, they now have a stable and better life and still do keep their feet on the ground. We really can’t predict how life would struck luck on us, most especially to a person who before was poor and now transitioned to become stable.

well, since I have a 5 bedroom home here, and just me and my son. I want to sell someday. So Id have to give or sell the furniture im not using. I feel much better giving them some than selling to someone else. Take care there.

Good to hear how the family is doing now but also that the help is still welcome. It really warms the heart. Will you "adopt" a new homeless family now?

Great to hear that your family is back Maria. now you would be able to concentrate more on your work than before; or may be you wouldn't since there are a lot of disturbances going on in your home. i know i shouldn't have used that word 'disturbances' but for the fact that in order to focus on your work, you need to be alone. no matter what, you should prefer your family even if disturbs your work and i know you do. best of luck to you and yoru family. happy family days now. take care.

There are a a lot of people in need and they are so happy to get things. My neighbor will throw perfectly good stuff in the dumpster instead of taking it to a place that will give it to people on need. I have told her many times to bag the stuff and I will take it.

It is good to know there are still people who help other people in need. I think what you did was very noble and kind. Everyone know we won't take anything from this world in the afterlife so anything we can spare and give other people is a great deed. No man deserves to live a miserable life and we must cherish even the tiniest belongings we have, because some people don't have even this. Very kind of you, really.

That's what makes us humane more and more, paying attention to people who are often somehow invisible. Most people just hurry up in their daily routines and don't notice the so called "small people" (I hate this expression), never thinking that some day they can end up the same... An act of charity is never of surplus and may mean a small thing for those who give, but for those who receive, it's a whole Universe.
