When you are about to reach pay out

I read somewhere here that a user struggled to the bone to reach pay out when there were just two days left. Sitting through hours of myLotting could be quite a strain on one's nerves, not to forget neglecting other priorities in one's real life. I would rather wait for the next month and enjoy this place than get into a frenzy trying to reach my pay out. What is your view on this?

I did reach payout this month and last but that is a rarity. I think that I have more time because I do not yet have my grandtwins back to look after. But I have been here six years this October or so and only made payout a few times. I had a full time job then as well. I am not killing myself to make payout but many people really need the money no matter how small. I am here primarily for fun and have some good friends here on mylot and I still like logging on

I have never gone overboard trying to reach put out. But I must say in the good old days there were tasks that fetched me 4 dollars a task and I worked on several of them getting as much as 140 dollars once in a day. That is history now. Sometimes I reach the end of the month and get tempted to work relentlessly till I get there but better sense prevails and I go slow enjoying every moment interacting with users like you!

Such tasks are nowhere to be seen these days. What you see there are tasks that pay you as little as 2 cents and even one cent. You can go there and decide for yourself.

It would be stressful on my part to force myself just to reach payout before this month ends. I still have a lot of things to do so I don't have much time to be here and participate. I will just have to enjoy passing by here and see people participate. Besides, I still earn money on other sites, so I will still be enjoying my stay here in Mylot while I also earn from other sites. Have a nice day!

Many have to thank myLot for leading them to other paying sites. So it is not necessary that one should sweat it out here really, but spend time relaxing and interacting.

Well! I am also like you; I cannot break my head working my guts out like this; but we are fortunate people who can afford to do it; there will be others who may plan to pay some essential bill out of this, however small it may be.

If they keep a vigil on their performance they will know the position on an ongoing basis rather than waking up at the last moment and working at breakneck speed.

Some people need money to be able to live and missing out on cashing out for that month could be hard on them.

But if that is going to 'kill' them then is it worth struggling so? This site is where we not only earn but also learn and share and enjoy the interaction.

@allknowing I know what you are saying and I know that it can be hard for some people. If you don't have anything else, no other way of earning money then maybe so, it really is hard to say without knowing more about them.

Well i do agree with you. I don't pressure myself in getting to the payout when it's already nearing the cash out time. I just post for the sake of enjoying the discussion. At nay rate, i am sure that on the next payout i can surely have it.

The best way to have relaxed moments here is perhaps not to look at our earning chart. That way we do not get tempted to rush into activity which kills the joy of being here. I must confess I do look at my earning chart but try not to be a victim of the race.

I now make payout about every other month. It is not worth the stress of staying up late and starting discussions that have little merit or that I am not really invested in. MyLot is my fun place.

I had wondered how a MyLot payout compared to what people earn in other countries. For many people a ten dollar payout is important. Not so much so here in the US. Ten dollars is what many people make per hour. Not me, until I am in overtime, then it is over eleven, but many people do make that ten dollars in an hour.

myLot is my fun place too. Sweating it out is not my idea of being here. To get those 10 dollars even with help from photos, tasks, searches is no joke GG. It is foolish to be feverish about it.

Here in India if we engage a labourer we need to pay him almost 10 dollars per day!! They also demand tea and a lunch too!

Hi! I am least bothered about reaching pay out and do not set a deadline for it. I reached my last pay out in six months. I have no complaints because I know I do not devote much time here so pace of earning will automatically be slow. I think those who solely rely on mylot earnings or mylot earnings are very important for them, do anything to reach the payout by the end of the month. They do not hesitate to start meaningless discussions and post illogical responses.

Yes, I very much agree with you that instead of relaxing here and enjoying, some mylotters just work ceaselessly to reach their payout, near month end.

Your irregular presence does say that you are not here for money but many here are keen on earning. When they reach the last days in the month probably they work overtime to get tthere. This feverish pitch will affect them in the long run. They should be here for relaxation and get an outlet where they can really earn for their living.

How much effort one needs to put in can be judged by the average earnings in a day. If you think that your turnover in the past gives you the indication that you can make it by putting in a little extra effort, nothing like it.

I feel that the right way to enjoy myLot and be earning well is to take myLot easily. Relax your mind and body, and have a glass of water nearby, then start the myLot journey. Don't strain yourself with deadlines. If you are under pressure to participate in discussions, your output will not be of quality and these kind of "work" won't earn you well as myLot rewards quality well. So no need to rush for the payout cut-off date as if you can not make it this month, the money you have earned is still in your account and you will still be able to cash out next month.

@jkct02 puts this very nicely. We are here to have fun and learn from one another, and the payments are part of the fun and important, but for me there is no such thing as a deadline.

I will spend my time working hard, on my other earning web sites, that are close for me earning my money, I have stressed myself out, here in Mylot but I won't be doing that any more, I have made payout for next month,my other earning web sites, will be getting all my attention.

Having your eggs in many baskets is the right thing to do. One needs to pay attention to other sites that also help one earn. myLot is the only site however where one enjoys interacting, making friends, learning and sharing knowledge. I think one should be more concerned with this aspect of myLot than running and rushing to reach pay out.

Money is my primary consideration when I first got into myLot. But eventually, I learned to love this site because I get a lot of information from other members and I have the chance to converse with other people from different cultures :) I got lucky that I was able to reach payout through rewards :) I kept using the myLot search bar when doing my writing assignments :) Then I participate in several discussions that interests me. But to the point of dedicating my whole time here, not really. I have other responsibilities such as my kid and my online job and only come here when I don't feel like doing anything :)

I agree with you. It was just my observation as to what bad effects it would have on those users who struggle to reach payout specially as the month closes. They could do it sensibly by looking at their average turnover and then decide the amount of work they need to put in to get there.

That's true. But there will always be members who'll be very active just to reach the payout every month. You can notice that in the number of posts :) But that's how they want to do it here and we can't restrict them :) myLot is a free venue, although subject to guidelines, where people can post anything they want :)

i spend hours on this site. sometimes, i don't even respond or start a discussion. i just go over the responses and read. my eyes get tired. i have offline job so i come online already tired from the day's work. however, i haven't reached payout yet as i set it to the max. it's still a long, long way to go for me. if and when i get near that point, maybe i will also struggle to reach my desired amount before the end of the month. i will be very excited since it will be the first online earning for me.

Since you enjoy reading more than participating that would be one reason why you would not reach payout in a hurry. Also since you have set the maximum limit that would be yet another reason for your payout to see the light of day. Nearing it would certainly set you in a frenzy and I will not blame you for that. Hope it will be soon.

I have never been in any urgent rush to reach payout. When I was active here in the past I used to reach payout every other month, which was more than satisfactory to me. Mylot can be quite an interesting social site and an entertaining way to spend an hour or so, with the added bonus of receiving an occasional payment. If I was to chase payments it would become demanding and totally ruin any entertainment aspect. The earnings rates would need to be considerably higher to justify treating Mylot as a job.

I can't imagine posting so much that I would reach payout in one month's time. I certainly wouldn't bother staying on mylot so much just to make payout. I think it would be a sign of a somewhat sad or boring life if I was able to actually stay on mylot two straight days. Don't get me wrong. Being on mylot a lot isn't a bad thing. But to be able to devote two straight days of mylotting with nothing else to do? Yikes!

I have my pc on. I get back there frequently doing other chores in between or is it the other way around! May be I should say that I am busy dong chores and get back in between? I must confess Ambie I like being here. I spend that time which I would have otherwise spent having long conversations with friends and family. My lifestyle has changed in leaps and bounds after discovering myLot. I would rather be here than be with those boring real life contacts!

It depends on the person and how badly they wanted to read payout. I like to set a certain goal and have figured about what I have to do daily to reach payout. If this person did that then they wouldn't be struggling toward the last to reach it.

I think they were 'somehow' duped into thinking that this was some kind of "site for making money" (by the several discussions affirming that lie? by a couple of the banner-graphics myLot gives us?) That, and the human brain thinks it has to be paid for the time it spend 'working,' and--if one's register is a penny short of the payout--the money isn't 'sent' to us & the impatient brain thinks it "wasted that time." Just ignore it; oh tell them 'their pay-day is coming,' but ... similar to all the people who tell me 'my future-wife will meet me someday,' ignoring the fact that the "future-wife" could be a girl I've already met (whom they know!)

Slowly people who come here for money realise the worth of this site and then forget chasing it. But there are a few who are still wet behind their ears and they too will soon realise. About your wife I hope you will soon chase her!

I try to do what I can and not worry about. I know my children come first and I take care of the, and there needs then worry about mylot later on. I always wait till they go to bed for the most part before getting any mylotting done. I rather wait till the next month to get paid. Right now I don't think it'll make it this month because we have the next few days all planned out with activities like birthday parties spending time with family and going on a two hour trips with the kids to see trains.

i have never reached payout before and i have been on this site for months. I have started instersting conversations responded to many and only have 3.38 in my account. i am hoping that maybe i can make it next month to pay my netflix bill and maybe some itunes somgs. From now on i am on mylot mood. In my personal opinion i would try to make payout but i would be a slightly dissapointed if i was close and didnt make it.

If you diligently participate here you can easily reach pay out every second month. Don't get into a frenzy but participate at a normal pace and you will be there before you know it. My best wishes are with you.
