If the weather is hot at your place, why not a tabbouleh and then some chicken and fruits brochettes ?

@Rosekitty Tabbouleh is an easy to do salad made with semolina, tomatoes, onions, cucumber and mint. You eat it very cold.

How about a rhubarb and berry trifle? Fairly easy to make and the ingredients are rich cream and all sorts of goodies. I know it is a change from desert tho.

@Rosekitty Thank you. Something I made up. You can tell what's in it from the picture. I like to throw things together. I call it hodge-podge and if we like it, it gets a name and I make it again.

I just popped a frozen dinner into the oven. I'm not much on cooking especially since I cook for just me. Too much food goes to waste.

Meatloaf is one of my faves and I love having leftover sandwiches with it. Burgers are another.. but I prefer turkey burgers to beef, I'm weird like that. We do a lot of easy meals as I really dislike cooking, especially after working an 8 hour day. We'll do Hamburger Helper type meals or things like that just to make it easier on me.. Pulled pork, sloppy joes.. not really faves but I do like to have them. We make tacos almost weekly because the kids and hubby like it. I prefer chicken fajitas or quesadillas.

Well, you got a lot of good and some exotic, at least for me suggestions here. My favorite though is a simple casserole. In fact I have streamlined it down so I don't even put it in the oven. I make a box of Deluxe Kraft macaroni and cheese, then I add a can of drained tuna and a can of cram of mushroom soup. We call it tuna noodle casserole. Just minutes from stove to stomach. lol

So, pizza is a great meal. There is a pizza joint down the block and around the corner that is good. Fried chicken is also excellent, and that place is a little bit further down the road in the next town, but it is worth the trip. If we are talking burgers, then go down the road a bit the other way, and there is a hole-in-the-wall burger joint that makes the best burgers and fries ... real fries that they cut up and fry on premises.

@Rosekitty And the best part of this date is not only do we not gain any weight but we get paid to go on it rather than having to pay for it! I do not really like cooking all that much, and I am not as fond of my own cooking as other people seem to be. Even I must admit, though, that I make some killer chili and spaghetti sauce.

I can survive only on desserts if you have custards, jellys, some choco icecream and some fruits For the food part.... that is hectic task... still let me try and keep things simple, real simple.... Noodles, rice and some veggies (beans, carrots, capsicum anything that you can add).
