I LOVE thrift stores! I used to buy loads and loads of STUFF - but these days since we are limited in space, I am quite picky with what I buy now - so I most likely won't spend any more than $10-20 at a time. To me it's rather fun digging for treasure - I get bored at the normal chain stores - and I don't want to pay their prices!

I love thrift stores. We just had a new one open up in our town and the first weekend everything as 1/2 off of its original price. I got our 6 year old 5 pairs of bluejeans for school. They were each 75 cents per pair. I love a good deal!!!

I think you do not go frequently, that is why you tend to spend more in one go. My house is very near to many shopping malls, and shops, so I do not have the urge to buy things when they are on steep discount. I tend to think about it before buying. After all, most shops are just ten to twenty minutes walk away.

I've heard thrift stores used to be good for finding old stereo gear, but that was before I got into the hobby. Now everyone is hip to eBay and Craigslist. I do go to the Dollar Store to get stuff like shampoo and Coconut Juice.

I think the most I've ever spent at a thrift store is probably $40. Even at thrift stores I'm really picky about the prices I pay. I still try to find the discounted tags and will only pay regular price for something that is really nice and I really want it.

Oh, yeah. I love the deals that I can find at thrift stores! I just picked up a paper shredder at the store down the street for $10. When I went to find a manual for it online, I realized it was originally $300! I've been donating a lot more things than I've purchased recently, though. We just got rid of a big hutch that we had, and it's amazing how much better I feel having that thing out of the house. I'm sure someone will find it at Goodwill and fall in love with it.

Whether a normal or thrift shop store I know what I want when I walk in--I hate shopping except for food!! And yes I shop in thrift stores!

I love bargains so I do both. When I shop thrift stores I never spend a whole bunch not more than $20. And even when I shop thrift stores I do it when they have a $1.00 sale or +other sale on. When shopping online or in regular stores I look for good deals as well so I probably spend the same as in a thrift store,

I have gotten so spoiled shopping at thrift stores. Even when retail stores have a great clearance section, I'm still looking for a better price!

I used to go to a lot of charity shops but when the recession hit in 2008, their prices started to rise and a lot of people who needed them flocked to the stores. Then I stopped. Even if there were bargains, others needed them more than I did. Also the internet meant that everybody thought they knew what things were worth.

Oh yes all the time! I love the idea of not knowing whether you will find anything useful but then finding all sorts of treasures - and of course they are all bargains and the money you spend supports a good cause so what's not to like?

I can't ever remember going into a thrift store lol, sounds like it might be a fun adventure. I tend to shop in the chain stores and run everything into the ground, once the holes get to big sort of thing.

I'm not sure exactly what a thrift store is, but I'm guessing it's similar to our charity shops, which I love browsing, you can get some really unusual bits and bobs in them.
