I went to publix grocery storeto do the Saturday coupons deal instead of stuff with just coupons I found these strawberries, yes they still have plenty. I paid $1.00 each. Now I will can some and eat some. Do you buy in bulk like this when expensive foods are on sale?

I have yet to get into the coupon culture. I buy so much online and yet do not know what this coupon stuff is all about.

If you buy online then you get a coupon code, coupons mean its a piece of paper from the manufacturer and they have a price on them and we give to the grocery store and they take that amount off. Online coupon code do the same, you get money off your purchase.

I looked at the berries in Publix last time we were there and half of each package had rotten one. It depends on what's on sale and what we like or need.

If it is something I can use within a reasonable time. I am loving strawberries this time of year when they are local.

Not that much. We only buy what we can consume in one meal or two... But I love strawberries. $1 for 1 pack is a good deal..

@andriaperry Oh, yes! If you can't go to the supermarket or grocery store that often, it is good to stock foods and other items that you need until the next time you can go there again.. Strawberries in supermarkets here are quite expensive and not as fresh as those on your picture.

Wow, you got a good buy! I paid $2 a container for them last week! They were worth it though. I don't buy much in bulk as it will go to waste. I am the only one that eats fruit in our house so unless I am freezing it, I don't buy in large quantities.

Yes, I do buy in bulk when I find deals like that. $1.00 is a great deal for strawberries. I would buy them and freeze. Use them for smoothies in the summer.

I am thinking of home canning these because as you know I want to stop relying on my freezer. BUT I do have some already in the deep freezer so that is why I want to make something with these.

I do buy in bulk when things are a great deal but with strawberries they go bad fast so I never buy more then two packages at a time. $1 is an excellent deal. I have never seen them that low priced.

@andriaperry I could and probably would if I find them that low priced but I have never seen then less them $2.50 here. My son loves eating them fresh.

If we find a great deal on items that can be quickly prepped for storage, yes, we will buy in bulk.

That's very cheap. Strawberries are usually expensive in my country so I hardly able to purchase them. Even in sales, they're still expensive.

When prices go down on products we usually cannot afford we definitely buy in bulk. Of course within reason depending on how long they can stay around.
