The Wind Was Crazy Today

Living in the woods is fine and dandy except when the wind is ferocious. And it was today. I enjoy watching the trees sway - it's beautiful and awesome. But it's also frightening because you never know when one of those beauties is going to keel over and crash.
Now that the wind has subsided a bit, I see that many large limbs and branches have fallen on the deck and in the yard. No damage though and that's a good thing. We did lose power for about two hours but thankfully it's back on too.
I do hope the weather is good where you are. We've had some devastating storms in the last couple of days here in the United States and unfortunately some deaths resulted.

At one time, trees were strong but it seems that many trees are weak and even a little storm may cause branches to fall and damage whatever happens to be under.Y es, I saw the huge tornadoes on the news that happened in Texas and elsewhere. I think about a dozen people were killed.

The weather has been very bad for many. I read that a family were swept away in their car but survived when it landed miles away. Crazy.

@suziecat7 Yes, that is crazy and it seems to be crazy everywhere. Lately, here we are having so much rain. I'm sure that April may have broken some records. In my area there has been some serious flooding.

Our winds must have made it to your side on the nation. It's been windy here for several days. Today it's just slightly windy. We have been having a lot of rain as well. But after today that's supposed to change. Sunshine the rest of the week. They are even forecasting new 80º on Thursday. It's been something like 216 days since our last 70º day.

Yes, those trees have caused damage during storms.we have that problem here too though the trees look so fresh and green in spring

@suziecat7 We had some rough wind here too yesterday! We have a million pine trees on our property so any time the wind gets heavy we feel the same way. We are praying if one falls it won't hit the house! It's crazy!

We had a lot of wind these past couple weeks - very odd to have had all that wind in spring for us. We have one the biggest trees on this street . . . a couple big branches came down but luckily no one and no cars were around. There's all kinds of sticks around the front yard . . . I crunched a lot of them with my SUV on the driveway. The winds finally left us Sunday, and as much as I hated the winds, it did keep us cool . . . so now the heat is showing itself.
