Stuck in the Mud

The sun was shining, the grass still growing and I pushed the back door open and I shoved my way through the grass, hoping that there would be no ticks hanging on looking for a blood donor. I waded to the shed and got the extension cord, the battery charger and headed out to the riding mower sitting, broken down in the middle of the yard. Tony hooked`er up and I filled the tank to old push mower with the wobbly back tire. I fired up the mower and began to cut my way out , the back door first and then around to the front door, stopped and refilled with gas.... I knew I had to find the dogs out in the green mass, I could hear them bark. First down to Harley and next up to Roscoe, both dogs jumping for joy! They could now see again. With the battery charged and a new spark plug old yellow fired up and Tony, yes TONY began to mow and mow and mow! Driving my mower like he stole it. With a home in sight and the dogs able to walk around I ran out of gas..... I pushed the mower to the shed and then I hear nothing. I walk out and Tony did the unthinkable..... he went out to the lower field. I yelled " Are you okay?" He said " I am stuck in the mud!" I walked out to help and we barely got it out of the ankle deep water, to a dry hump... she is waiting to be fired up again, But not today. That was my adventure in mowing grass all evening. How was your day?

Does that mean Tony is feeling better? I mowed today, and know all to well the joys of the battery dying

Relaxed. But tomorrow the counting down for vacations starts again. I did not want to do anything because Leticia is an expert in hiding things. So I did not want to spend the day in something she´d do in seconds.

The only time my husband got 'stuck' was when he mowed the ditch when he knew it was wet....twice, once I pulled him out with the golf cart but another time it required the SUV.

And I told him yesterday that the bottom field is flooded after I walked the dogs! And he could see the new rain pond!....... I shake my head. I got another old mower, we charged the battery so if the drowned mower wont crank today I will hook it up to the old mower and pull it home.

Our yard is getting to be a bit swampy. I wanted to weed out the garden, but with all the rain we are getting I don't dare to venture into it for fear of sinking to my knees. LOL. Yesterday we had some sun, but more rain too. This really has been a rainy season. I think April is trying to make a comeback.

I can't say we've ever gotten a mower stuck in the mud, but you have much more property than we do. Hope you can get to safely to dry ground again. lol

Phew I can just imagine how exhausting that was! My day was spent mostly at the doctor's appointment.

I'm happy to see that Tony is helping out a bit even if he did get stuck in the mud. No adventures here...life is pretty quiet

I'm glad you were able to get the mower out of the mud. It must have been quite an effort to shift it.

That thing can't be light as it is, let alone stuck in the mud.
