The only person really qualified to answer you or to vary the rules is @GoAskAlice, the Admin. He may respond here or he may choose to send you a PM. My understanding of the way that things stand at the moment is that it would be far too complicated for Admin to have to decide in individual cases where content is 'recycled' what is a person's own, original work and what is not and whether it is 'monetized' in any way or not. It might also be difficult to justify allowing one person to post recycled content and not others. It is very much simpler, therefore to say that if any content can be found elsewhere on the Internet using the usual tools to check for plagiarism, it shall not be allowed EXCEPT under the circumstances as detailed in this post:

You definitely will not see much monetary results from poems. Still try to redo the poems a little and see how that goes.

The problem with this is that it makes it difficult to distinguish plagiarism from simply syndicated content. This is the main reason that we insist that content be exclusive. But it also lends an atmosphere of uniqueness. Sort of a "small town" atmosphere to the site.

According to the rules for the site, you can't post the same thing, you post elsewhere, which is why it was deleted.

Places like this are generally not suited for fiction, or poetry, or even art for that matter. I remember Bubblews allowed a lot of that sort of thing, and while it had an audience, it did seem to detract from the site a bit.

Maybe you can just write some poems exclusively for Mylot.

If you already post your poem somewhere, for sure myLot will delete it. Because it will consider copying of contents there. I think you should read the guidelines, it will help you.
