When the weather gets cold how many blankets to you use at night?  

well, i turn up the heat and i only use 1 blanket

Here in the Hudson valley, my windows are still wide open. Right now a sheet and a loght weight comforter. The heat in my bedroom only goes on when the thermostat goes below the minimum on it -- which I think is 45. I can't sleep when I am too warm, but prefer a mountain of blankets to having the room warm.

I also use my labs for warmth...one will lean on my legs the other on my back...they are better then any electric blanket

Well,for me, I don't have to add more than one blanket since it is not that cold during winter here. And in fact, it never snows and seldom freezes.

Here in pur country it doesnt really get cold but when there is a typhoon one blanket is enough for me since its a thick one made of wool.

I just bring very thick blanket from Eurpe and when it will be cold I would use that one.This is one is so thick I would not need any other.

I always need to be covered up. Even in the summer I have to have a blanket on in order to sleep. I am in a Northern Rural Canada community and it gets cold fast. Already we have frost in the mornings. I used to use Comforters but now I have 3 of those flat hospital style blankets that tend to hold a lot more heat. Plus my sheets.
When I was younger I never made my bed. I thought I am just going to mess it up so what's the point. But after having kids and having them make theirs every day I thought I should make mine. I actually have to make my bed everyday now no matter how busy or sick. I love getting into a fresh bed every night. HEHE

Here in Michigan it's gotten quite cold the last several nights. Like down in the high 30s. Brrrr!

I normally just use one blanket and a sheet but when it gets really chilly (like now) I get my down comforter out and just use that and a sheet. I used to have to have 3 or 4 blankets or one blanket and an electric blanket to keep warm as we keep our house quite cold in winter. Like 62 in winter because it is so expensive to heat our house.

Under the down comforter which is very lightweight we are toasty warm and often times too warm. Down is awesome. I mean, when you figure that the ducks can swim around in cold water in the winter, down must be good stuff!

About two really think blankets and one thin one. I can't stand being cold! Or hot! It's in the 40's here in Kentucky at night time. :( So soon. I'm not ready for winter or cold weather. :( Winter seems to be depressing especially after New Years. :(

We turn off the heating and open the window to let in fresh, cold air.

We also don't have blankets but use a duvet, a downie, a down filled sort of quilt encased in a sheet.

My wife has just changed from a light summer downie to our winter downie but I often kick it off as it is still quite mild and no frosts with us yet.

Sometimes I wake on a winters morning and there is frost on the inside of the windows!

I much prefer the cold to the heat.

I get cold very easy due to Raynaud's and CREST so I have to keep pretty warm. I use to pile the blankets on till we got a heating blanket and the heating blanket works better!
